Zlatan 27-06-2007, 10:55:PM Let there be one more goal this year...
History
Founded on March 18, 1900 AFC Ajax is one of the largest and most storied clubs in European football. After their founding and acceptance into Dutch Football Ajax spent ten seasons in the country's second division before earning promotion for the 1911 season. The move to the first division did not last long though as just three seasons later the club was relegated for the first and only time in its illustrious history.
The fate of the club quickly changed with the arrival of trainer Jack Reynolds who would spend 35 years at the helm of the team. Under the leadership of this legendary coach Ajax won their first National Championship in 1918. From that point on Ajax could always be found at or near the top of the Dutch table. It was also Reynolds and his revolutionary training methods that built the foundation for what has now become the world famous Ajax Youth Training Program.
The historic win of 1918 was the first of what currently stands at an astonishing 29 league titles for the Amsterdam club. Five of those magical wins came in the decade of the 1930's when the dominance of the red and white was at one its highest points ever. The 1930's were also a special decade for the club as in 1934 they moved into what would become known as "De Meer." Their new stadium where which legends would be born. It was there that Ajax would call home fore over 60 years and be the place that the club would come to dominate Dutch football and grow into a power across Europe.
Ajax' first taste of European competition came in 1961 when the club became the first from the Netherlands to participate in the European Cup Winners Cup. Success on the European front loomed in the future as the club found a place in the 1969 Cup final before bringing home their first title in 1971. Starting with the magical victory in 1971 Ajax went on to win three consecutive European Champions Cups. In 1972, led by the world famous Johan Cruijff had one of the best seasons ever by a professional football team winning the National Championship, the Dutch Cup, the European Champions Cup and the World Cup.
"De Meer" was also the place where Ajax would develop it's world famous youth training program and develop some of the worlds best football players, a philosophy that is even more important to their success today.
The success of the late 1960's and early 1970's although impossible to duplicate was followed up by 25 more years of success for the club that included 11 National Championships in the final quarter of the century. The success was highlighted by another exciting venture in Europe as Ajax again became European and world champions in 1995.
The need for a new stadium brought with it the closing of "De Meer" in 1996 and the move to the Amsterdam ArenA. With it a new chapter in Ajax history opened. In 1998 Ajax would again find themselves at the top winning both the National Championship and their 14th Dutch Cup in 1998. Now it is time once again for the club to celebrate a new beginning. This time as they head into their second century as one of Europe's most innovative and successful football clubs.

I LOVE AJAX :)
PSVFOREVER 28-06-2007, 05:20:PM Pretty Thread. It doesn't contain Sibon though...
Next season I'll live in Amsterdam. So I'll surely be your #1 critic on this board again!
Zlatan 28-06-2007, 06:10:PM Cool. In which part of the city? (Y)
I might get a season ticket this year, BTW. Me and my uncle are going to share it. :p

errr. that's the problem. I'm gonna study at the UvA, but haven't found a room yet.(N) Amsterdam is really expensive for studentrooms (I can stay with a friend though for a while who already has a room in Uylenstede)
Zlatan 28-06-2007, 06:56:PM Hmm, yeah I heard about that problem, lol. :)
It's a matter of getting to know the right people I've expierienced.
Zlatan 03-07-2007, 03:15:PM The squad numbers have been decided. No real surprises. As decided a few months ago, no one will play as of this season with number 14 anymore, in honor of Johan Cruijff. New signings Delorge, Heijblok and Bakircioglu get respectively numbers 15, 12 and 7. Leonardo will wear number 11 next season, Perez moves to 19 because of this.
