Yes, back where we belong. :D
RuiCosta_10 26-06-2007, 01:48:AM Guys, first of all, congrats for being back where you belong.
Second, looks like we are making all forces to have Fabrizio with us again, apparently, José Veiga (our football director) is in a reunion in Turin today, i just hope he doesn't go to Porto, anything else it's fine with me.
mark77 26-06-2007, 01:51:AM How much Benfica are willing to pay?
Awesome job, Jeroen! (Y)
Really good that Trezeguet extended his contract, hopefully Nedved won't retire and maybe we could make a couple more transfers.
RuiCosta_10 26-06-2007, 01:56:AM How much Benfica are willing to pay?
i don't know well, rumours say that Miccoli will serve as a trade with Luisão and you will give us 13M €.
Other rumours say Miccoli alone will cost about 5M, other (stupid) rumours say that we will buy Antunes (Portuguese young left-back) which you were supposedly interested in (don't believe that), and we will trade him with Miccoli and no cash involved... :S
In the next days there will be more news about this issue, one thing is sure tho, with the renewal of Trez, Miccoli space in Juve is decreasing.
mark77 26-06-2007, 02:05:AM 13m € + Miccoli for Luisão? no offense but ouch!!! :D
I hope we finalize the G. Milito deal.
other rumors about Miccoli is a swap deal for Barzagli and we give them 5m €.
JuventusForever 26-06-2007, 02:09:AM Great work Juventino.
Oh I've waited so long for this.
We're back.
Deisler 26-06-2007, 02:10:AM Where is that @ss IceBlue, now you are back in Serie A. :(
Rocky 26-06-2007, 02:15:AM Serie A, finally. @Deisler I don't think we'll see Iceblu for a while. We all know how much you miss him.
italianstyle87 26-06-2007, 02:53:AM Awesome job, Jeroen! (Y)
Really good that Trezeguet extended his contract, hopefully Nedved won't retire and maybe we could make a couple more transfers.

Nedved to play on
Monday 25 June, 2007
Juventus President Giovanni Cobolli Gigli is confident Pavel Nedved will play on for at least one more season.
“In my opinion, Nedved will play for at least one more year,” said the Bianconeri chief.
ShAnDo 26-06-2007, 04:47:AM Yay new thread!
Gotta be part of the first page :p
BayernBoz 26-06-2007, 06:25:AM Never thought I'd say this, but it feels right to have you guys back in the top flight.
And no, I'm not just saying that because you have Salihamidzic now.
Respek'.
Num Lock 26-06-2007, 07:02:AM finally, now go take from inter whats rightfully yours.
big al 26-06-2007, 07:16:AM Great job Juventino!
Yes, back where we belong. :D
congrats mates on beeing back , like juventino says its were you guys belong, and about transfers i think you guys still need at least 1 or 2 new CB's, milito could be a good choice as is barzagli, maybe chivu too, you guys need to get another DM too , gilberto silva i think could fit emerson and vieiras place like a glove, i dont like sissoko that much,.
I've read some Miccoli - Pepe swap rumours. With cash going to Porto as well I assume.
4ndr3i 26-06-2007, 11:23:AM Awesome job Juventino.. gr8 thread.
Nice to be back in Serie A.. here is were we belong.. but i don't really see us champions at the end of next year.. we must make some more quality transfers. Let's hope we will finally get Milito.
Trez extended his contract for 3 or 4 years?
italianstyle87 26-06-2007, 11:59:AM trez on to 2011
his contract was to expire in 2008
he's at juve for life, might end up as close to highest ever goalscorer too, if he keeps up his 20 goal per season average
djperthglory 26-06-2007, 05:33:PM oh and how sweet it feels!!!!!
Bast......A!
in my honest opinion we have a team that can challenge for the scudetto. i mean we have a few great signings and really i have soo much more respect for the way our new triade are doing things... the football world has started to respect juve again. and it is great to see...
who knows how many more signings theyll bring or if they will sell anyone... we should know soon.
I dont know whether you guys will agree, but instead of having separate Inter, Juve, Roma and Milan etc threads, why not just have one Serie A thread.
I dont think we have enough posters. And probably with just one thread, people would look into it more thus reviving interest in Serie A.
Look at the Milan thread, the Inter thread, the Roma thread, and more most periods before the last week, the Juve thread.
No one posts.
Of course, just a suggestion.
italianstyle87 26-06-2007, 06:25:PM that's not a bad point but i don't know if i'm willing to give up the juve thread
Rocky 26-06-2007, 06:32:PM I don't know the Juve thread is pretty active. Plus it would get messy discussing all the teams in one thread.
last seasons threads, Milan had about 4 regular posters, Juve had 6, Roma and Inter had about two!
Man Utd and Real threads had some 15-20 regular posters.
Look at the Milan thread now, its DEAD. but it still has about the same number of posts as the Juve thread which only had posts because of the promotion and transfer euphoria.
come on guys, Im getting extremely bored of these forums :(
we can have a Serie A thread in the main forum, not the crappy sub forum too :read:
Good job Juventino...it feels good to know that we are back in Serie A :-) Forza Juve!
mark77 26-06-2007, 07:02:PM @jani you can start a Serie A thread for the rest of you guys...we'll keep this one. ;)
I like it like it is. a Serie A thread should be done anyway and if you have questions about Juve you can post here like you alway do.
nah. im too lazy.
soon only Juve fans will post on these forums :(
I wouldn't give up our Juve thread...I know i don't post very often but when i do it is here where i do it.
Juve won't break bank for Milito
eurosport.com
Juventus have warned Real Zaragoza they will not break the bank to sign Argentina defender Gabriel Milito. The Turin outfit are battling with Real Madid and Barcelona to acquire the services of the 26-year-old.
"We are interested in him," said Juve president Giovanni Cobogli Gigli.
"But we have an economic limit and we don't intend to surpass it."
Milito joined Zaragoza in 2003 from Independiente shortly after a proposed transfer to Madrid fell through after he failed a medical.
He has also been strongly linked with Liverpool in recent times.
ShAnDo 27-06-2007, 08:01:PM Damn. That's bad.
Trez himself stated that he had offers from Manchester Utd, Liverpool and Barcelona. Don't know how much of that is true, but I know that there aren't many players that would turn down any of those offers.
Num Lock 28-06-2007, 01:31:AM Trez himself stated that he had offers from Manchester Utd, Liverpool and Barcelona. Don't know how much of that is true, but I know that there aren't many players that would turn down any of those offers.
i'd turn em down if i played for juve :), no really i'm just a fan but there are shirts i wouldn't say no if i was a pro football player, PSG of course, Arsenal, AC Milan and Juve
trez on to 2011
his contract was to expire in 2008
he's at juve for life, might end up as close to highest ever goalscorer too, if he keeps up his 20 goal per season average
I thought this was official?..wtf...is he really leaving?
italianstyle87 28-06-2007, 10:39:AM trezeguet extended his contract which was to end in 2008
the contract between trezeguet and juventus now expires in 2011
trezeguet is not leaving
Juventino 28-06-2007, 02:18:PM Nice job editing the transfers, mark. (Y) Those co-own and loandeals always fly a bit under the radar. It's all new for me. :p
Wow, didn't know we're linked with Deco. Wouldn't say no to someone like him. (Y)
mark77 28-06-2007, 03:33:PM We're not, I wanted to fill in the top 10. :p
lol...you are the transfer guru though (H)
Birmingham are apparently after Kapo. Heard he's had a pretty good season at Levante.
We would get around £2mil for him.
Kapo has been one of my favorite subs we used to have...it would be nice if he was given more playing time if possible...the guy has a lot of potential.
Had, he's 26 or so. He was a talent in 04-05 when he was 23 and had room on our bench.
I remember an assist of his for Del Piero (that back-heel goal) after dribbling between two players. Coming as a sub of course. :jap:
We're after Fernando Meira
djperthglory 29-06-2007, 03:48:AM hi guys,
ive just been reading up on palladino. i cant believe the italian media think we are gonna have to sell him after trezeguet confirms he is staying and after we sign vincenzo iaquinta....
i mean i know it is italian media, but if u think about it logically... yess they did sign on to lengthy deals but alex del piero wont be bianconero for much longer... i think if palladino is passionate about the colours and the shirt he would stay and potentially become the next alessandro del piero.... although thats very hard seen as alex is the son of juve!!!
on other transfer news cobolli gigli is clearly looking for the future. he has been reported as saying milito is a tough deal and that i dont think he has intentions on returning fabio cannavaro to juve saying that "we need to look for the future"
italianstyle87 29-06-2007, 04:04:AM Had, he's 26 or so. He was a talent in 04-05 when he was 23 and had room on our bench.

