In all seriousness, it's a good time. They'll get a point deduction this season because it's not over yet and because they were going down anyway it won't really matter.

I sincerely hope they get through this. Its bad to see any club in this position. We very nearly faced the same fate 3 years ago so I can appreciate how gutted the Leeds fans must be. Good luck Leeds.

It's really sad, seeing what's happening to Leeds.

I remember those days when Kewell, Viduka and Smith shined in CL.:(

Leeds went totally bust before, they used to be called Leeds City around the time of WWI. The club formed to replace them was Leeds United.

If any club deserves it, it's them. Their Munich songs even made Arsenal fans cringe.

The Football League should suspend Leeds United's points deduction so that it comes into force next season, that'll learn em for trying to cheat the system and the clubs in League One that went into administration before them.

Why are you so happy? Just because you're a Manchester United fan doesn't mean you automatically MUST hate the likes of Liverpool, Leeds, etc..

I hope they get through this really. I also remember the days when they used to play well in the CL.

Leeds aren't a peer of any of the big clubs anymore, and all of them (except Chelsea I think) have taken advantage of Leeds' position and robbed them of a big time player.

Arsenal, they actually loaned Leeds a player.

Chelsea wasn't a big international club yet, when Leeds started having problems.

chelsea have been a big club since the late 90's when they won the CWC and qualified for The CL, since then, they have consistently qualified for Europe, they could have easily exploited Leeds but instead they sent them Jody Morris(H)

Well atleast Abramovich wasn't there yet, so they didn't have the money to buy any of their 'big time' players.

Leeds in the third division.

Say, where are all those Aussie Leeds fans who were all on this forum about 3/4 years ago? Where are ya? Also come to think of it, whatever happened to Marching On Together? He was as camp as a row of tents!

Yeah, Chelsea were dangerously close to winding up in the same position as Leeds before Abramovich arrived. And come on, they weren't a "big international club" in the late 90's. Gus Poyet and Ed DeGoey were never going to win anything.

they were splashing out way before abrahmovic came, spending 15 million on hasselbaink and 12 million on sutton before his arrival. They were favourites to win the league in 1999/2000, i remember, many journalists giving them the title before the season started, and going on overdrive when they beat man united 5-0 (they finished fifth). and ed de goey and gus poyet along with legends such as zola, vialli, weah, le saux, deschamps, desailly, leboeuf won 2 fa cups and a cup winners cup
