I'd like to buy one of the old Championship Manager games off eBay (I've had a lot of fun playing with old teams and saying 'Oh! Look where he is!'). Which one is the best?

This should be in the Older Championship Manager Titles Forum...

Anyway, Id say 01/02. The best of the pre-2d enigne games

For me as well, the first I played in the series. Tom might say 00/01, though. Let's see if he does.

Why would i say that Ruud? If i was gonna go all 'veteran' on you id say CM2.

CM0102 was the best engine, and it's probably still the most enjoyable.

$12 including shipping is a good price off eBay? Do you think I could find it for less?

Decent. Try kelkoo.co.uk or whatever it's called, they might give you some prices on it.

One last question; is there a memory editor like to FMM for FM07?

There's awesome save game editors, but no specific memory editor. A hex-editor could do the trick, if you can find cm-tables to go with it, but you're best off with one of the save game editors.

For example, there's Graeme Kelly's effort: http://www.sigames.com/downloads.php?type=view&id=72

Also, get the patch: http://www.sigames.com/downloads.php?type=view&id=155

I've noticed you can't change finances with Kelly's editor, is there one that does allow that?

Maybe God Editor can. Can also be found on the SIGames.com site: http://www.sigames.com/downloads.php?type=view&id=140

Yeah I saw that one, the one I have is the beta, dunno if he made a later version, but he says that he hadn't figured out how to do finances, but he did mention that others had but I haven't seen anything else.

Moving this now, it really should be in the older games forum.

Look for CM Explorer, that could work. This link (http://www.fcmc.pl/download/pobierz/28) works.
