Am i the only 1 who really rocks at fifa on a keyboard? I tried a gamepad once and i just didn't like the feel of it. I have my mindset with the controls a,s,d,w etc.... Seems to me the best way is keyboard..Guess i'll find out when i start playing league ..However i never have a problem with taking jamaica to the worldcup when i want to http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif can't wait to say "JUST BRING IT"

and one thing - don't even think that you have more options with gamepad - you can't do combinations like alt+e and alt+q and ctrl+e and etc - the combinations on the keyboard are endless - yeah it's a bit tough to master but once you do ...

and you MUST care about my 90 wins because they're done probably against players as good or even better than you

Well i'm already signed up at fifaclubs.com for the " usa " region..I tried sneaking in the european and brazil but they said i couldn't... ehhe I was wanting more competition so i figured my as well go where the best players are....that being said.I'm not gonna be an idiot and start playing people on the net day 1..I'll give it a few days..There is supposedly some changes and of course that takes days to get used to...especially for us keyboard experts http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif

Keyboard? No, if u play better with a keyboard ur not a very good player. The control of a gamepad is unparalled

I think its a matter of personal preference and which one you get comfortable with first. keyboard users that are comfortable playing with the keyboard can not immagine switching to the pad. on the other hand, pad players that have used gamepads can not immagine switching over to keyboard. I also noticed that you guys equate your input devices to your skillz. I think that if you do not have an understanding of the game, you won't do well no matter what input device you use and vice versa. But this is just my humble opinion. I personally use the keyboard. I tried a gamepad, just didn't feel the same.

yeah man, it just doesn't feel right - it gives the game a certain "console-like" feeling http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif- i personally don't play console games but i guess some people who do (like the CANADIAN i'm sure) find it much better when they play PC games with the same controller...

fifa is the only game i play.

hey i seem to be the only one who can use both the keyboard and gamepad, i had a MS Sidewinder but it kept getting stuck going left so i sent it back and will get another one shortly, but in the transition period i have been using the keyboard like i did in the old days with fifa 97, 98 and 99 and i play just as well with both, am i the only one who can do this?

I can't imagine that you get any real advantage from what you use... I never see people beating me because they used a pad or keyboard. If they win it is cause they are better

I'm a keyboard player too, and for me it helps me the most in the - how do I say that in Englisch - more slower portions of the game. For instance when you stand still and turn away and then turn turn the other way, it's that kind of moves (excecuted with the arrow keys, NOT with the special move keys) that I can't do with the gamepad. I also like the three shooting 'buttons' (lob, pass, shoot) beside eachother. I even configure each other sportsgame that I play (like NHL) in the same FIFA way.

But all off this is very personal. Dave is right: you only win if you're better than your opponent. But I know that I'm not half as good on a gamepad as on a keyboard.

And then i have another question...anyone have the Logitech Wingman gamepad ? Anyone nows if that one will be good to Fifa 2001. (im not trying to continue this discussion about gamepad-keybord but im just wondering if anyone nows.

I have been playing FIFA games w/ the Keyboard for two years in a row. I just think you get better control with a keyboard.

my friend, did you check out that site from my previous post - if not do it ..most of the people i beat are with gamepads and i can tell you - keyboard is veeeeeerrrrryyy effective against gamepad so don't worry about that...
