Saying that though I have always thought that Robinho should be as good as Ronaldo, just doesn't seem to either play enough or play well enough when given his chance, whether this is down to the coach or the player I am currently undecided. Thats not to say he is a bad player just that I always expect more from him KingPaulV 20-04-2008, 06:01:PM tough tough game coming up.....I would be happy with a draw to be honest, if we win, and then we beat Athletic next week we are the champs.... KingPaulV 20-04-2008, 07:36:PM man gago sucks sometimes...its really frustrating Arnau 20-04-2008, 07:44:PM gago sucks always. congratulations for the liga KingPaulV 20-04-2008, 07:52:PM Pipita!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Campeones!!! Campeones!!!!!!!! Yes!!!! edit: ok I got carried away is cause i saw the boys celebrating and stuff...but actually we still need to win next week and for you guys and villareal to lose, then if that's the case we would be champions officially....but in all honesty I dont think we're letting this one go.... Good game against Racing a great team, we did what we had to do and won. reminds me of the game against Athletic Bilbao game earlier in the season bybuti 20-04-2008, 07:54:PM Congratulations! Jaouadinho 21-04-2008, 10:47:AM Congratulations! for what we arn't champions yet. anyway on the game everyone was exceptional except for maybe robben and robinho drifted in and out of the game, and robben really needs to know when to release the ball, too selfish at times. but everyone else was great, diarra was a rock hes starting to come back to fom, and sniejder had a monster of a game every thing went through him and some great running as well. the defense was solid, a bit shaky at times on setpieces but thats one of racings strong points, i guess schuster might have a point when he says they are the best defense in the world and they certainley looked like it. Arnau 21-04-2008, 11:28:AM for what we arn't champions yet. xDDDDDDDDD. tim5303 21-04-2008, 12:21:PM If we can't win the championship with a ten point lead with five games to go we deserve to be relegated rather than anything else. Thankfully I can't see us dropping five points even if Villareal and Barca win all of their remaining games bybuti 21-04-2008, 03:37:PM for what we arn't champions yet. If not now, then when ?? KingPaulV 21-04-2008, 04:50:PM next week to be exact....hehe, if we win and you guys and Villareal fail to win, its on and we can break out the champagne and I can change my signature!....except that we got the harder game althought Deportivo is in excellent form right now.... Socrates 22-04-2008, 02:05:AM Raúl: i wanna play the eurocup :( http://www.as.com/futbol/articulo/raul-nivel-bueno-tengo-ilusion/dasftb/20080417dasdasftb_20/Tes dont worry i have to solution (read with doraemon voice) ... PARATARAXAAAAN (8) : http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41V%2BZRtYSxL._SL500_AA240_.jpg So that's what Ronaldinho has been doing, he and Deco must be real good by now. Anyway good win again Racing and Higuain scored, infact he scored 2 goals in 2 shots but 1 was rightly disallowed. Still good to see him improve his finishing.:p Oh so close now and we could even win it next week although I don't think we will win it that week but the week after that than maybe we will. :jacko: Edit - About Gago, what is this some kind of joke? The kid ( yes kid he is young you know ) is IMO great and this season he has really shown it. I wouldn't trade him for anything. Also it seems like Robinho is still not match fit yet, he got tired pretty quick and looked a little slower than usual although it's expected after being out for so long. Still he did good but I'm sure he will get a lot better as he gets more fit to play. Also If anyone really thinks Robinho is not happy at all than just watch the celebreation from Higuain's goal. KingPaulV 22-04-2008, 02:36:AM celebrations are deceiving Soc, I know one thing, Robihno likes to feel important and I dont think he is feeling all that hot right now....but he should stay and keep improving with us he has the potential to be another C. Ronaldo, Messi etc....about Gago; did you watch the game? Yes, he has class i think he does, but he needs major development IMO, he gets left our of position alot and is still learning his way around the passes, he gives us too many ball still...remember we are Real madrid and excellence is not a plus is a requierement...I like him thought he has great upside IMO Socrates 22-04-2008, 03:22:AM celebrations are deceiving Soc, I know one thing, Robihno likes to feel important and I dont think he is feeling all that hot right now....but he should stay and keep improving with us he has the potential to be another C. He is on the bench becuase he is sitll not 100% match fit and it showed vs Racing. As for Gago, I think he is great and yes I did see the game. At the same time we should remember he is young but also a part of our core team for the future and I very much like him as I do with Higuain. justhammy 23-04-2008, 10:45:AM Uhm, Gago has been our most consistent midfielder this season. He is superb! tim5303 24-04-2008, 10:20:AM Personally would like to see Robinho in a Real shirt for many years to come. He has the skill to be one of the best players in the world, although it seems either he is not totally fit or he is still looking to regain some confidence. KingPaulV 28-04-2008, 01:40:AM 3-0 we beat Atheltic with very good football for a second week in a row now!...amazing, and if you add that Sevilla game and take away the Mallorca one that is almost a month of good football from the Lads...so I am happy something about this Schuster character that seems to be bringing the best out of what we got.... Too bad we were not able to proclaim ourselves chammpions this weeks, but we could be champions next week without even playing if Villareal lose or tie Getafe...if not we just have to win in Osasuna and it will be a wrap... didnt watch the full match cause I was busy so I cant comment much other than that...Madridistas get the Champaigne ready, we are the champions of la Liga two years running!! MaestroZidane 28-04-2008, 06:41:AM Indeed a good display by our team, and