that was zalayeta not kapo
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jw3FdR7FLTM
first goal
I remember a very good assistance that he had one time...but it didn't end up in a back-heal goal....i think it was against Lazio
djperthglory 29-06-2007, 07:03:AM vitu i know which goal ur talking about
zebina threw the ball in and then kapo received the long throw... he slalomed around 2 lazio defenders... crossed the ball in to the box rebounded off a lazio defender and straight to ibra who volleyed in from just inside the 6 yard box...
it was during the 04/05 season
Yeah, it was Ibra the scorer, not Del Piero. Sorry about that.
Think I have it somewhere around here.
Juventino 29-06-2007, 03:45:PM Dj!!! where did the exclamation marks go!!! its weird to see you post without em!!!! :p
But good to see you back! ;)
The Australo-Macedonian Juventino is back (H). How have you been man?
mark77 29-06-2007, 08:19:PM Kapo to Birmingham City for about 4.5m €
Excellent deal IMO considering we got him for free.
JuventusForever 30-06-2007, 02:02:PM I actually think we should keep him, He can be a very useful substitute or even prove himself enough to be on the starting line up.
Imo we need one more striker, one more winger (Nedved won't play all games) and another defender. Can't wait for this long summer to end.. so much anticipation.
Didn't know Paro to Genoa was actually official. :O 2mil for 50% is pretty good I'd say.
Also you can see our new home jersey in the kits thread.
Kapo to Birmingham City for about 4.5m €
Excellent deal IMO considering we got him for free.
:(...good money though....:mrpimp:
Todays Gazzetta says Milito's €16m fee will be funded by the sales of Kapo, Miccoli, Boumsong and Marchionni.
italianstyle87 02-07-2007, 10:26:AM Todays Gazzetta says Milito's €16m fee will be funded by the sales of Kapo, Miccoli, Boumsong and Marchionni.
i can't see why juve would need this funding ontop of the huge transfer kitty unless there is another huge signing on the way
kapo and miccoli will go....but boumsong just said he wants to stay, and marchionni is pretty handy
JuventusForever 02-07-2007, 11:46:AM I really don't see why we're supposedly selling all of our young talent like Marchionni and Palladino. If Camo and one of our strikers will get injured then what?
then you play Iaquinta (H)
I really don't see why we're supposedly selling all of our young talent like Marchionni and Palladino. If Camo and one of our strikers will get injured then what?
They are both very good prospects. Palladino would hurt the most though :S
mark77 04-07-2007, 01:24:AM Juve lineup so far:
Buffon
Zebina-Grygera-Criscito-Chiellini
Camoranesi-Almiron-Tiago-Nedved
Trezeguet-Del Piero
Belardi
Birindelli-Legrottaglie-Boumsong-Molinaro
Salihamidzic-Zanetti-Marchisio-Marchionni
Iaquinta-Palladino.
Trini, Piccolo, Giannichedda, Nocerino, Zalayeta.
___________________________
I see Legrottaglie, Birindelli, Piccolo, Giannichedda and Zalayeta being sold and Nocerino on loan.
It's clear we need at least one other CB, if not Milito then Pepe, Andrade.
There could be a late surprise transfer in August.
Hey Mark, is Blasi training with us right now? Is he back from the loan?
Also, would you want another player over Zebina to start? If so, then who?
mark77 04-07-2007, 01:30:AM I'm fine with Zebina/Grygera on D.
Yeah, I forgot to put Blasi and I guess some players back from loan but i'd try to get some $$$ for him.
Mikey 04-07-2007, 02:05:AM Juve looks very mediocre. A central midfield of Tiago-Almiron is hardly of Juve's quality.
How Juve is handling the Milito situation is embarassing from such a top club. Fernando Torres just went for 25M, D.Bent for 17M, and Juve cant pay the extra 2M Zaragoza wants to land one of the best centre back in th world, whos also relatively young. Shame on them, Im tired of Italian clubs losing out on their targets to Spanish and English sides. Zaragoza dont HAVE to sell Milito, and for the price lesser players are going for these days, they are in their right to get value for him.
Juve have a huge transfer budget, and so far theyve only bought B rated players, and are not in hunt for any of the top players available. Ranieri is happy with his midfield? Tiago and Almiron would be subs at Inter, Roma and Milan. Nedved is class,,, but hes getting on in years. Del Piero is a sub at this stage, and Iaquinta doesnt score enough to be a starter. They should sign Quagliarella (in exchange for Palladino plus cash). His value is only gonna go up. I think they could probably get Zambrotta for less than they sold him for, so I think they should jump at signing him, as hes not first choice at Barca, and they just picked up Abidal. If they made these changes, or at least the equivalent, theyd be instant contenders for at least 3rd place with Roma. If they wanna maybe do a little damage though, they'll need another top midfielder. Unfortunately all the top midfielders available will be bought by the big four from England and top 2 from Spain.
I also dont like that Juve arent really buying any Italian players, are they turning into another Inter? Right now only Chiellini, Camoranesi and Buffon are the guarenteed Italian starters.
Salihamidzic has been Juve's best pickup this summer, and he was free.
mark77 04-07-2007, 02:55:AM Tiago is very underrated, he will prove to be a very good signing. He helps in the defensive part and can score some goals but he's Portuguese so you don't like him. :p
Almiron is a poor version of Veron and I really hope he can step itup.
Italians? Who do you want us to buy? Barzagli? The guy was a total failure last year with Palermo. If you put a top D next to him and get him for cheap then he could turn out ok.
We can't buy players like De Rossi, Aquilani, Montolivo...Those teams won't sell the to us because we'll compete for a CL spot with them.
I'd go for Canini, Motta...hell, we have a lot if you look at the Primavera gems and U-20/u-21 squad.
Giovinco, Lanzafame, Maniero, Cuneaz, Nocerino, Criscito...will play with Juve in the future.
As for the Milito saga...Juve know that Barca and Real are going for Chivu and Zaragoza will be forced to sell him for about 16-18m. Roma are asking for less the that.
Juve have a pre-contract or something with Milito. The Real and Barca rumors were just Zaragoza tactics at the time to get more $$$ from us. If they really want him they'll have to talk to us.
I wouldn't mind having Zambrotta back :$...what do you guys think?
Socrates 04-07-2007, 06:40:AM A little update on the Milito thing in case you guys have not heard or read about it, Zaragoza have denied your 18 million euro offer for him and are demanding anyone that wants him to fork out 25 million euros. With Barca losing out on Chivu it looks like they are going to turn their attention to him.
zlojack 04-07-2007, 06:43:AM Zambrotta is a starter for Barca on the right side. Abidal plays on the left.

