pele was in the old ages and that is just vanished. but diego ruled in the new ages and do you know how hard to be a soccer player in the new ages? well 4 defense + 3-4 midfilders diffending the net. in the old ages most of the clubs or countries had 2-3 diffense and all the midfielders played offense and barely helped the defense. so even my grandma could of played in the 50s-60s. the tactics and the game play have changed since so pele was the best then but now no one is still good as maradona.

He was a complete player he was fast, kicked well with either feet, had a very good header, awesome dribbler, new how to pass and was a MATADOR.

As for a player winning a world cup alone that goes to ROMARIO in 94. The whole team only knew how to defend no one created the plays, romario scored some awesome headers winning from defenders almost 2wice taller than him.

Pele played in the 70s too, he won a world cup in the 70 where most of the formations are the same we see i football today 4-4-2 and what he did at that time no other player did, maradona doesnt come close to PELEs achivements, and dont tell me your father could do better then pele at that time NO ONE DID BETTER THEN HIM AT THAT TIME he was what michel jordan was to basktball.

Romario has as many titles as Maradona and I think romario is as good striker as maradona was a midfilder.