All the squad numbers:
1 - Maarten Stekelenburg
2 - John Heitinga
3 - Jaap Stam
4 - Thomas Vermaelen
5 - Urby Emanuelson
6 - Hedwiges Maduro
7 - Kennedy Bakircioglu
8 - Ryan Babel
9 - Klaas Jan Huntelaar
10 - Wesley Sneijder
11 - Leonardo
12 - Erik Heijblok
13 - Edgar Davids
15 - Laurent Delorge
16 - Tom de Mul
17 - Jan Vertonghen
18 - Gabri
19 - Kenneth Perez
20 - George Ogararu
21 - Edgar Manucharyan
22 - Robbert Schilder
23 - Nicolae Mitea
24 - Mitchell Donald
25 - Gregory van der Wiel
26 - Jeffrey Sarpong
27 - Vurnon Anita
28 - Michael Krohn-Dehli
29 - Olaf Lindenbergh
30 - Dennis Gentenaar
I've added these to the first post aswell.
How is Mitea doing in training or friendlies? I don't like him nor care about him but I'm curious about his progress.
Zlatan 03-07-2007, 03:24:PM Well, there haven't been any trainings or friendlies for the new season yet. But rumours are that he's going to leave and frankly I wouldn't really mind, because he's mostly injured and if he's not he plays sh*t. Moreover, we've got the left winger position pretty well covered.
Silencer 03-07-2007, 05:41:PM EXCELLENT WORK ZLATAN ON THE FIRST POST (Y)
Did you notice that Perez has number 19 now and lost his number to Leo?
And Wesley is still nr 10 but the question is for how long?? :boohoo:
Right now we have an intern Colin (former PSV) on trial and if he does well he could earn a contract.
Zlatan 03-07-2007, 07:44:PM Added the fixture list for next season to the first post aswell, BTW.
Silencer 03-07-2007, 08:13:PM 11-11-2007 gonna be a cracker against Feyenoord!
Makaay, Hofland, de Cler and other players, let's see if they can win against us now after 20 years we are soooooooo afraid............NOT!
crswind17 03-07-2007, 08:20:PM Truly, it was joyful reading that first post, especially the history :)
btw howcome Roger retired? He wasn't a very old guy
Silencer 03-07-2007, 08:28:PM He wanted to do something else other than Football and he's not that old at all, his contract was not to be renewed by Ajax and so he made this decision on his own. He wants to go back to Spain and live a long and happy life with his family there. In retrospect the games he played for us weren't many but he scored once in Ajaxkit ;)
Zlatan 03-07-2007, 09:46:PM He got his season broke down last season by many injuries. Which is a shame, because in the beginning of last season he played quite well and started in most matches. I think if he hadn't had so many injuries he might've become a regular starter like Gabri.
He decided to retire because he was tired of the world of football and wanted to explore diffrent sides of life. But I think he mostly retired because he didn't look like getting an offer from another club, when Ajax refused to renew his contract.
Silencer 03-07-2007, 10:11:PM Daniel de Ridder goes to Birmingham City for three years, I was kind of hoping that Ajax would offer him a new chance :(
Come on guys rate this thread ;)
Zlatan 03-07-2007, 10:59:PM Yeah, we should have never let him go to Celta in the first place. :(
Silencer 04-07-2007, 05:58:PM It looks like Perez is not going anywhere since psv is off the market and feyenoord as well, he has to show up tomorrow for the first training, let's see is he does.. :junior:
Zlatan 04-07-2007, 06:21:PM I'm really glad to hear that. I mean, certainly if Wes leaves, we're going to need him next season. But he might still leave if a foreign club makes an offer for him. Van Geel already said he didn't want to sell him to any concurrents but he's open for a foreign club.
PSVFOREVER 04-07-2007, 10:17:PM Hmm, yeah I heard about that problem, lol. :)
It's a matter of getting to know the right people I've expierienced.
yay, found a room. It's in Nieuwendam, north of het IJ. It's ideal, except the fact it's pretty difficult to get to the city center with a bike. (Can you cross the Zuiderzeeweg with a bicycle?) Enough bus connections though.
