I agree with what you are saying about "dumb" people.
My opinion is that Fifa 96 PC (those of you who have played it might know) is probably the best of the lot, (in terms of quality of game for it's time, compared to other fifa titles). The commentary was excellent and the field was a nice size. It really felt like soccer/football. And you could also make your own "Dream Team".
If i had to chose one of the other Fifa's, i would say 98 RTWC was the best. It had all the teams, many players, game-play for its time was superb, and it was challenging when making your way to the World Cup.
I believe some may have voted on which game is best, that being FIFA2000 because it's the newest. In terms of best for it's time, well fifa 96 and fifa 98.