actually enjoyed watching saviola play. I wish he would stay with us next seaso :(. A great performance from beggining to end..... and casillas... man what a keeper. This title is ours.. just gotta wait for the official announcement ;). Hala madrid!! justhammy 28-04-2008, 03:11:PM Casillas again proved that he is out of this world!! He really is the best this season. Normally he was just behind Gigi, but this season....He is better!! Saviola was just pure class yesterday!! He is superb!! Pepe, Ramos and Marcelo (in attack) were fantastic! Sneijder again showed that we dont need any other attacking midfielder. Guti was back to his best. Robinho is improving. Gago was the best in midfield. He is really becoming world class!! Raul worked his socks off and was unlucky not to get a goal! Pipita made an instant impact on the game!! His cross for Robben's goal was just technicaly perfect!! And he had a well taken goal. Robben was also very good!! Great game all in all!! Next week LA LIGA!!! HALA MADRIDD!! OrgulloVikingo 30-04-2008, 03:43:AM Looking forward to the Barca match :) Imagine the thoughts of cules the world over as they prepare to play us....with nothing to win! Maybe to save a little face, but that's it! They have no CL and no league :) And they have to visit us while we sing "Campeones, campeones....." Can't wait! zlojack 30-04-2008, 04:57:AM Looking forward to the Barca match :) Imagine the thoughts of cules the world over as they prepare to play us....with nothing to win! KingPaulV 30-04-2008, 04:45:PM Well we are enjoying! fantastic.......I must say, I wanted Barca to win in Europe for Spain's sake, but now that I think about it......its ok they lost....the embarrasment its ginormous when they come play us in the Bernabeu.....Either Pasillo or aliron, either way its going to be painful I know... OrgulloVikingo 30-04-2008, 04:58:PM Well we are enjoying! fantastic.......I must say, I wanted Barca to win in Europe for Spain's sake, but now that I think about it......its ok they lost....the embarrasment its ginormous when they come play us in the Bernabeu.....Either Pasillo or aliron, either way its going to be painful I know... For Spain????????????????????????????????? For Spains sake?????????? Mate, The majority of Barca supporters hate Spain. The club itself thinks they have their own country!!!! And whenever they win, it's the catalan flag that's displayed, tied to the cup!!! They couldn't be more antiSpain mate! I am happy they lost, naturally! KingPaulV 30-04-2008, 05:07:PM well my way of thinking orgullo wether they like it or not they are part of Spain, y eso les jode. They know that no matter how much they want to sell that mes que un club crap they are just a club in Spain...so its kind of a mockery on them that no matter what, they will be viewed as a Spanish side that won the CL....but notwithstanding, I am delighted at what we have done with a new team, full of youngsters, it should be a good run for us I hope....I dont care about Barca they are nothing but another club in SPAIN for me; I guess I am not happy or sad if they win because as I said before, they'll never be us and that's all that matters, we can gift them two our our European cups and five or so Ligas and they are still a mile away, that's why i dont care either way..when they get to 9 CL's we'll have 20 that's just how it is... Hepoas 01-05-2008, 02:28:AM Barcelona is a nobody for me too. I'm optimistic for the bronze this year. Since Barca have a tough fixture in the next three matches, and Atlético have Recreativo, Espanyol and Deportivo I think we can make it. I can't wait for your celebration in front of the Barca-fans. Haha. Even lovely for an Atlético-fan like me. Socrates 01-05-2008, 01:14:PM well my way of thinking orgullo wether they like it or not they are part of Spain, y eso les jode. Agree, in the end they do represent Spain and their win's only help Spain. I also don't really care about them in Europe although I hope they lose in the liga as I do with every team other than Madrid as they are our direct competition and it's good to have a riverly as such it does not go to being just anti-Barca and ****. BTW if we win this weekend than by tradition it would mean that Barca would clap us on the field at the Bernabeu:smilex:Hello new wallpaper, unless they want to be really classless and not clap us on the field which they could always decide to do. Now for some transfer news, we have bough back J. Garcia and Calderon calims that he will have a spot in the team as a squad player although I don't think so. I think we will use him as a bargining chip for a player ( maybe X. Alonso ). It's also been reported that Valencia is broke or something like that and with how ****ty they have done this season it is likely that they will have a lot of players leaving. Hello David Villa, if this true he should be our biggest transfer target this summer. I know we don't have a great relationship with Valencia but now is the best time to try and get him. Last but not least we are also interested in Essien who if we somehow were able to get I would cream my pants...but it's clear that we want another centermid apart from DLR and J. Garica coming back. That's pretty much the only one's I thought were meant mentioning. Vedran-10 01-05-2008, 02:19:PM Congratulations on the league. You were the most consistent team throughout and you deserve it, again. OrgulloVikingo 02-05-2008, 04:35:AM Congratulations on the league. You were the most consistent team throughout and you deserve it, again. Now this is class and totally makes me eat my words about Barca fans. It feels good to be wrong sometimes. Thanks Vedran for your class. I can learn from your example. yt23w 02-05-2008, 05:41:AM HAHAHAHA! did anyone hear about this??? http://www.news.com.au/perthnow/story/0,21598,23616340-5005408,00.html LOL. He will be ours! KingPaulV 03-05-2008, 03:42:PM You want me to post a list of all the people we supposedly want to sign? myabe i'll just do 10 since its too long... Diego C. Ronaldo Cesc Fabregas K. Benzema De Rossi Aquilani Aguero Villa Quaresma Essien Palyuchenko Diego Capel Dani Alves Luis Fabiano ...........isint that like half the world already....oh wait there is more