So we're linked to VdV and deals for Mellberg :| and Albin Ekdahl are almost done.

theo
16-12-2007, 12:36:AM
I wouldn't say no to Mellberg if VdV would be almost confirmed :p plus Ekdal looks to be a pretty promising AM... tall, pretty solid, and only 18.

Lazio 2-3 Juventus

Trezeguet and Del Piero with a double (Y)

seems that we are also close to sign Czech forward Fenin for about 4m €.
I hope we sign Ivanovic too but Chelsea is in the mix so we can probably forget him. Zapata would be my 2nd choice. At LB, if Molinaro can't cut it then Catania's Vargas would be great. Excellent crosses, can dribble well and is good defensively. He knows Serie A football and is only 25.

 Zanetti was also great today and Gigi is Gigi.

hey guys! i seem to think that juve have got belief in themselves...

ok our defence is still shaky. and it needs to be sorted out big time.

but elsewhere our midfield and our attack is doing wonders! del piero just keeps on going and going. and so far trezeguet is the capocannoniere.

i have one question after watching the lazio and juve game. why didnt we go for pandev? he is a great young player.

ok i guess u all know i am macedonian and i would obviously live to see my fellow countryman in the juve team. but i just think that we should have made a play for him 24 yrs old and very promising. 3 goals against real madrid 2 goals against juventus... he is doing pretty well. i mean with del piero not getting any younger i think a trezeguet-pandev tandem wouldve been great!

he's been great, deserves a NT (re)-call-up, bench place, but call-up none the less

nocerino isn't far off either

tiago and almiron have been amazing flops

Rumour from Argentina (Diario Ole)

Juve is willing to pay 15-20 million for Ever Banega, the young defensive midfielder of Boca...

Another overrated player, IMO...

My question is this, can Juve pay 20 million for an under 20 player...? he doesnt score goals, he isnt fast, the only thing above average of Banega is his ball control...

How is the situation with Almiron...?

River wants a six month loan...

mark77
20-12-2007, 05:24:PM
I'd be surprised if we paid that amount for him. We're linked with about 100 player per day.

Almiron as been disappointing. Some Greek and Russian clubs want him and he'll probably leave this winter mercato.

any good players coming out of Argentina?

Juve are said to be after Parma's 21-year old Luca Cigarini, in order to replace Sergio Almiron. the press says that Marchisio and De Ceglie could be involved in an exchange for Cigarini.

I hope it happens, never really seen him play but everybody says he's the next Pirlo so why not?

edit: I don't agree with the exchange part, though I think we should sign him.

mark77

Marchisio alone is worth more than Cigarini. De Ceglie is our future LB. no thanks!

Maaaa noooooo! This Juventus depresses me. :( The team, the men in charge, the transfers... Parole parole parole while Juve is losing 1-0 at Catania.

I wonder where Juve will be in 5 years with this board of administrators and Secco. It's better to not think about it.

We're so gonna get a beating in the Coppa today. No defense, no Buffon and no Nedved + Tiago, Boumsong and Almiron are as good as gone. Criscito and Olivera already loaned out and no new faces arriving yet. Sissoko and Mellberg? God help us all. :(

Secco, Blanc, Cobolli...get the F*CK outta here!!!

Now Marchionni is probably out for the season... Tiago and Almiron out... Soon we won't be able to put 11 men on the field.

Official: Almiron on loan to Monaco for 6 months
http://www.asm-fc.com/article.aspx?id=4883

What a disaster all these transfers have been... Unbelievable. They're only trying to calm the fans by promising ''world class players''. It's all bs! Ever since they (Cobolli, Blanc, Secco) arrived it's blah blah blah.

If you look at it...

Cannavaro -> Boumsong? (Hahahaha... Gone. I hope)
Thuram -> Andrade? (Is he still alive?)
Zambrotta -> Molinaro? (Oh gosh..)
Emerson -> Almiron? (Gone)
Vieira -> Tiago? (Soon to be gone)
Mutu -> Bojinov? (Long gone)
Ibrahimovic -> Iaquinta? (Alright...)

It's useless to look at it this way... But... :(

In an ideal world it'd be Mellberg, Sissoko, VDV and...Diego.

mark77
26-01-2008, 01:12:AM
VDV and Diego is too much. VDV and a striker like Huntelaar would be sweet!

anyway, seems like we'll sign Lazio CB Guglielmo Stendardo on loan tomorrow. He's suspended 3 games from Serie A but is needed for the Coppa game since we only have Legrottaglie available as a pure CB. :|

FC Tokyo eye bid for Juventus star Nedved

TOKYO, Feb 8 (Reuters) - Japanese club FC Tokyo have not ruled out an audacious move for former European Footballer of the Year Pavel Nedved of the Czech Republic.