Zlatan 04-07-2007, 10:30:PM Good job finding a room, lol! (Y)
Actually it shouldn't be as hard to go by bike, you can cross 't IJ by bridge. Depending on where you wish to be in the city you can also take the ferry, which sets you off near Amsterdam CS.
ajaxforever 05-07-2007, 03:36:PM The 1st training of Ajax was on De Toekomst today, I was there. The fans were great, the weather was also great wich I didn't expect.:mrpimp:
http://img412.imageshack.us/img412/3662/dsc08874rz4.th.jpg (http://img412.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc08874rz4.jpg)
Silencer 05-07-2007, 10:48:PM Yeah the training started and if it's up to Ajax Wesley is staying next season as well, Jaap Stam said today that he MUST stay to play a very important role this season cause 'we want to become champions this time, it's my last year here and I want that to happen' (Stam)
van Geel thinks he will stay and our coach HtC said that he is expecting Wesley to give it his best cause if he plays better, ManUtd, Real Madrid and Barca will be waiting at the end of next season. Stories about an unmotivated Sneijder is not at all true according to HtC, he stays with Ajax and will do everything in his power to get prizes next season.
I really really really hope Wesley stays but I think there is a big chance of that :)
Zlatan 05-07-2007, 11:18:PM Let's not cheer just yet. It's only 5th july, still 56 days to go until the end of the transfer window. :(
I'm telling you, if only one big gun comes with an offer of 20 million+, Van Geel will accept it and Wes will go. Also it remains to be seen wheter Wesley, himself, will be happy to stay when so many big clubs are intrested in him.
Ome Henk also announced he wants to buy another striker as some sort of 'breekijzer' in difficult situations. He says Ajax already knows who they want for this position, I'm curious...
At the moment I heard this the one person that came to mind was Patrick Kluivert. Don't know why. :p

A pinch-hitter(H)
I don't think Ajax will offer Kluivert a new contract. Van Geel already said that Kluivert wasn't good enough anymore for Ajax.
Zlatan 05-07-2007, 11:56:PM Haha, that was the word. I was looking for it, all the time. :)
van der vaart 09-07-2007, 02:32:PM Its official: De Mul went to Sevilla for 5mln euros. he signed 5 years contract. i think 5mln is very very not bad price
van der vaart 09-07-2007, 02:35:PM Liverpool in bid for Ajax ace
Liverpool have made an offer for Ryan Babel, according to the Ajax forward's agent.
The youngster impressed for Holland at the recent European Under 21 Championship and has been strongly linked with Arsenal.
Babel has admitted he envisages playing for the Gunners at some stage in his career, but cast doubt on a summer move to Emirates Stadium.
However, he could now have the option of a transfer to Liverpool after Babel's agent Winnie Haatrecht revealed the UEFA Champions League finalists' interest.
"I won't say anything about the amounts currently mentioned, however I can confirm Ajax have received an official bid from Liverpool," Haatrecht told Dutch magazine Sportweek.
"Ryan has not spoken with the club.
"Only if Ajax tell us they have an agreement, and state we can talk, will phase two begin.
"In that phase you will look at what Liverpool want, what their plans are with Babel.
"After that, the financial part will come, but it's not that far.
"First, we have to wait for both clubs to get a deal."

The offer is 10M Euro :o :|
Tie a ribbon around the man and ship him off to Liverpool as far as I'm concerned and if we play our cards right we could even get 12M.
With that money and the money for de Mul we can get Afonso Alves :p
EDIT: It seems that Liverpool made a bid more closer to 20M!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ajax is seriously considering it and has told the media today that there is a big chance that Babel is going to Pool.
The man himself is enjoying his vacation in Suriname and already said that he really wants to go to Liverpool so byebye Ryan :ewan:
van der vaart 12-07-2007, 12:45:PM it looks like that we lost babel too.. acording to ajaxnetwerk.tk he signed 5 years contract with liv'pool. the transfer fee is 18mln euros. De Mul, Perez, Babel.. who's next? Huntelaar? Sneijder?
ajaxforever 12-07-2007, 05:59:PM He's gone, it's official now. Ajax will get 17 or 18M euro for him.