Kaka Fletcher Altidore Ibrahimovic Klass Jaar Huntelaar Iniesta Vucinic Garay and I am sure I might be missing 10 more guys....just wait till the summer and we will know for sure all this speculation is just ridiculous Hepoas 03-05-2008, 04:15:PM True, but Marca reports that you have made a bid. I will be pissed off if Real get him, when we have wanted him in like 2 years or something. oussimoes 03-05-2008, 09:28:PM plzzz queresma is da man he is so good he can become one of the best and if he dont i still like his style, he is the best dribbler in the world he has beter skills then ronaldo and others plzzz real i want him there for years plzz i wanna go to calderon and beg him because i dont want him to go to another club he must come to real or united then we can sell ronaldo to real:D:D Arnau 03-05-2008, 09:43:PM i read iniesta??? XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD P.D: XDDDDDDDDDDDDD KingPaulV 04-05-2008, 03:34:AM well that's what marca said....I was just making the point that according to the rumors we are signing everybody... solaimaa 04-05-2008, 04:58:PM Villareal winning 2-0 at HT. If Villareal and you guys both win today, do you win the title? Or if Villareal win, then you can win the title by beating us? Socrates 04-05-2008, 05:19:PM Villareal winning 2-0 at HT. If Villareal and you guys both win today, do you win the title? Or if Villareal win, then you can win the title by beating us? If we beat Osasuna than it's all over and we are champions regardless of what Villarreal does. As for Quaresma, **** him. Him and his attitude does not deserve a club like ours, I for one would not want him to be here at all. Socrates 04-05-2008, 10:08:PM What the hell is this we just won the league guys, where is everyone? Anyway I like winning like this, playing in a **** staidum with the a ****ty ref who feel into the crowds pressure and still we win it. Higuain = awsomeness, man I love him. He comes on and assits Robben to score for the 1-1 than he scores an amazing goal to make it 1-2 and we are now champions. Congrats everyone, and also thanks to Ramos who keep that attack alive for Higuain's goal. Back to back champions baby:mike1: Edit - Also thanks to everyone for their congratulations. Hepoas 04-05-2008, 10:09:PM Congratulations amigos. Deserved from the start to the end. OrgulloVikingo 04-05-2008, 10:17:PM Congratulations amigos. Deserved from the start to the end. Thank you mate! Very nice of you! newbie original 04-05-2008, 10:20:PM What a game!!! I watched every second of it. Congratulations on defending the title. Penalty seemed questionable but didn't matter in the end. Terrific finish on the second goal and good to see Robben get in on the scoring after his injury riddled season. Thoroughly enjoyed the end of the game..... bybuti 04-05-2008, 10:22:PM I said Congratulations some week ago but I will repeat again. Congratulations! R.9 04-05-2008, 10:55:PM WOWW !! Champion of La Liga !!!! They won the league in great fashion. :D KingPaulV 04-05-2008, 10:56:PM AAAAAAAAAAAAH!!! Yes sorry I been partying!!!! it was amazing couldnt have been any other way than with a late comeback remontada style and wouldnt you know it! Higuain the man comes thru again, we need to get a hold of this kid and keep him if he can continue improving his finishing he is going to be an allstar!!!! CAMPEONES!!! HALA MADRID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Socrates 04-05-2008, 11:08:PM Also interesting to note is that Robben has confirmed that this is his first ever goal that he scored with his head. :D Interista13 04-05-2008, 11:58:PM WOOOO! Congrats guys for winning your 31st! Being a Real fan myself, I hope this trend will continue for a looooong time! :D WOOO! Madridista Siempre! :D Btw, I hope Inter can follow in your guys' footsteps next weekend! :D Both Inter and Real seemed to have pretty similar seasons! (Y) pullstones_jr 05-05-2008, 01:17:AM Pop the champagne guys! 2 years running! HALA MADRID zlojack 05-05-2008, 02:02:AM As much as I hate doing this... Congratulations. Felicidades Campeones. You earned it and deserved it. OrgulloVikingo 05-05-2008, 04:13:AM I'm on cloud 9! However, watching the celebrations in La Cibeles and not being able to be there is a great tragedy for me. There are a few things I definately want to do in life and one of them is celebrating in La Cibeles with thousands of passionate Madridistas like myself. It's been a good season. I'm happy with the squad and with Schuster. I think it's a matter of short time till we win the CL again. For now, lets celebrate.:D P.S - To all the Barca supporters visiting this thread and posting your congrats, thank you! It's been an interesting ride and we were able to endure, persevere and keep focus. You guys always keep us on our toes. Xifio 05-05-2008, 07:57:AM OV, Paul, Soc, and all other members of the SG Madridista fraternity: Many congratulations ... players like Higuain stepped up for you when consistency came at a premium in la liga ... enjoy your success! hopefully we'll be revamped and back before long, and will do more than keep you on your toes next season! :P but before all that, there's the small matter of "el clasico 152" ... giving you guys a guard of honour is going to smart like a b!tch ... no wonder Eto'o was keen on getting suspended ... yt23w 05-05-2008, 09:13:AM I cant express how happy i am!!!! Just watched the game and MY GOD !!!!!!! What a crazy 1st minute in the second half!!! A send off for Cannavaro and then a disallowed goal (thank god!!) and what a fight back! Unbelievable! ELEVEN vs NINE PLAYERS and we score 2 GOALS!!!! I Cant believe that AMAZING WIN!!! The true mark of champions, being able to dig deep and make it count when you need to. Superb win!! Cant say enough about how happy i am! GO MADRID!!! Jaouadinho 05-05-2008, 10:50:AM Campeones campeones ole ole ole!