still have zanetti, giannichedda and blasi around
but the transfer season isn't over yet
tiago has a very good defensive side to his game...
smoove 04-07-2007, 06:52:PM Salihamidzic has been Juve's best pickup this summer, and he was free.
(N) you don't even know how bad of a player he is.
Zlatan 04-07-2007, 06:59:PM With Ranieri at the helm, Juve is going to do sh*t all this season.

I would say Tiago's defensive skills are just about a little bit better than Pirlo's.
RuiCosta_10 05-07-2007, 05:39:PM Fabrizio Miccoli just signed with Palermo, Benfica wasn't able to do a better proposal than them (we recently spend 9M on Oscar "Tacuara" Cardozo)...
I'm really sad, i still had the hope i could see him with us again, i wish him the very best, and Palermo just got a new supporter.
Thank you for everything Fabrizio!

4.3m € :(
It also says 2.3m € for Kapo when Birmingham's site said 4.5m € last week. I guess they counted the wages or something.
that sucks...why would the wage change? :S...did you guys ever like Miccoli at Juve? I never did.
italianstyle87 06-07-2007, 11:33:AM that sucks...why would the wage change? :S...did you guys ever like Miccoli at Juve? I never did.
he would be very handy with the current forward options
He was very good at Benfica...He scored some goals for us but I guess he didn't get enough playing time.
RuiCosta_10 06-07-2007, 10:08:PM Problem with Fabrizio is that he's very inconsistent...
And he also doesn't seem the kind of guy that works on trainings, therefore he's not on the best shape in some games, but man, properly motivated he's just brilliant, easy and strong shot, great technique and explosive, also very intelligent in his moves...
The reason that we (Benfica fans) liked him so much, besides his quality as a player, it's because of the empathy he created with the fans, always smiling, always spectacular on field, always very irreverent, and wouldn't be lying if i said he's the best striker we had in the past decade.