And Huntelaar and Sneijder won't go away this summer...
Now Ajax has to buy some good replacements.
Hopeunited 12-07-2007, 06:22:PM Bye bye Babel.
We got a lot of money in return though so that's good. We can find one or two good players with that amount.
Silencer 12-07-2007, 07:06:PM His replacement is going to be Lasse Nilsson from Heerenveen, great Swede from Heerenveen. He and Ajax have already reached an agreement, 4 million is the fee for him. It will be announced tomorrow or monday!

are you sure about that? few weeks ago Babel and Ajax board said that he won't go enywhere this summer, but we see what happened..
The same thing can easily happen again with KJH and Wesley if someone will offer good money. it's all about the money..:sb9:

Yeah but it always depends what Ajax will choose, Sneijder and Huntelaar or the money. They don't want to lose them now, so I don't think they'll leave Ajax this summer.
Silencer 13-07-2007, 06:53:PM Yeah but it always depends what Ajax will choose, Sneijder and Huntelaar or the money. They don't want to lose them now, so I don't think they'll leave Ajax this summer.
Huntelaar told Martin v Geel yesterday that he wants to remain with Ajax for at least 1 or 2 seasons more.
Sneijder said that if he's still with Ajax after august 14, he'll stay also because he wants the start to be good with the CL Prerounds.
ajaxforever 14-07-2007, 12:25:PM Luis Suárez steps to the arbitration committee
Luis Suárez steps to the arbitration committee to enforce a transfer to Ajax. His club, FC Groningen, doesn't cooperate to start the negotiations with Ajax. Suarez will earn 3 or 4 times more as he earns now at FC Groningen. Because of the financial improvements and the sportive improvements the chance is big he will win the case and moves to Ajax.
Silencer 14-07-2007, 03:50:PM Nice I would like him to play for us (Y)
First match of the season, ok it was a practisematch against amateurs but still :)
4-0 victory over VVSB (kennedy 2x, Faneti??? and Mitea scored)
Our coach was happy and satisfied on ajax.nl
Mauricio 15-07-2007, 04:36:AM I herd rumours about Ajax having interest in Mexican GK Ochoa.
How far is this from reality do u really need a GK.?
Would be a great signing he is very young (21), yet he has a lot experience already he played Copa Libertadores in his debut at 17, he was the top GK in the league last season, already played great games with the NT team in official competitions like Copa America, i mean this guy has great potential, and Ajax seems to be a a team that would fit him perfectly
Silencer 15-07-2007, 04:47:PM Yes the interest for Ochoa is real according to the board, there is a big chance we'll sign him in the near future (within a few weeks)
Mauricio 15-07-2007, 07:45:PM Cool. Just hoping that America doesnt put him a ridiculous big price tag, which is probalbe accordin to past events :(
Crusad3r 16-07-2007, 10:53:AM Marca reports Madrid could be interested in Sneijder, since Cesc and Kaká signings wont be succesful, an Offensive Midfielder like Sneijder could be OK.
Silencer 16-07-2007, 05:48:PM They can report whatever they want but Wesley wants to go to Valencia and a delegation will be coming to Amsterdam this week to make a new (higher) bid so chances are that by the end of this week or early next week, Wes will be leaving us :(
Silencer 17-07-2007, 02:15:PM Finally Ajax is shopping for new players, Ajax has shown interest in Artem Milevskiy from Ukrain and he already told the media that he wants to play here :) Same goes for César Delgado from Mexico and the talks are going well.
One thing is 99% sure, Xabi Prieto from Real Sociedad is on the virge of signing a contract in Amsterdam. Within 48 hours Sociedad will hold a pressconference where they will proclaim the news.
Still bad thing is that Wesley will leave cause that's 99% sure as well and now Valencia wants HEITINGA as well WTF HELL NOOOO keep you hands off!
I'm sure Ajax won't let him leave though so I'm not too worried about that.