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Iam a bit late but yesterday i had to do a late shift at work so i missed the first half, but watched the second on my break at a bar nearby, and bieng the only one der that probabaly supported real madrid i got a few funny looks for screaming out loud with joy when higuain scored but heck i didnt really care though my emotions just took over. another liga lets hope we get that 10 CL next season. as always HALA MADRID! lanze07 05-05-2008, 11:56:AM Hala Madrid! :taz2::taz2: meraviglioso! Muchas gracias Higuain:smilex: Barca> :coffe-anim: Jaboldinho 05-05-2008, 02:23:PM Congratulations! I'm now just waiting for el Clasico, it will be interesting, if Barce can play as they did yesterday. It's just about honor right now, and I hope for a good match. goal_machine84 05-05-2008, 08:09:PM congratz guys...when you win the title, we win the title :D Hope we meet in the CL ! oussimoes 05-05-2008, 08:12:PM congratulations madritistas we are champions and we deserved now only we have to sign diego, huntelaar.mexes and last and not least quaresmaaaaaa plzz quaresma calderon Jaouadinho 05-05-2008, 09:16:PM congratz guys...when you win the title, we win the title :D Hope we meet in the CL ! yeh me too, when ever we meet u guys we seem to win it.;) why is everyon hell bent on getting queresma? anyway calderon has said there will only be about 3 signings this summer which means about 3 leaving and thats probably all we need and rightly so. a defender, striker and maybe a midfielder i have no idea who they'll be, but it seems like every footballer in the world at the moment. KingPaulV 05-05-2008, 10:31:PM Ok since the season is effectively over....this is my list of possibles and signings some of it hopeful some based on rumors but still trying to be as realistic as possible Out: Diarrah Dudek (I think he'll ask to leave) Baptista Soldado Balboa (hasnt shown anything special to me...good kid, maybe he can go out on loan) In: Garay or Caceres (Young CB) De Rossi or Essien, or any top of the line holding mid, as Gago has more offensive projection Jaar Huntelaar, or Villa (Proven goalscoring striker who can replace Raul or ruud more often than not Diego or VdV or any other creation ACM who can replace Guti or Sneijder In all reality injuries hit us horribly bad this year but with a guy like De La Red coming back we got a guy who can play up and down the midfield and who has been tested against top opposition, so that last signing is not horribly needed. I would like to keep Saviola as he has show he can contribute...I wouldnt spend a boatload of money on a striker because seems like Higuain is starting to come into his own; the only two Positions IMO that need strenghtening are Holding mid and CB because Cannavaro aint what he used to be, and Pepe and Ramos both tend to get a number of cards edit: I forgot to make one last substraction from the team.....Salgado! He must go, thank you Michel for everything at one point the best RB of La liga bu your time has passed! also thank you to the nice Barca supported who came and congratulated, thank you and we will see you Wednesday! KingPaulV 05-05-2008, 11:20:PM enjoy!!!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6aB27PrU0mE&feature=related Socrates 06-05-2008, 01:58:AM Paul, so you would keep Canna? Also replace Wesley? really, why? As for here is how I would do it. Out Salgado - thanks for everything but this has been long due. Cannavaro Torres Diarra only if we get a good offer otherwise I would keep him Baptista Soldado I would actually keep Balboa as I think he is a useful squad player and he plays on the right wing. As for players in we need a CB and maybe RB (D. Alves anyone?) If Granero comes back next season I don't think a CM is needed but if not than maybe we should get one. A right winger for sure and maybe a striker depeding on who is available. solaimaa 06-05-2008, 02:47:AM Congratulations on the title, I'm glad this season is over. Hopefully we will give you guys a better fight next year! KingPaulV 06-05-2008, 11:37:AM No Soc I didnt mean to replace Wesley he is our future but rather a player who can play his position and is interchangeable...we need a deep squad and that's why....not to actually replace him....Cannavaro has one year left and he will probably leave after next year, so He wont get sent out nor will he quit his contract...next year will be his last shot at the CL so he;s going to stay....And i wouldnt get rid of torres because as of right now we have no replacement for Sergio on the right, unless a certain D. Alves comes, but he is TOO expensive and not worth that much IMO Socrates 07-05-2008, 03:33:PM So anyone else have a bad feeling about this game? Like I posted in the Barca forum we might actually lose as we might still be suffering from a hangover and thus not play the way we should...that would just suck, hopefully it's not the case. Jaouadinho 07-05-2008, 07:45:PM So anyone else have a bad feeling about this game? Like I posted in the Barca forum we might actually lose as we might still be suffering from a hangover and thus not play the way we should...that would just suck, hopefully it's not the case. i know how you feel, i guess barca will be more hungry to win the game. but i can see us going out and really having a go to prove to everyone were the best. i'll predict a draw on this one. cant wait though 1 hour 15 mins and every one in the bernabue will be shouting campeones, etoo cabron saluda campeone lol shame hes not playing. Hepoas 07-05-2008, 08:30:PM I really hope Real do their job today. We will need help to get closer Barcelona. theo 07-05-2008, 08:31:PM Raul's form this season has been :icon_spin: OrgulloVikingo 07-05-2008, 08:35:PM OK, this whole pasillo business is getting to me. #1, I do not expect or would never "force" Barca to step aside and clap as we walked on to the pitch, in recognition of our title. It seems very weird to me. Just because you do not applaud the opposition doesn't mean you are going to war and this will get nasty or anything like taht. I mean, I'm all for fairplay and justice and sportsmanship, but this is too much. I would never want to applaud them either. Makes no sense. This whole football business is becoming a bit too sensitive and PC for my liking. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice "humiliation" for Barca but still, out of principle, I'd prefer they not clap and just keep the healthy animosity alive. Any thoughts? AdyKew 07-05-2008, 09:21:PM Alright guys, havnt posted in a while. What is going on? 2-0 in 21 mins? im confused :S. i missed the opening minutes though, did they clap us on or not? KingPaulV 07-05-2008, 09:24:PM HAHAHA Que baile os estamos dando a los cules!!! This looks too easy right now, Barca need to sort themselves out they are looking like Levante or worse Valencia right now MaestroZidane 07-05-2008, 09:49:PM I've been meaning to do this since Sunday..... CAMPEONES!! CAMPEONES!! OLE!! OLE!! OLE!! How great it is Now onto El clasico. We are dominating Barca at the moment, and barca look like they don't want to be there. Let's see were this game goes. HALS MADRID!! Hey on some news, I hear Chelsea are offering 70mil for ramos, I say no thanks KingPaulV 07-05-2008, 10:16:PM and I say again what a dance we are giving these guys should be at leas 3-0 at least.....wow AdyKew 07-05-2008, 10:20:PM Higuain!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Again!!!!!!!!!!!! Xifio 07-05-2008, 10:21:PM wow ... youknowho really does have the midas touch ... 30 seconds (give or take) ... becoming a bit of a mauling for us now ... :( you guys are playing an attractive game (Y) "Rijkaard with a resigned look" ... pun intended by the commentator, I suppose ... KingPaulV 07-05-2008, 10:24:PM GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL PIPITA! Higuain has come alive again, who needs a new striker we got HIGUAIN!!!! Xifio 07-05-2008, 10:37:PM Ruud comes on after a lengthy lay-off ... and he scores with his first touch ... the pen was a little debatable, though the ball clearly hit Puyol's hands ... humiliation station for us ... perfect week for you guys ... KingPaulV 07-05-2008, 10:40:PM and thus we close a fantastic season in a fantastic fashion!!! 4-0 yeah remember that score people 4-0 Xifio 07-05-2008, 10:44:PM hey! a consolation for us! from one of our biggest disappointments of the season! yay! Arnau 07-05-2008, 10:54:PM perez burrull golden ball dude, madrid play better (barça dont play Oo, just messi and flashes of henry) but 3 ilegal goals ;) KingPaulV 07-05-2008, 11:01:PM Arnau dont be a sore loser buddy, les hemos dado un baile de los de antaño...it could have been worse, WAY! worse...also a player of the quality and experience of Puyol should not be raising his hands up to his face like that, and then to parry the ball....not right...also what was illegal about both the Higuain, and Robben goals and even the Penalty? I could see an argument for the first one but it was 50-50 call.... You guys lost and lost pretty bad, I have to say at one point I kind of felt bad for you guys you got a long road ahead... Meanwhile Madridistas, we couldnt have asked for a better end of the season, it was simply magical stuff outhere and I am pleased at how masterfully we have closed out la liga....CONGRATS on a great win! Hala Madrid!!! Socrates 08-05-2008, 12:03:AM Good game although I was a bit suprised with the lineup. Only Raula nd Robben where up front but it actually seemed to work out very well for us. Also nice to see Ruud score after his long injury, won't post much else as I don't have any more time to post. Keep crying Arnau, its like music to my ears. :innocent_smile_1: Socrates 08-05-2008, 12:59:AM OK, this whole pasillo business is getting to me. Alright now I have a bit more time to post. Well its tradition though and it would be a new low in the eyes of everyone but most of all the media if they did not do it. Why should they not clap? I would expect us to do the same if we are in their position. Anyway Raul made is nicer for them as he shook everyones hand and we did not walk out in a single file line and all. Also hats off to Rikjaard for standing there and being the first to congratulate us as well as the players who stood and applauded us on. As for the game, everyone was ******* amazing. Diarra was a monster both on the defence and offense, I don't remember him playing a game this good. This is the Diarra I would keep, if only he would play like this week in and week out. Marcelo also had his best game for us and owned both Messi and Zambrotta. Shame on VV for becoming Rivaldo x2 and trying to get him sent off by faking an injury, I'm glad he got a yellow card for that ****. One last note goes to Ramos for again being everyone, even on the LW:tongue: But today everyone played a really good game, it was an all around great team performance. OrgulloVikingo 08-05-2008, 03:21:AM What a performance!!!! My God! New low for Barca. They will take a longgg time to recover from this raping! Super embarrasing for them! :innocent_smile_1: Hepoas 08-05-2008, 08:45:AM Thanks Real! THANK YOU! http://www.vg.no/bilder/edrum/1210192150092_727.jpg hihi! Its so nice knowing we got nothing to play for and we can just relax! :coffe-anim: MaestroZidane 12-05-2008, 07:36:AM ^^ Indeed it is. By the way, maybe I'm a bit late and all. But will madrid have a celebration for the fans were they drive through a street from one point to another showing of the title, or was that done already?? And I'm not talking about the drive from the stadium to La Cibeles OrgulloVikingo 12-05-2008, 05:01:PM http://www.marca.com/edicion/marca/futbol/1a_division/barcelona/es/desarrollo/1122322.html Oh MY!!!! newbie original 13-05-2008, 02:42:AM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s64h3YPFW6I&feature=related s64h3YPFW6I&feature Socrates 15-05-2008, 01:16:AM Damn the amount of posts has really dropped here, lol. :D Anyway here is the kit for next season, I like it. http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/7809/nuevaequipacin0809so4.jpg http://i.data.bg/08/05/14/954081_orig.jpg MaestroZidane 15-05-2008, 08:36:AM ^^ Indeed it has :D Anyhow I have been following the current events leading up for the Final game. Don't know how many of you guys are aware of what is going on so here's a quick summary. Madrid may end up playing against a Portuguese or English team in the Final game, according to some comments made by Calderon in a radio interview. The Reason?? Levante players and staff are currently owed up to 14mil euros, and have already gone on strike. This means that they may show up to the Bernabeu, but not play at all. It is an unfortunate turn for events surrounding the Levante team, but a game will have to be played before the