Jorge Andrade to Juve. Deal with depor, player will fly to Turin soon. I hope it's for less than 10m € so we could buy another CB and that he's injury free and back in shape.
Welcome to another Portuguese player at Juve. :p
Andrade is a beast, it's awesome to have him. (Y)
BoumBoum anyone? :(
Juventino 06-07-2007, 10:49:PM So we can forget about Milito? :(:(
Andrade is cool, but I'm not so thrilled if he's going to be our number 1 defender. He is better than what we have now, obviously, but we REALLY need another defender. Cannavaro...? :wootman:

Juventino 10-07-2007, 10:37:PM Andrade and Tiago can be huge for Juve the next couple of years (Y)

Oh, and Camoranesi extended his contract until 2010! Great news!
mark77 10-07-2007, 10:42:PM vanstrattan was a GK we bought and loaned to Verona ages ago. I thought we lost him or something. I guess we got him back for free...boh!

Juve block Nocerino exit
Thursday 12 July, 2007
-----------------------------
Fiorentina and Napoli target Antonio Nocerino will not leave Juventus this summer, sporting director Alessio Secco has confirmed.
The Azzurrini star recently signed a three-year contract with the Old Lady after spending last season at Piacenza in a co-ownership deal, but seemed on the verge of a Viola move this week.
However, Secco has insisted on Thursday that the combative central midfielder will be at Claudio Ranieri’s disposal next term.
“Nocerino will stay here at Juventus and will join the rest of the squad for pre-season training in Pinzolo,” noted the Bianconeri official [pictured].
The midfielder, who was born in Naples and was heavily linked with a San Paolo switch, recently admitted that he was eager to be granted continuous playing time during next season.
“My target is the 2010 World Cup in South Africa,” noted the youngster when asked about his future.
“In order to reach that objective I need to play with continuity and Juventus are doing all they can to help me.
"Piacenza was a springboard, now I need to prove myself in the football that really counts.”
Despite this morning’s developments, whispers in Turin suggest that Nocerino may still move on before the window closes with Udinese said to be another possible destination.
--------------------------
Secco better stick to that promise. :rockman:

juventina5 14-07-2007, 04:43:PM ok but do we need him? i think we need to stop worrying about strikers right now because we have a lot what we need is a stronger defence..

And Zalayeta still won't leave?
Juventino 15-07-2007, 04:32:PM Zalayeta and Olivera just haven't found new teams yet. Kapo is already sold to Birmingham.
Here's a picture of the new home jersey! Finally...
http://xs217.xs.to/xs217/07280/nikecatalouge.jpg
Looks pretty decent to me.
the red font looks pretty good imo.
Way better than what people were making it up to be, with red collars and all the stuff. I still prefer the yellow fonts, red just looks plain wrong there, but the kit is decent.
Juventino 15-07-2007, 05:27:PM Yeah, at least the Nike swoosh is yellow again. I don't think it would look pretty in red and the New Holland logo...
In the pre-season matches they'll wear an all-white jersey, which was presented today.

The regular jerseys won't be presented until august 22nd...
JuventusForever 15-07-2007, 08:04:PM Canna and Bojinov are on the market again. Hope one of them lands back here...
Kits are good, though the red annoys me a bit, Yellow always fitted well with the Bianconeri so why change? Last years kits were stunning, waiting for the price drops to get one.
I wouldn't say no to Bojinov honestly, especially if Zalayeta does go to Livorno. Maybe Ranieri would be the right coach for him.
Trezeguet: “We want to win the League”
Juventus is showing its aces. After Pavel Nedved, it's David Trezeguet's turn to show up in Pinzolo's press room. And the Frenchman's words - reiterating convictions already aired during the public presentation the night before - are those that every Juventus fan hoped to hear: “We have all we need to aim for victory in the League and reclaim what was taken away from us”.
'Trezegol' has stayed at Juventus for this purpose too. His first thought is for the 30 days that have passed between the end of the championship and the beginning of the camp.
Desire to stay: “My idea has always been to stay here at Juventus. That's why I'm happy to have agreed the terms of my contract renewal with the club. Before going on holiday I'd made myself clear. After the year in Serie B, the trickiest year in the club's history, I'd said I wanted to stay and play in a team able to compete at the very top and in this sense my wishes have been met. I have given a great deal for these colours and I want to continue doing so”.
Team mates and supporters: “I've also been pleased with the faith that everyone has shown in me: not only the club's management, but my team mates and the supporters too. It's true, I had some offers, but there aren't many clubs around as big as this one. My intention was to stay and I never planned to get to the end of the contract and then leave”.
Ranieri's contribution: “The Manager has been vital in my decision to stay: he called me and told me that he believed in me and this was a sign of his belief in me”.
Remarkable statistics: “I love statistics and I think 140 goals are not to be scoffed at. It isn't easy, particularly for a foreigner, you always have to show something extra”.
Records to improve: “I want to improve my records even more. I need 5 matches to reach 100 games in Serie A, 10 to reach 150 overall and in the four years of my new contract I can aim for 200”.
Working for the collective: “I'm starting this season with great motivations, to continue giving my best and I can still win a lot with this team. We have a large, high-quality squad and we really want to reclaim what was taken away from us”.
Enthusiasm: “It'll be our secret weapon. After what happened last year, we're even more willing to get back to the top. They took two League titles away from us after we'd clearly shown we were the best on the pitch”.
A competitive team: “We're training well here. Some of us have known each other longer, others have just arrived. What is certain is that we're a quality team and this is important in terms of our future”.
Winning the league? Why not: “We're Juventus, we have a lot of great players and a strong club organization. We can do very well, even win the title. We can definitely fight for it ‘til the end”.
The new arrivals: “They're very eager and they've realized they're at a club where ending in second place has no value. Everybody wants to join in and communicate with their team mates. They were immediately surprised to see so many people with so much enthusiasm”.
Andrade: “He has proven his worth. I think he'll do well, I can see he's very motivated. He's definitely an asset for us”.
Almiron: “He has Argentinean blood, like me; he's a down-to-earth kid. He has the right attributes to do well”.
Iaquinta: “He's already proven how good he is at Udinese, now he has the chance to play for a big club. We haven't tried out tactically yet, but he has the right qualities to play alongside me”.
Tactics: “I haven't spoken with the Manager about tactics yet. From what I've seen, he favours a fast, passing game, with the ball always kept on the ground. We can't as yet say we have anything resembling a real playing style. Everybody in the staff is excited and we all want to do well. We'll give everything we've got to win. Our weapons will be determination, heart and our desire to win”.
The rivals: “Inter Milan and AC Milan have teams that have been playing together longer. We've changed many players and that’s why we have to work hard. We'll be ready when it counts. We want to play in front of sold-out crowds again”.
italianstyle87 16-07-2007, 04:55:AM Mission: Get Canna
I like the new shirt...the red font does look odd though :S...I've always liked Bojinov and I would like to see Canna come back :$