'It's not out of the question,' FC Tokyo official Fumitoshi Wakabayashi said on Friday. 'The club is always trying to improve and (Nedved) could be one option.'

The J-League club are lining up an offer for the Juventus midfielder in July in a deal worth around £5million, Japan's Nikkan Sports daily reported.

'There is nothing concrete to say at this stage,' Wakabayashi said. 'But in truth I can't say if there's been contact made and at what level.'

The 35-year-old Nedved won 91 caps for his country before retiring from international duty shortly after the 2006 World Cup. He was voted European player of the year in 2003.

'It all depends how things develop from now,' FC Tokyo chairman Yutaka Murabayashi was quoted as saying. 'But we will do everything we can (to sign Nedved).'

It is believed there has already been contact between the Japanese club and Nedved's agent.

Should he make the move, Nedved would follow a number of big-name players to join J-league clubs in the twilight of their careers, including former England striker Gary Lineker, Bulgaria's Hristo Stoichkov and Brazil great Zico.

FC Tokyo joined Japan's professional J-League in 1999 but have never challenged for the first division title, fourth place in 2003 their best finish to date. They were 12th in 2007.

With all the rumours going on I feel like fantasizing...

How sweet would this line-up be? The Aquilani rumours are pretty strong.

Trezeguet Iaquinta
Marchisio Aquilani Camoranesi
Sissoko
Vargas Chiellini Zapata Zebina
Buffon

Maybe De Ceglie or Dossena for Vargas and Zanetti in Marchisio's place (they still better bring him back). This team would challenge for the scudetto I think. Maybe even the Champions League...

... but as long Secco, Blanc and Gigli are in place... Oh well. :(

Any news on transfers guys?

take this with a pinch of salt. Taken from different sources(media, transfer gurus...)

Giovinco and Marchisio will be back. De Ceglie maybe. Forward Lanzafame is doing great with Bari but will be probably loaned out another season.

As for transfers:

1. Amauri, Huntelaar, Gomez or Elmander for a forward position
2. Vargas, Dossena, Pasqual or Modesto :sb9: for the LB position
3. Aquilani :o , Hamsik or Cigarini for tyhe central mid position
4. Zapata, Lugano ans also Piqué for the CB position
5. we are also looking for some young South American talents: Piatti, Buonanotte, Escudero... I'd go for R. Augusto of Flamengo.

Focus on a world class defender!!!

well im uncertain as to whether ppl still remember this face.....but ere goes!!:P

i havent been paying much attention to SG, but im pleased to say that watching juventus this season has been great. juventino u have said it. at the present point after our 3-3 draw with samp, del piero (21) and trezeguet (20) are the top scorers in the league. so do we need a change up front? i say no. what juventus needs to focus on is another midfielder to take nedveds place when he retires. whether ranieri can work someone else in nedveds spot and put giovinco in an attacking mid position remains to be seen. personally i think buying amauri would have to lead to a forward or 2 leaving. in which case if i had to choose that would be iaquinta and palladino.. no way would i give up LA COPPIA D'ORO!

on the defence, juves problem has always been getting a solid defence. realistically we have had too many drawn games this season. if those draws were wins we would be contenders for the title today. my question is... do we bring brack RAMBO zambrotta? or do we look for someone more younger and ready to rejuvenate our team? these are questions secco and co will have to answer for us the fans.

on seccos first year....well he bought in iaquinta but vinnie hasnt had the best of first seasons. i think his best move by far was momo sissoko. i think mom has played well for us. he is still young and well he even scored his first goal for the bianconeri a few weeks after his signing. ever since then he has played a great half season. i have no idea whether the red card will run into next season, but id say that was his only blemish so far.

onto the UCL next year....and b4 that i guess FORZA ITALIA PER I EUROPEI!

lastly i would like to say that ill be travelling 5 hrs by plane to watch juventus play a friendly over here in melbourne australia. i am thrilled at the chance of watching the bianconeri play. so ill be heading from perth to melbourne cheering on our bianconeri!

After Amauri(to be confirmed next week) Juve are targeting X. Alonso. Liverpool could let him go if they sign Barry. Alonso for 16-18m € would be great.

Blasi's other ½ is no longer Juve's. Napoli bought it for 1.7m € and Zalayeta stays another year with Napoli also.