celebrations. And I personally wouldn't blame them if they actually went forward with their strike. Levante has already received the backing of the majority of La Liga teams, and Madrid players have also expressed their support. Listening to some of the Levante players talk in the radio interview, it is sad what they are going through, because you know that it is their Job and what they do to survive.Having to show up and not get paid is much worse because you don't know what will happen next. Some of the players are being forced to sell their cars, take loans from their homes, borrow money from friends and families. Well the list is long. As a madrid fan, I will be looking forward to the celebrations after the games. But at the same time, I hope the Levante players get paid their dues and we have game against them and not someone from another league.. HALA MADRID!! oussimoes 15-05-2008, 10:05:AM i dont like the this kit at al why are we going back to the retro style i dont like it,, but guys i have a question whats the songs that starts around 20 sec, have been seraching for it for years and i finaly found it but dont know the name or any other link or a longer version. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t2RlwQ3nPAg&feature=related Socrates 15-05-2008, 02:21:PM ^^ Indeed it has :D Anyhow I have been following the current events leading up for the Final game. Indeed it is a bad situation to be in and I have herad the story going on for a while now. I think we even offered to pay Levante to play..but anyway it seems like they wont want to play as they are on strike and so we might play some other team to make up for the game as celebrations will continue as planned. I hope for the best for Levante. KingPaulV 16-05-2008, 12:59:AM Like the kit fellas I like the kit, it is an instant classic IMO...the away one is probably black! nice... anyway...yes sad situation in Levante and the worst part is that the banks wont lend them money....so sad... I am also looking forward to the celebrations, I have already decided that if we win the champions next year I am going to the Cibeles to celebrate, I am already planning the trip!!!....anyway, its fun being this relaxed late in the season, I wouldnt mind it at all if it continued for the next few years... Hala Madrid!! pullstones_jr 18-05-2008, 10:16:PM Excellent performance once again by the guys, 5-2 final scoreline and the final touches put on what has been a strange year for us fans...Anyway, thank you Real Madrid for keeping me sane in another year of school, and HALA MADRIIIIIIID! Arnau 18-05-2008, 10:47:PM new shirt i see Oo X-Ter 18-05-2008, 10:52:PM Well done for winning your league. Now please leave Ronaldo alone. Socrates 19-05-2008, 01:33:AM The new kits look awsome, I am getting one for sure. Nice way to end the season, Wesley scored an amzing goal and Guti with a great assist for the second goal. I also can't believe that him and Raul will miss the Euro, they should be there for sure. Also guys I heard that we have signed Garay from Racing:33vff3o::biggrinx:Now the only thing left is if we have him join us this season or loan him out again to Racing for 1 more season. If this is true than this is great news for us, no its actually fantastic news for us. I have also read that we are trying to get Martín Cáceres aswell and the only reason we are not doing so is becuase Villarreal are asking for DLR and we dont want to transfer him out, hmm lets see how this all plays out. KingPaulV 19-05-2008, 02:05:AM Fantastic kit, fantastic end of the season, i dont know about you guys but it seems we hit our stride late...if it is a preview of how we are supposed to be playing in a consistent basis then we look extremely good, I wouldnt put it beyond us to walk out with three Ligas in a row.... Thank you fellas for a great season, and also thank you Barca fans for keeping it interesting here on the boards, this thread will be closing soon and so we bid adieu to a pretty good season, next year A Por la decima! I reallly have high hope for next season. I think is time for Real Madrid to shine in the CL and win la decima next year!!! I really like the new kit too !! OrgulloVikingo 19-05-2008, 04:45:PM Great way to end the season. I think we have a very special club, Schuster is the one for us, and things look bright for the near future (CL!!!). Much respect to Levante for showing up and not deciding to strike. Shows their class. To be honest, I wish it were just a 1-0 win. Those guys are going through some tough times and this thrashing wasn't needed but.. And yes, the new kits look very bad @ss! OrgulloVikingo 19-05-2008, 04:47:PM as.com just confirmed we signed Garay http://www.as.com/futbol/articulo/futbol-madrid-ficha-garay-adelanta/dasftb/20080519dasdaiftb_17/Tes KingPaulV 19-05-2008, 05:30:PM Indeed it is!....good job Presi...that was one of the signings I wanted... ok speaking of which...shall we review the possibilities and our needs? IMO.... Out: Baptista Salgado Balboa (loan) Metzelder (Maybe...I still like him but if the money is right, i would sell him) Dudek (Jordi Codina proved yesterday that he can be a solid backup plus He's cantera) Saviola (I think he could be useful for us but I dont know how happy he would be to sit on the bench again) Granero (Loan/trade deal) In: De La Red (Confirmed) Garay (Confirmed) Javi Garcia (Confirmed) RW/AMR FC/AM that's it!...I like how Diarrah came alive in the final strech of the season he was absolutely rock solid in the last three games and pretty decent in the two prior...so he has earned another season with us.. Arnau 19-05-2008, 06:39:PM just curiosly, why you always write diarraH ? LOL, Ferguson is a nut:biggrinx: He always talks to much, but usally its about how crap the refs are so he can get on their backside to make sure CR gets a penalty when he goes down on his own. Speaking of which his leatest antics (not really Marca), it is Ronaldo who does not squash the rumors by now stating that he will decide his future in 2 weeks or that he is happy but still open to Madrid and etc. I really dont think we should get him now, his attitude is too much and his recent way that he is presenting himself but not saying if he wants to stay