Im waiting on the same thing...last year's was one of the best in my opinion (H)
juventina5 16-07-2007, 05:26:PM Mission: Get Canna
yupp i agree if we dont get him now we probably never will. shuster doesnt want him anymore so they probably would drop his price tag slightly. but even if they dont we can still afford him. i really think it would be smart to get him back
no thanks. he said he wouldn't leave us and he eventually did. plus he's too old for the new Juve.
mark77 16-07-2007, 09:58:PM From different sources it's either Canna or Meira. ATM the latter is the closest to join us.

I guess it depends on the price since he's getting old
Mikey 16-07-2007, 11:27:PM From different sources it's either Canna or Meira. ATM the latter is the closest to join us.

wtf happened to the italian juve that we talk about?? im sorry but i dont really feel like turing into the portugese version of inter...italians are what i want on juventus as we are an ITALIAN team. no ***kin way seriously it kills me what inter does and i hate it so my team is not going to turn into that. italy has sooo much talent to offer and yet soo many italian teams look abroad but whatever i dont make the decisions. hopefully we get canna and barzagli because
a) they are both ITALIAN
b) they are both world class players
JuventusForever 17-07-2007, 12:18:AM C'mon, Juve will always have the strong Italian base. Besides, don't forget we just got promoted... and it seems like this year will be a year of giants, so we need all the help we can get.
Hendrik 17-07-2007, 12:26:AM From different sources it's either Canna or Meira. ATM the latter is the closest to join us.
In that case you should better focus on getting Cannavaro as he'd be way cheaper than Meira. You won't get the latter for the same money as Andrade.

he was only joking.
Juventus star Giorgio Chiellini has been linked with a move to England, amid concerns he has about his future with the Old Lady.
New Juve boss Claudio Ranieri has been busy preparing his new team ahead of the Serie A season, which has seen a number of new players already arrive in Turin.
The coming and goings at Turin have now led to Chiellini to consider whether he may be surplus to requirements and Liverpool have already been tipped to make a move for the 22-year-old left sider.
"No one has called me or tried to contact me," said Chiellini.
"They have focused on renewing the contracts of the important players and this is logical.
"However, they haven't considered the players who gave their all to bring the team back to the First Division.
"I believe I might risk playing only 30 per cent of next year's matches and I cannot agree to this.
"I have plenty of opportunities, but I only hope someone will call me to explain what the plan is. Unfortunately no one has done this so far."

pssh whatever today was stressfull and then this it was almost too much to handle so my sense of humour is non-existent. all this transfer crap is really dragged out mann...just get cannavaro its easier for the simple reason that hes on the market and wants to come back to italy so pick him up before anyone else (aka inter) do. if we get canna back i really think we could guarentee at least a CL spot if not the scudetto
Tiago_10 17-07-2007, 01:02:AM This is what I don't get. How come you want a player that let you down when you really needed him?

not a fan of Barzagli.

I guess you saw him more than I so how good is he?
This is what I don't get. How come you want a player that let you down when you really needed him?
If Canna would come for cheap, cut his wages and crawl back on his knees apologizing for what he did the I'd probably take him back but it wouldn't be the same as before. I'd pay the extra 5m or something to get Meira or another D that's not in the later stages of his career.
Meira would at least know how to communicate with his partner in defense and the main man in midfield. That's very important.
juventina5 17-07-2007, 01:55:AM This is what I don't get. How come you want a player that let you down when you really needed him?
i understand that he left and trust me i am just as mad about it as the next person but you see i have learned that forgivness is key especially b/c its canna and he is a world class player. plus he went to real madrid and i mean it isnt like when ibra went to inter that was just...well i wont even go there because if i do it will just upset me. canna is cheap so buy him. the fans will boo him for a bit and then let it go. plus this way we can go around saying "well look who came crawling back...." he made a mistake in his career and we must forgive him because at least he has the sense of coming back and if he does then im sure the fans will demand a public apology. i actually read that he was forced to leave because the club needed to seel him because they needed money. and the players (adp, buffon, etc) have all said that the door is always open to him which shows they have forgiven him and so why shouldnt we?.....god i sound sooo catholic......
the mistake was when he first joined Inter. anyway if we get him I hope he'll come for really cheap.
juventina5 17-07-2007, 03:18:PM the mistake was when he first joined Inter. anyway if we get him I hope he'll come for really cheap.
when anyone joins inter its a mistake because you have to remember at inter you only play if you arent italian:) why do you think they sold grosso? they are trying to offload all their italian players... well apparently real have put him on the market so if thats the case then he probably would come cheap
I would have loved to see Juve sign Grosso :(
JuventusForever 18-07-2007, 02:02:PM Bah what's this stupid beef with Chiellini and Ranieri... we can't lose Chiellini over such stupidity.
juventina5 18-07-2007, 05:48:PM does anyone know where i can read/watch a live match thing of juves friendly today?