Yesterday another player got injured and again it's MITEA :(
We've won with 9-0 against GFC
Scorers:
1-0 Huntelaar
2-0 Davids
3-0 Sneijder
4-0 Mitea
5-0 Sneijder
6-0 Sneijder
7-0 Gabri
8-0 Douti (African intern)
9-0 Gabri
Good win :bouncy:
See how important Wesley is :$
ajaxforever 17-07-2007, 02:19:PM Well, about Milevskiy, Delgado and Heitinga are rumours. Actually I don't believe any of them... ;)
The chance is big dat Sneijder will leave, but Ajax can do what they want. If they want Wesley to stay he will stay at Ajax. Also I read somewhere that Ajax wants 32.5M euros for him but that's also a rumour I think.
And some good news; Leonardo was training yesterday. :)
Silencer 17-07-2007, 06:13:PM I don't mind if Milevskiy wants to come, he's a good player :mexican:
ajaxforever 17-07-2007, 06:18:PM I don't mind if Milevskiy wants to come, he's a good player :mexican:
Yeah, the only matches I saw him playing was last years Under -21 championship. I was impressed how good he was playing.
Silencer 17-07-2007, 06:28:PM Impressive indeed :)
Don't know too much about Xabi Prieto but I think he will be the first signing tomorrow ;)
Silencer 18-07-2007, 09:47:AM New developments regarding Wesley, it seems that Valencia made a new bid, they want to pay 16 million for our starplayer and Ajax laughed it away.
Ajax made it quite clear that we don't want to sell Wes till at least next season. IF clubs want to have him they have to pay 30!!! Million because that's the new pricetag around his neck :|
No way in hell Valencia can afford that so the deal is off! Real Madrid was interested but according to Ajax there was no serious contact and 30m after the 20 million they paid for Robben..??
I'm happy that we are doing everything in our power to keep him, well done Martin van Geel! (Y)
It looks like he's staying after all :D
Silencer 20-07-2007, 12:23:AM UPDATE:
We bagged Ismael Urzaiz as our new pinchhitter, he signed for a year!
He scored 115 goals in 366 games :o
Damn I didn't know they were talking to him lol :D
According to Martin v Geel he's going to be 2nd man behind the Hunter.
Best thing of all it's going to cost us NOTHING, he's transferfree :)
Azrael 20-07-2007, 02:05:AM Out of interest, are there any rumors regarding Huntelaar leaving?
Silencer 20-07-2007, 08:55:AM Out of interest, are there any rumors regarding Huntelaar leaving?
Huntelaar stays with Ajax, he wants to stay himself for at least one (or maybe two seasons) more, that's what he told our TM. :junior:
Never say never but I'm sure Ajax will refuse any cooperation if some club wants him. NOT FOR SALE!
PSVFOREVER 20-07-2007, 12:11:PM Urzaiz. Dont really know why Ajax would take him, there are younger pinchhitters around. A friend for Prieto maybe? That could be a good reason

we still need another striker, coz Urzaiz can play just 20-25min of the game and he wiil spend most of the time on the bench if KJH will be fit. But if KJH will get injury, we will have big problemos
Silencer 20-07-2007, 05:32:PM And another new player will be presented tonight DENNIS ROMMEDAHL will sign for us, he played 7 years for psv.
Another surprise in two days time, no one knew they were talking to him but even better news fresh from the needle:
WESLEY HAS DECIDED TO STAY WITH AJAX!!
MAN I'M SO HAPPY :lui::lui::lui::-paul::-paul::D
Now all we need is one more midfielder (probably Prieto) and another striker (probably Suarez after the courtcase against Groningen)
Silencer 20-07-2007, 05:34:PM we still need another striker, coz Urzaiz can play just 20-25min of the game and he wiil spend most of the time on the bench if KJH will be fit. But if KJH will get injury, we will have big problemos
Don't worry we're working on it remember, Suarez starts a case vs Groningen cause they won't cooperate with the transfer to Ajax and I'm sure he'll win it.
Only a matter of time before he will be presented.
