I dont understand some people! All the people who voted for fifa 2k on poll on the official site are just dumb :P Fifa 2k was the biggest piece of ****, if they think people liked it then they will continue to make fifa games with that ****ty gameplay! Fifa 99 is the way to go!!!!

I agree with you dude, I to am surprised by the results of the poll so far, Fifa 2000 was very dissapointing, for me World Cup 98 is by far the best and the way the fifa series is going it looks like it always will be, lets hope EA offer something different this time round but hey dont hold your breath.

Just because you do not like it, does not mean people do not like it -- I was pretty frustrated with the leagues, and the small pitch, and the speed of the game, but still loved to play it. FIFA 99 was a worse game than FIFA 2000, as I think.

FIFA 99 was a horrible game. I missed FIFA 98 RTWC so much. The action is much smoother and realistic. Playing in World Class mode in FIFA 99 is repetitive and straining.

U can argue about which one u like better, but by no way is fifa2k the best out of all of them. It shouldnt be winning the poll

i voted fifa2000 coz i have never played the others...
though you got to ecmit there are "some" good things in the game...
(season mode, international teams, endless updates)

My opinion is that Fifa 96 (those of you who have played it might know) is probably the best of the lot, (in terms of quality of game for it's time, compared to other fifa titles). The commentary was excellent and the field was a nice size. It really felt like soccer/football. And you could also make your own "Dream Team".

If i had to chose one of the other Fifa's, i would say 98 RTWC was the best. It had all the teams, many players, game-play for its time was superb, and it was challenging when making your way to the World Cup.

I believe some may have voted on which game is best, that being FIFA2000 because it's the newest. In terms of best for it's time, well fifa 96 and fifa 98.

Viper, pretty rich topic that. I don't know about this voting and when or why it happened, but what I can't believe is how many people still believe fifa 9x, or 200x is a football game.
Yes, once , I too was a fifa zoid, I thought fifa was awesome, the best thing since canned beer( or since sliced bread for you young ones ! ), but alas, I have awoken to what real football games could be like. A game where your goals is not dependent on when you press the d button, but more on the skill in how long you hold it in, the control ( in both height and direction ) you choose to shoot it in. A game where events and ball flight is not scripted, where real life tactics score you goals, and not taking your goalie and running through the entire defence.
I'm not a dreamer, not anymore, I know it can be done, and everyday I visit this gaming board I ponder over the question, the question that drives me insane. Why do you all put so much effort into a game where the games company rightly doesn't give a crap ? If only you( the guys that create strips, pitches, crowd noises, new leagues, etc, etc. ) had put these efforts into a gaming company that really listens, that wants to give us a bigger and better football game, just imagine the awesome game we could've had !