ShAnDo 19-07-2007, 04:46:PM why did juve sell Mutu? Ive never understood that one.
Because Juve sucks at transfers..:S
I was pretty stupid indeed...I hate remembering and thinking about it :-puke:
Mikey 19-07-2007, 10:35:PM I just dont get the thinking in it, sure Juve were about to be punished with calciopoli,,, but the other top players who left all went to similarly big clubs, whereas Mutu went to a lesser club who were also involved in scandal.
Mutu-Trezeguet wouldve been a top class duo up front this season ;)
Mutu-Trezeguet wouldve been a top class duo up front this season ;)
:(
It was Mutu's choice, he gave interviews to the romanian press saying that he'll stay at Juve no matter what the outcome, though...
Juventino 20-07-2007, 06:34:PM Castillo makes Juve claim
Friday 20 July, 2007
-----------------------
Red Star Belgrade midfielder Segundo Castillo has unexpectedly announced that he will be playing for Juventus next term.
The Ecuador international’s comments were made to the Serbian Press and came completely out of the blue as the 25-year-old has never been linked wih the Old Lady.
“I will be playing for Juventus next season,” he is quoted as a saying. “Next Wednesday I will be signing a four-year deal with the Bianconeri.”
Castillo impressed at Red Star last season as he hit eight goals and helped them secure the Meridian Superliga title.
He is set to return from Venezuela this weekend having been in Ecuador’s squad for their First Round Copa America dismissal.
------------------------
Wow, I've honestly never heard of him :$ Can anyone tell us who have no clue a bit more about him? I do see he futured for Ecuador at the World Cup.
mark77 20-07-2007, 06:56:PM He's a defensive mid, we have plenty of that. Maybe it's just him saying that to get some publicity. I don't see the need for this since it will take the spot of a youngster.
I have never heard about that guy...I'm hoping that isn't true.

we still have 11 midfielders, and we'll have to get send a few aways, blasi and olivera for sure, and marchisio on loan.
he needs to play as a regular and on our packed midfield, i dont see a chance this season.
oh and, Im back! :ewan:

you are one lucky bastard! :D....it's good to have you back man
mark77 24-07-2007, 03:48:PM well look who's back.
anyway...Piccolo(co-own) and Marchisio(loan) to Empoli.
There wasn't much space for Marchsio with Tiago, Almiron, Zanetti and the player that impressed Ranieiri...Nocerino.
Marchisio will play in Europe also and with Giovinco so that a plus for Juve.
Legrottaglie close to Besiktas.
Juventino 24-07-2007, 10:47:PM The OUT list is growing and growing... I missed half of those co-own and loan deals. :p Nice job keeping it up to date, mark.

italianstyle87 25-07-2007, 11:05:AM 10million pounds for Blasi and Chiellini from Man City? i'd take it
JuventusForever 25-07-2007, 11:10:AM I wouldn't.. Chiellini is a promising defender and we should try and keep him.
Blasi can go so can Olivera and Zalayeta.

he might be promising but he's a whining piece of ****
mark77 25-07-2007, 03:13:PM I say give us 14m € for Chiellini and 5m for Blasi and they're yours. Chiellini is not for sale for me so if they really want him then pay up good.
mark77 25-07-2007, 03:17:PM Giannichedda(Udinese, Livorno, Lazio), Legrottaglie(Besiktas), Olivera and possibly Zalayeta are the next to go so when our club say the mercato is over they are lying.

Italiano
here, thats what i came up with
so you think you lost your skills?...wtf man!!...I like the banner! :D
Italiano
Will it work if I write in English?...I don't know how to write in Italian :S
Juventino 27-07-2007, 12:55:PM Yeah, I don't see why not. English is easy enough to understand.
ShearerM4 27-07-2007, 01:03:PM 'ello gentlemen...
Do you guys have any idea of the team Juve might be putting out at St James' Park on Sunday??
no, but hopefully Boumsong remains in Newcastle afterwards.
ShearerM4 27-07-2007, 01:21:PM Really? :S
I guess I know exactly what you mean though :funny:
Juve will lose to the super Albert Luque.
juventina5 27-07-2007, 03:11:PM yeah i say we leave boumsong there...we could somehow get him to miss his flight back to italy but make it look like an accident...adoring fans perhaps? no thats not realistic oh well anyway hopefully juve will beat newcastle and make it look convincing. anyone know if chiellini is signing with man city for sure because if he does i want a good amount of money for him...i really dont think we should sell him becaus ehe is a promising young player.
mark77 27-07-2007, 03:21:PM for 14m € we'll sell Chiellini. 4-5 for Blasi.
Boumsong ain't that bad...made a couple of mistakes last year but did a pretty good job. Well' it was Serie B though.
Mikey 28-07-2007, 06:23:PM I bet most of you bashing Boumsong never even saw him play last season and are completely basing your opinion on his reputation.
I dont like this current trend of Italian football, we seem to be even with the French league this days in terms of transfer activity. Our league seems to be selling a lot more stars away than bringing stars in. I can accept when foreign players are shipped off, as it could benefit the homegrown players,, but now Italian players are being sent away. Why is Juve selling Chiellini, the best young full back and captain of U21 team?
Ranieri is gonna build an all foreign team like he did at Chelsea. Bad for the game, considering Juve are still the face of calcio (N)