Albin Ekdal signs 4-year contract with Juventus

Juventus Football Club have officially signed footballer Albin Ekdal from Swedish Club IF Brommapojkarna for 0.6 million Euros; the four-year contract with the player will end on June 30 2012.

Swedish attacking midfielder Albin Ekdal was born on July 28 1989 and has already played 4 seasons at Brommapojkarna in the Swedish League – 2 in the youth teams and 2 in the first team – and is a first-team regular in the Swedish Under 19 national team, where he has collected 5 caps and one goal up until now.

The player expressed his satisfaction about signing the contract: «I'm very happy and proud to have the opportunity to wear Juventus' colours. This will be an important experience in terms of my professional growth and my career. I'll have the chance to play and train with many great players and I can't wait to begin doing so».

Alessio Secco also wanted to express his satisfaction about the successful signing just completed: «Albin is a young and very promising player. His signing is part of a project Juventus have to invest in young players. We're happy that Ekdal has chosen to join our team: he will certainly be an important player who will do his part in helping to build Juventus'

signed? I don't know. We were linked with him for a while but we'll be soon presenting Amauri who's the same type of player as him.

Depends what sources your friend as. :D

so far our transfer campaign could look like this: Mellberg, Ekdal, Giovinco, Marchisio, De Ceglie, Amauri, X. Alonso...possibly a strong CB if we pass the CL preliminaries and a LB if we loan out De Ceglie.

Welcome to Amauri! (Y)

22.8m € for him. Nocerino to Palermo for 7.5m € and later on Lanzafame could be co-owned to Palermo and bought back by Juve for a pre-established fee.

Next target is a solid mid. X. Alonso, Aquilani...

Is Amauri good?

Of course he's good. Scores his own share of goals and makes many assists also. About the same style as Zlatan.

but why do you guys need another forward? i realize he's good but you have Iaquanta, Trez and Del Pierro... couldn't have you focused on another middy other than alonzo? you can never have enough middies...

Juve will be in the Champion's League next year, we need all the strikers we can get to able to rotate them effectively. We can't have players playing too many games without rest. Two solid midfielders and 2 good center-backs are what Juve should focus on now.

I hate to see all the clubs going for top class players and Juve is just sitting there waiting? WTF man we need to get our respect back... go buy some good players and win the ******* Champions League!!!

Seems to be a done deal to be confirmed early next week. Next target is a LB according to many rumors even if Cobolli and Secco said De Ceglie will stay after being bought(co-ownership) for 3.5m €. Fabio Grosso is on top of that list.

Grosso would be great!

No Grosso please, he's a mediocre player, pretty old and Inter-material.

How old is Grosso?

Grosso is like superman when playing for the NT

I don't know if he can reproduce that form weekly at club level, he's 31 in November.

Depectively tall at 1.90 but very quick, top shelf technical ability. I would love him at Juve, more talent in his little toe than Molinaro.

So what's the latest on Xabi Alonso? Is he waiting for "after the tournament"?

Apparently his decision is made. He agreed to sign for us a little while ago. They say about 3.2/3.5m € per year and about 18m € to Liverpool. Bonuses could be part of the deal.

Your guys where on holidays so it took a little while to make the deal with your people + the Barry deal complicated things. My guess is that they are just waiting for a day to make it official. Could be tomorrow, next week or when Spain win or get eliminated from the Euro tournament.

I read we could get more news on this tomorrow.

I'm still playing back those wicked shots and sweet passes he made today. WOW!

Does anyone else find it annoying that we're meant to be competing with Inter in the coming season, but we have Ranieri and they have Mourinho?

Juve have the exact coach that booted out the door quicker than he can say 'tinker' the second Mourinho was available

Also, Lampard has been linked to Juve on and off for Ranieri's tenure, and now he's already in an Inter shirt practically. Plus, were getting Inter/Mourinho's rejects in Stankovic

Rocky

I'm still stupefied by the fact management is going after Stankovic. I mean way to insult the fan-base by buying an Inter reject. Why don't they just pull down their pants and **** on the Juve fans, because that's basically what they are doing. Secco, Blanc, they need to go. Some horrible dealings in the transfer market so far. Everyone besides Sissoko was a transfer blunder. God I miss Moggi.

Sometimes I fear Juve will be a structural midtable team in 5 years if they keep going on like this. Imagine the team without the old guard... :( I'm not very optimistic.

[EDIT] Time for a new thread? I'm prepared to do it again, but if anyone else wants to do it for a change...

Too bad we only got to 41 pages this season. Even in Serie B we got to 104. :( Hopefully we'll be in for a more exciting season.