And if Suarez loses then chances are big we will get Artem Milevskiy.
PSVFOREVER 20-07-2007, 06:02:PM Haha Rommedahl.
Good signings this season...Heijblok, Delorge, Colin, Rommedahl, Urzaiz...
Fallen 20-07-2007, 06:15:PM You said Mitea is injured?
Is it serious?
Anyway, with or without him, good luck Ajax in the new season !
Silencer 20-07-2007, 07:21:PM he's out for three weeks or something so it's not that serious ;)
ajaxforever 20-07-2007, 07:51:PM Haha Rommedahl.

Cocu gone, Alex gone...Zonneveld, Lazovic, Van Der Leegte...:-paul:
jimorrizon 20-07-2007, 10:22:PM Rumor....
Chelito Delgado (Cruz Azul) ----> Ajax
Sevillista 21-07-2007, 08:55:PM Hey guys, what can you tell me about Tom de Mul. As you must already know, he's come to Sevilla to back up Jesus Navas.
justhammy 21-07-2007, 10:28:PM Hey guys, what can you tell me about Tom de Mul. As you must already know, he's come to Sevilla to back up Jesus Navas.
He isnt worth the 5 mill (!) you payed for him! A (at max) decent player. Has some speed, but doenst come close to that of Jesus! Jesus is superiour in everything and by miles. De Mul is really not a great buy. But o well he is backup so why not.
Silencer 22-07-2007, 12:01:AM I agree with Justhammy, he's ok but not great by all means.
It was a very bad day for us today :(
DAVIDS BROKE HIS LEG (LEFT SHIN) AND IS OUT FOR 3 MONTHS :taz:(N)
On top of that the game against Go Ahead Eagles was cancelled thanks to a few so called fans who made trouble on the stands :nape:
At that time it was 1-0 for us (Huntelaar) sh*t (N)
PSVFOREVER 23-07-2007, 12:51:PM Not very professional of Davids not to wear shin protection (scheenbeschermers. don't know the english word for it). Especially with his style of play.
Silencer 24-07-2007, 10:44:PM Agreed Cody ;)
Just been watching the game against Glasgow Rangers and we did well, 1-1 endresult and I have to say WELCOMEEEEEEEE ROMMEDAHL :ewan:
He's an assett to the team for sure and the same goes for Kennedy although he should've scored when he was alone in front of goal :|
Positionplay was good but the team was not complete, no Gabri, no Davids but I have to say the 2nd half was nice to watch :)
Our goal was a good one, great attack through Wesley, Rommedahl and Heitinga was the scorer (Y)
Fallkirk up next saturday..
Silencer 03-08-2007, 12:09:AM WESLEYYYYYYYY WHAT A GOAL!!! :bouncy::bob::bouncy::bob:
Good win against Atletico Madrid tonight with 2-0.
I was especially pleasantly surprised and impressed with the way Gabri played it was awesome!
He made a great goal but Wesley OMG that was sheer class I'm so happy he has decided to stay with us :mexican:
Arsenal won their game against Lazio so now it's up to us and Arsenal to decide who will win the Amsterdam Tournament. I'm going to watch the game at de Arena for sure.
Zlatan 03-08-2007, 04:28:PM Hey guys, just arrived home from the cold and rainy Scandinavia. Still had a great time though. God, I love these Scandinavian chicks. (H)
Anyway, I read in the newspaper today that the match versus Atletico went very well, that's atleast one good thing to hear. But from what I've heard in those 4 weeks I was absent, the only good news was that Wes promised to stay. Edje breaking his leg might threaten our chances of getting to the CL, but Slavia Prague or that sh*tty Slowakian team must be beatable even without the pitbull. I do hope we get a left winger to replace Ryan and Perez, otherwise we'll have to rely on Mitea (:\)

Hi Max! You followed the Tour back there in Scandinavia? Way better than preseason football :p
Zlatan 03-08-2007, 11:21:PM I did actually sporadically. In Sweden they barely spent time on the tour, I only got to read the results in a small column on the back page of the newspapers. In Norway it was live on television so if I had one to my exposal, I could see the stage. Fortunatly I saw the most important Pyrenees stages. But I actually found out Rasmussen was kicked a few days after all the world knew already, to give you an idea of how well I could follow it there. Same thing goes for the transfers of Ryan and Perez BTW.