EDIT: 3000 posts (and look at this one (H))
Yossarian 28-07-2007, 06:45:PM Nationalistic sentiment and rhetoric should be completely removed from club football imo.
But I agree, that Chiellini deal is a WTF of a move both for team and player. The dude's a ******* gem in the truest sense and he's going to a defensively primitive/retarded league....and the club......7million pounds for such an immense talent?
There has to be some ulterior motive of some sort for this deal other than money, man.
He has to be not well liked for them to be just dumpin 'em like this.
mark77 28-07-2007, 06:49:PM I personally think Criscito will turn out to be a better Cb than him and Molinaro a better LB if he's not already.
Giorgio is a leader but is almost worse than Balzaretti in the crossing department. He can still improve, is versatile and doesn't give up so I would keep him unless we can get more than 12m €.
Yossarian 28-07-2007, 07:22:PM oh....I thought that he was already sold ....my bad.
I'm not at all familiar with the young'uns that you name, but I'll definitely take yer word for it since you know yer ****, bro.
Truthfully, I don't remember much about Chiellini's crossing abilities, but I do remember him being an exceptionally strong and fast defender who went out of his way to cover every inch of the pitch a la Gattusso, you know? A total stamina machine who'd cover one end of the pitch to the other and who was very aggressive and deft in his tackling. Very exciting and dynamic, you know? Easily convertible to a DM.
Of course, most players are gonna end up lookin like a caveman in terms of overall skill when being asked to fill the shoes of someone like Zambro, but at the same time, I don't think that Chiellini is as expendable and insignificant as you make 'em out to be in that post above.
mark77 28-07-2007, 07:41:PM and he does score a goal or 2 during the year but I have to find the negative side of his play if we indeed sell him. It's just natural.
Molinaro will be a very good left back. I prefer Criscito as a CB, he was the best D in the Serie B last year and he's like 21. Yeah it's Serie B but you can see the quality.
In Inter's case, wouldn't you have kept Grosso?
In Inter's case, wouldn't you have kept Grosso?
In a heart beat...Grosso is class
Yossarian 29-07-2007, 12:39:AM In Inter's case, wouldn't you have kept Grosso?
hmm....than to have had Chiellini? I'd take the latter a hundred times out of a hundred. I'm sorry, man, but I'm just not down on this kid as you guys in Juveland are. I feel that with some support in the confidence department and consistent playing time, he can easily recover his 04/05 form and go onto fulfill his tremendous potential.
Grosso? Don't get me wrong, I think that he's a serviceable player still and I've considered 'em as a quality player as far back as his Perugia days, but I feel that his best days are behind em. People still hold em in this lofty esteem because he's still sparkling from his WC heroics, but truthfully, at Inter, he was average. Now expecting him to retain his brilliance from the cup would be too demanding, but he just couldn't recapture even half of that, man.
He is a worldclass deadball specialist....I'll miss that, but in the same breath, he is a very attackminded fullback who doesn't have the athletic ability to compensate for his venturous runs up the flanks.....that's like the worst deficiency and imbalance a player of his position can have, man. Atleast with Chiellini, if he happens to ****up on a tear up the flanks and has the ball taken away from em or he makes an errant pass, he's got the physical gifts to make good on his ****ups.....grosso doesn't.
I truly feel that he could've been a worldclass midfielder or even a striker if his parents had dealt 'em better cards in the genetics department. Because he's got the creative mind and awareness of a worldclass midfielder and the deftly technique of a clinical finisher........anyway, good luck to em. He seemed like a really good human, a good character guy for the locker-room......solving our LB woes is a never ending battle....we're used to it and sort of accept it, man.
EDIT:.....a quick counter question for you, brah.....would you have traded a 2004 Chiellini for a 2004 Grosso? Way before his legendary WC performance?
mark77 29-07-2007, 01:32:AM In 04 I think Chiellini was loaned to Fiorentina and he did very well. Just like Molinaro did with Siena last year. Grosso started with Palermo and he was ok because he scored some goals but I didn't really pay much attention to him so I guess I would have and still would chose Chiellini over him.
Don't get me wrong on Giorgio, I like his grit, versatility and leadership but if we lose him and get 12m €+ it wouldn't be the end of the world because we have players than can do the job back there.
The only thing I don't like is that he's not a very good crosser unlike Pasqual for example.

2 friendlies and 2 clean sheets... although if im not wrong dont we play newcastle in around 9 hrs time? that will be a test. it will be our first mini european match since 2005/06 so im really hoping for positive outcome!
we have a great squad and well macini seems to think that the only team that could stop him from going 3 straight is the bianconeri. i just cant wait for season 07/08 to begin with matchday 1 in the serie a

Nahh that stopped 2 seasons ago. (H)
Juve will lose to the super Albert Luque.
(H)
mark77 30-07-2007, 06:41:PM Played a good game yesterday(0-2). Newcastle was clearly in better form. 1st goal wasn't a pk but it's just some friendlies so I won't complain. Iaquinta missed a million chances and Almiron looked like the best Veron. Molinaro didn't have a good game. 1st "big" game for him so I'll give him a chance. Andrade was the only one good on D. I expect more from Tiago.
ShearerM4 30-07-2007, 06:48:PM 1st goal wasn't a pk but it's just some friendlies so I won't complain.
I honestly can't make my mind up on that. My initial reaction was that it wasn't a pen... I've looked at the replay many times now, and Milner clearly trips in that rugby style one leg getting trapped behind the other, BUT is it Zebina who causes it, or does Milner go down on his own? Can't tell.
Oh well at least it didnt really matter that much I guess.
Yossarian 30-07-2007, 07:01:PM Zebina was involved in this incident? GUILTY!!!!
That's enough for me to condemn 'em and find him blameworthy of the situation, man.
That blundering Cocksucker.........GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
*vanishes into a burst of green smoke and flames*
mark77 30-07-2007, 07:03:PM England wants Gigi's head after he took out Carroll. I'd want Alena Seredova instead. :p
Was it really that brutal? I guess it's the media over there getting excited.

i've been watching buffon for years now, and it's not in his nature to hurt anyone
it was poor choice by buffon and hence a very bad challenge, but there is no reason to hold anything against him

yeah that was rough, I've seen much worse but like style said, he's not a player that does these kind of things. The media shouldn't have made a tragedy out of it.