or go is stupid. It's also funny to see how **** scared the managers/fans get when their player gets linked to us. Honestly if anyone on this Madrid team was acting like C.R. I would just tell them to leave, if someone does not want to be here than leave. Huntelaar would be a great for us, I hope we can get him this summer. Also Jaouadinho, don't take anything Arnau says about Madrid serious. He is of course going to say **** about us, like he has done so often in the past. I was just putting it out there to expect this rumors of him wanting out, more likely than not it's just his agent talking bull**** as usual. Arnau - He has shown a lot this season, but if you don't see us play than you can't see that I guess. Gene Reginato 24-05-2008, 05:59:PM Up to his injury Robinho was RM main player this year. Oh I agree, and I think most people do as well. Well Madrid fans that is at least, before his injury he was our best player. There is no doubt about that, its just a shame that he could not play 100% fit was Roma and it backfired on us as it made him more injured but anyway I am sure we all want him to stay. I for one would not sell or trade him for anyone. OrgulloVikingo 26-05-2008, 04:18:PM I wouldn't trade or sell Robinho either. The guys full potential is till untapped. He gels with the team nicely too. I wouldn't trade him for Ronaldo either. Don't know about you guys but I feel we have a very harmonius group who get along and fight for each other. I think getting someone of Ronaldo's stature will disrupt the group. Not only that but he'll probably want to be the head cheese (which wouldn't happen). I say do not fix something thats not broken. I am all for getting Huntelaar or someone similar to play upfront, striker, since RVN is getting up there in age and who knows if he'll remain healthy. And maybe 1 other guy, but that's it. Thats what suppossedly Man U ask! hahahah! http://www.marca.com/edicion/marca/futbol/1a_division/real_madrid/es/desarrollo/1127530.html id rather chop off my balls. anyway i hope this ronaldo **** dies down soon. i agree with argullo ronaldo wil only disrupt the group at the moment, and if we get him where will he play who will be sacrificed for him etc etc, i really dont understand why calderon and co are so hell bent on trying to buy him, most of the time schuster doesnt even play with a right sided midfielder he prefers to play one DM 2 creative midfielders e.g. guti and sniejder on one true winger robinho or robben. who knows maybe its a publicity stunt or something of that nature. KingPaulV 27-05-2008, 09:57:PM Nah it was a real intent, the man can score, a great header of the ball and a true winger ala Messi, so why not if you could get him why not....however I do believe its all been a stunt by C. Ronaldo to try to unsettle Man U into giving him a contract extension, as I said before If I was the Sports director I would recommend against signing him as he is not the profile of player that we need at the moment...i would buy Hleb, Huntelaar, and maybe if possible someone like Essien for that money and say good ridance and enjoy a third La Liga and possible a champions... Agree, Ronaldo just wants a big contract so that's what him and his agent are doing right now. Also you guys need to not read much into the rumors, plus its Marca. They alwasy have rumors of Diarra, Robinho, or Ramos leaving and they (Marca) have been **** for the last couple of years now. Hleb??? Hell no, the guy is not worth anything IMO and not needed at all. Huntelaar would be a great additon IMO, both Raul and Ruud are getting older and it would be the perfect time to get him IMO. I have liked how we have treated the younger players that have been coming in. Like Marcelo, Higuain, Gago, and etc. It's not been just sink or swim, we have actually been smart in how we are developing them. Look at how much Marcelo has benefited since he has joined him and to the end of this season. Essien would be a dream come true but really I doubt we could get him right now and plus we are brining back DLR and J. Garcia so the midfield is pretty packed IMO plus we have Gago, Guti, Diarra, and of course Wesley. OrgulloVikingo 28-05-2008, 04:21:PM Huntelaar = Green light. Ronaldo = Red light. Really, don't think we need any other players. We should keep working and have faith in the gago's Higuain's who, imo, have proven to be very good players. I especially love higuain. To be honest, he reminds me alot of Raul in work ethic, sweating the shirt and having the values. He is the perfect Madridista imo. I think he will be with us for a long time. I love his fighting spirit and he seems like a healthy young man, both spiritually and physically. At the moment, Im not too concerned about turning him into a scoring machine. I am happy with his embodiment of the Madrid spirit. I would have loved to have garay for next season instead of leaving him at Santander but I guess it wont hurt. newbie original 28-05-2008, 11:26:PM Official site has a new look. I still dont believe it but I am irate at the possibility of our team being broken up!. This whole Robinho + Ramos for Ronaldo???? Are you kiddin me? Although i remember reading in an artice that Calderon stated that Madrid have enough money to go buy C.Ronaldo. So why do we need to sell anybody? I'd rather Huntelaar and Quaresma and maybe a third player rather than sell 2 or 3 members of the team that we are supposed to be keeping together to save the chemistry between the players. Btw when does this thread close and the next season thread open? KingPaulV 06-06-2008, 12:46:PM Soldado was a non factor in all honesty, Julio did alright but admitedly was experiencing a horrible lack of form late in the season...and then Robihno, I would not want to see him go, but to trade him off for Ronaldo is not a bad business deal. I would love to get Hunterlaar to be honest but we will see lanze07 06-06-2008, 12:57:PM ronaldo will remain in Manchaster! Neighter Real nor barca will pay 100mio € for him. He is a greeat player (maybe the best) but he is a DIVA and we don't need him we have robbe and robinho! With 100mio. we can buy a lot of good players we only need 50€ for buying Vargas (excellent defender) and David Villa and