To be honest, I think the world of cycling is getting a bit obsessed with finding doping-'criminals'. Vino and Moreni beeing kicked I understand. But the way Rasmussen was haunted after he got the yellow jersey...
Perhaps he's been a bit mysterical about his wherabouts before the tour, but that's no reason to kick him from the tour without any evidence that he used doping. Nowadays everyone is a suspect in Cycling, AAMOF it wouldn't surprise me if somewhere around these days someone throws up some kind of doping story about Alberto Contador, just because he's won the tour.
Silencer 06-08-2007, 01:21:AM Too bad we lost against Arsenal :( but we weren't that bad at all.
But we need more players because this selection is too thin like HtC said.
Hopefully Suarez will join us after tomorrow, will be a great addition to the team and tomorrow is the courtcase against Groningen.
Damn that van Persie  you can only admire a player like that :jap:
Johnny player of the tournament, let's hope it will be his season this year :D
AZ lost again btw with 2-0 against Middlesbrough (H)
they almost lost every game so far in the preseason games :P
EAT THAT VAN GAAL!
Silencer 09-08-2007, 05:17:PM LUIS SUAREZ TO AJAX AFTER ALL
WELLLLLL
This morning Suarez lost the courtcase against Groningen so it seemed like he was not coming to Ajax but just now I read on Ajax Netwerk that he's coming after all!!
It seems that both clubs reached an agreement, how much Ajax is going to pay for him is a secret.
If this is true he's allowed to play for us in the Champions League, Ajax will hand in the list with players tonight to the UEFA.
Another thing: Wesley and Ajax told the media that there was no contact what so ever with Real Madrid and Ajax will not cooperate with a move to Madrid. Wesley made it quite clear that he stays in Amsterdam. Come back next year!
Zlatan 09-08-2007, 05:34:PM Damn, that's a surprise with Suarez. Are you sure of this? Maybe Groningen wanted to get rid of him after all, because he wasn't going to want to play for them anymore.
Personally I think we shouldn't try so hard and pay 9 million or something, for a player that hasn't really proven himself yet.
EDIT: Yep, it seems to be true, VI.nl aswell reports he's coming after all.
Concerning Wes he said he will stay, so we'll have to trust him in that. But that's not 100% sure yet I think, if some big gun comes with a very big offer, than Ajax won't refuse and so will Wesley.
Silencer 09-08-2007, 07:08:PM It's official now, Ajax.nl reports that we contracted Suarez for 8M :| way too much if you ask me :boohoo:
Regarding Wes: No way that Ajax will let him go one week before the first Preround CL game against Slavia Prague and do you know a replacement for him cause I really don't :nape:
Let Real shop in their own grounds and leave our players alone especially Wesley WTF
PSVFOREVER 09-08-2007, 07:32:PM Good thing that his arbitrary appeal got rejected. This could've been a big blow for Dutch football in general (including Ajax). Our star players would be able to move for a small fee to the big European leagues.
So this outcome is probably best for all parties involved.
Zlatan 09-08-2007, 08:53:PM If we would have to believe Andy Webster it already is. But nobody seems to care about it.
We paid 7.5m for Suarez BTW. Still way too much IMO.
Silencer 09-08-2007, 10:05:PM It seems that Real Madrid made a bid for Wesley for 24M you must be f*cking joking surely? 4 more than Ryan Babel to Liverpool.
Wesley is a far more complete player than Ryan Babel and much more important to us WE NEED HIM THIS SEASON!