CAN'T FREAKIN' WAIT for it to start. It feels like the pre-season has been going on ever since we played in Serie B with all the rumours.
mark77 01-08-2007, 01:27:AM Finally the freakin' schedule.
Now we just need the presentation of the new kits.
expect another defeat and by at least 3-4 goals tomorrow vs Hamburg.
This could be the formation:(Chiellini in doubt, little "injury").
Belardi
Birindelli-Legrottaglie-Criscito-Chiellini(Molinaro)
Blasi-Nocerino-Zanetti-Salihamidzic
Palladino-Del Piero
:|
- no keeper
- Birindelli not even worthy of Serie C
- Legro
- Blasi
- no real striker in front
I hope Chiellini at least stays in Italy. Freaking disaster for Serie A if he goes, especially to a club like Man City (with all due respect to rony :D).
I imagine if he goes, Juve will buy him back in around 2010 when Marcelo Lippi is in charge of Juventus after 3 consecutive trophy-less years under Claudio Ranieri :(
mark77 01-08-2007, 02:02:AM There's a Milan thread you know?

juventina5 02-08-2007, 12:12:AM del piero is going to be a fathre!! his wife is pregnant they just announced it today or yesterday. anyway a little ale running around..should be interesting!
Mikey 04-08-2007, 03:24:AM Is Juve gonna buy any more forwards or are they satisfied with the current 5? Itd be nice to see a guy like Palladino getting some chances, but if Trez goes down itll be a disaster.
Did Juve come to their senses and decide to keep Chiellini?
Rocky 04-08-2007, 04:10:AM Secco said Chiellini is staying put.
mark77 04-08-2007, 04:27:AM If Trez goes down with the flu we are f*cked. I would prefer if Iaquinta and Palladino didn't miss 9 times out of 10. ok I might be exaggerating but we really need a guy that needs 1 or 2 chances and puts it in the net. Zalayeta ain't it either.
This might sound crazy but for a short term solution(1 year) I'd sign Riganò on a free and have him as backup and replace Zalayeta.
I thought Zalayeta would be gone this summer? :S....Suazo would have been a good addition:$...dam Inter!!! :f***:
JuventusForever 04-08-2007, 12:05:PM I'd rather have a primavera striker instead of Zalayeta... and I'm not a Iaquinta fan too, so with a month left for the transfer window we are left with Trez, Del Piero and Palladino. If one of the three gets injured were basically F*cked.

Molinaro saves the day (http://www.juventus.com/uk/news/detail.aspx?lml_language_id=0&trs_id=1607000&ID=11912)
Thanks to a great Cristian Molinaro goal, Juventus were able to draw their third and last friendly on their tour of England and Germany. The final result was 1-1. The home side went one up with Murphy after 8 minutes, and the Salerno defender equalized in the dying minutes of the match. The team will return to Turin this evening and will begin training again in Vinovo on Tuesday.
The first minutes of the game saw the home side dominating. After 8 minutes, Buffon had to make two incredible saves on McShane and Chopra, but he was helpless against Murphy's close-range tap-in. Juventus went close to scoring for the rest of the half, but the opponents' keeper Fulop was sensational, making at least three decisive saves, in particular a spectacular one on Trezeguet, when he deflected the ball on the crossbar. Salihamidzic, Nedved, Iaquinta and Almiron all tried their luck with shots at goal too, but to no avail. At the end of the half it was still 1-0.
Ranieri changed four players at the start of the second half: Belardi came on for Buffon, Birindelli for Zebina, Molinaro for Grygera and Del Piero for Salihamidzic. Chiellini switched to centre-half and Juve played with three upfront. Other players would also come on as the match progressed: Nocerino, Zanetti, Criscito and Palladino. The Bianconeri came close to scoring especially in the first few minutes, with Del Piero immediately inspired and on the ball. A free kick by the captain was saved well by Ward, who'd taken Fulop’s place in goal. There were several chances, with Iaquinta and Nocerino in particular very lively and always in the thick of the action, but the score didn't change until the 43rd minute, when Del Piero gave a superb ball to Molinaro, who came from behind and scored with a great volley in the top of the net. The end result was 1-1, thanks also to the post saving Belardi on a strike by Stokes. Three defeats (after the ones in Newcastle and Hamburg, which were not entirely deserved) would just not have been right.

how come Nedved wore the captain badge and not Del Piero?

mark77 07-08-2007, 08:24:PM Buffon, Nedved, Camoranesi, Grygera and Marchionni will be out of the Moretti Trophy tomorrow vs Napoli and Inter.
Marchionni out for 3 months. :(
claupastore 07-08-2007, 08:43:PM the centrals will be andrade and chiellini, lets see what they are capable of in front of ibra and suazo
mark77 07-08-2007, 08:45:PM I wish it would be Andrade/Criscito and Chiellini on the left.
claupastore 07-08-2007, 09:23:PM if criscito plays on the left, they'll be swapping positions through the game. so, either way i think its the same thing.
and after one year of watching my juve play on saturdays, the first match of the season its gonna be saturday 25th :s***:
is goltv going to broadcast the games by chance?
juventina5 07-08-2007, 10:43:PM i dunno but in canada TLN broadcast the games. if you wanna find out just email goltv and they should be able to tell you.
Mikey 07-08-2007, 11:21:PM Juve's defence looked horrible in Sunderland game.
Iaquinta looked pretty lively, and Trez missed a sitter. If they remain as is, theyll finish no higher than 4th place this season,, if they can beat out Fiorentina. Still, pretty decent for a club who basically had to reset itself a year ago.
There was even a vintage Del Piero moment. And by that i mean, DP was given the ball in prime location to score,, hesitated for 10 minutes and then tried to dribble his way back into the play and of course put it wide (Y)
If they can get Cannavaro for cheap,,, they should. Andrade would benefit from playing with a proven champion, and hes a pretty decent upgrade over the likes of Boumsong/Zebina