so we can save other 50mio. P.S And Sergio Ramos is of course the best rb. OrgulloVikingo 06-06-2008, 04:03:PM I agree. We dont need him. Furthermore, I feel Robinho will be the best in the world soon. I love the guy and we need to keep him. Ramos? I read somewhere that he was going to make a specific program for him next season to build him up and get some extra kilos into his legs. if this happens hell be the best no doubt. anyone see pepe's goal for portugal by the way, the guy is a beast so glad weve got him. KingPaulV 08-06-2008, 09:57:PM Remember one thing guys his dream has always been to play in Madrid not in Manchester U. so it is possible that once in the club of his dreams he would just see out his time althought I wouldnt expect it yt23w 10-06-2008, 07:48:AM also C.Ronaldo would want to be wearing the #7 jersey if he comes to Madrid, coz of his contracts and sponsor deals and i think he's opened a club or hotel or something named CR7. Alot of money could be made or lost from him in that number... ...but its already taken by someone. personally i dont care if he comes or not. Great if he does, oh well if he doesnt. He dives a bit too much for my liking. Drogba too. I'd say wait a season or two, get OTHER players like Quaresma and Huntelaar, and let ManUtd have their fun with him. KingPaulV 11-06-2008, 12:39:PM there have been reports that Ronaldo would take number 9 if he came...but really this is all speculation, I would rather get Huntelaar at this point...and maybe someone like Quaresma or a true right winger...I mean if Ronaldo came, great, but i wont be crying about it either way OrgulloVikingo 14-06-2008, 08:52:PM there have been reports that Ronaldo would take number 9 if he came...but really this is all speculation, I would rather get Huntelaar at this point...and maybe someone like Quaresma or a true right winger...I mean if Ronaldo came, great, but i wont be crying about it either way Your guys thoughts on Villa joining us? KingPaulV 14-06-2008, 10:25:PM Villa? Yeah I would like him, he could be a perfect replacement for Raul, he could start taking over that position, cause regardless of how good el capi's season was, he is getting on in years...and he is spanish, which is good, but I would still feel our more pressing need is a killer in the area like Van Gol...but sure i wouldnt mind Villa MaestroZidane 15-06-2008, 07:31:AM WOuld love it if villa came to us.. ON a side note, What about the possibility of Ramos leaving in a trade for Ronaldo?? I personally wouldn't be too happy with such a deal KingPaulV 15-06-2008, 03:34:PM This is the fact Zidane....we dont have a replacement for Ramos, if he were to leave I am not sure that a guy like Torres could do his job. Also the market is so thin of good attacking RB which is what Schuster's system demands, that it would be nearly suicidal to let him go.... Bosingwa just signed for Chelsea, Alves for Barca, and Maicon is definetly not for sale, after that the options are pretty poor...so no, I would not trade Ramos for anybody at this point...I would however trade Robihno for Ronaldo....now hear me out.. I like Robihno, I think he will be a top three in a few years, but the tradeoff is not bad at all, we get a great player they get a great player...I wouldnt just let him go but if we ABSOLUTELY had to tradesomeone for Ronaldo it would be him.... also, what a great Euro a lot of the Madridistas are Having, with the exception of Ramos...and with the highlight of Sneijder...now nobody questions the 25 mill for him or the 36 for Robben or even the 30 for Pepe....great buys now...hehe lanze07 15-06-2008, 03:38:PM Yes, CR is at the time the best player in the world. But calderon would be very stupid, paying 95(!) mio. € for CR. It's too much money. With 95mio. we could buy Villa,Huntelaar and Juan Vargas. And we already have great Wing-Players (Robben,Robinho,Balboa and Drenthe) And Raul can also play Left Wing. So that there is no problem for buying Villa. And we need good Strikers because they gets easily injured, and RVN possibly will leave Real... Cannavaro is injured, Metzelder will leave, Heinze will play central defender and Garay will come 09/10 so we need more defender (exspecially left defender). Marcelo can not play all the games and Torres is thought to play on the right side or in the central. SO CALDERON PLEASE BUY THE 15mio. Madrid (not cuz he's peruvian, but because he is considered one of the best left backs in Serie A right now) He is got a great shot, he is physically tough, good technique, (kind of like how Heinze plays) i acknowledge Marcelo's improvement this past season but i think we need to reinforce that Left Back position lanze07 18-06-2008, 11:35:PM Si, claro. Espero que Calderon paga los 15mio. € (Y) R.9 20-06-2008, 04:22:AM Now that Portugal has been eliminated, the C.Ronaldo saga will be at full force in the media. There saying that if Ronaldo come to Madrid, Robinho will no longer be in Schuster plans. I would not want to see Robinho leave Real Madrid because before he injury in the last season, he was Real Madrid best player. I am sure he would have continue to play great if not of his injury. But if Ronaldo come, it will be hard for Robinho to have some playing time with Schuster. They said his wingers will be Ronaldo and Robben. Robben is a great player but you never know with his injuries. KingPaulV 20-06-2008, 11:51:AM The only saga now is wether Man U will sell him or not, He has stated he wants to come, go to Marca.com they got a sound bite of his saying the stuff if understand Spanish then you'll know what he says...anyway....Robihno was the one who started all this, after the Brazil-Canada he said he was willing to leave unless he got a new contract...so hey whatever buddy, we should never bow down to players...What Ronaldo did to Man U is rather shameful but United have never had to sell a player they wanted to keep...I think they will eventually have to sell him, why keep an unhappy player that wont play when you could make all that extra money and buy three other players...anyway... MaestroZidane 21-06-2008, 02:18:PM just posted a rant on the ronaldo saga thread after reading that Sneijder would be part of the package to get Ronaldo.