Ajax would be mad to agree with the sell one week before the most important games of the season :(
24M is too low, offer ten more and who knows, personally I'm hoping that Wesley will keep his word and stays with us but if a club like Real Madrid comes for him with a big bag of money who knows.. :boohoo:
Madrid is gunning for him since Chelsea is refusing the Robben deal :nape:
IF we sell him (and I hope to god we won't) then we need a replacement YESTERDAY but who on earth can replace a player like Wesley??
Riquelme?? he's only 7M so that's easy but like i said we have to do everything in our power to keep Wes :jambo:
Zlatan 09-08-2007, 11:07:PM I told you and I think the Ajax board will think 24 million is enough for Wesley. Wouldn't surprise me if he would leave after all, which would mean you can about count us out for the title race before it even started.
Silencer 09-08-2007, 11:13:PM Would Ajax be this damn stupid to sell our star player??
I'm sure they'll realise that we need him for the titlerace and the CL.
I would say NOT FOR SALE!
But like i said if we sell him we need someone else real fast but who??? :(
justhammy 09-08-2007, 11:14:PM It seems that Real Madrid made a bid for Wesley for 24M you must be f*cking joking surely? 4 more than Ryan Babel to Liverpool.

Wes is a big player in Holland, but come on, you are talking about him like he is the best player in the world. Ribery cost 25 mil. And dont dare to tell me that Wesley is anywhere near Ribery atm. Wesley is a beast, a superb player, but not more than 25 mil. Ajax got a fantastic deal with Babel (who is overrated, and isnt worth more than 12/13 mil) but dont take that as a standard. I really understand you though, because Ajax doesnt have someone who can replace him. They had someone, but he went to PSV and we all know that THAT was VERY stupid of Ajax. And I think that they are going to be sorry they sold Perez.

Tell me about it :(
One of the worst choices for me was to sell Perez that's for sure :boohoo:
But the board of directors only see dollarsigns and have no heart for the club bastards  Fontijn f*ck off and Jaakke go with him traitor!!
The only good man in the board is Martin van Geel, he has heart for the club so I'm sure he will think twice before letting Wes go and Ten Cate........he will never agree to it cause he wants to form a team around him this season.
If sneijder leaves it could mean at least 10 to 15 goals less :(
justhammy 09-08-2007, 11:41:PM Tell me about it :(

Well I think more than 10/15....he scores like 10/15 himself and gives like freakin 20 assists a season. It would be a big blow and will cost Ajax everything if they sell him. Real will have a great player in him. I wouldnt mind having him, but I completely understand you're worried. I dont see mitchell donald replace him. lol
Zlatan 10-08-2007, 12:10:AM We had no choice with Perez really, he wanted to leave himself because at the time it didn't seem as though he would be getting anymore playing time.
Oh and actually I do rate Ribery and Sneijder atleast the same. After all he's the one that almost single-handedly led us to the cup, the CL and one goal away from the title. Definetly worth 25m atleast IMBO. I'm sure that if Real comes with an offer like that both Ajax and Sneijder won't refuse it. But as I said it would blow up our season before it even started, cause I can't see anyone replacing him.
Hopeunited 10-08-2007, 03:37:AM And dont dare to tell me that Wesley is anywhere near Ribery atm.
Are you kidding me? "ANYWHERE NEAR"?! Ribery had a good World Cup, he showed flashes of brilliance in France and Turkey, but Sneijder has consistently been one of the best players in Holland and in the UCL whenever Ajax is involved. Surely the Dutch league's level is below that of France's, but superstars from Holland always go on to star abroad as well, especially someone with such consistent impact like Wesley. You cannot simply judge and say that Wes is not "anywhere near" Ribery.
van der vaart 10-08-2007, 12:13:PM Bad feeling about that Real thing..:boohoo: i hope they will sign roben (about 30mln) and will f*ck off from Wesley. About Suarez - i'm really glad to see that we signed him. we needed left winger so badly. now the squad looks completely finished (of course if we won't lose Wes). And 7.5mln for Suarez isn't too much if you ask me. after 2 years his worth will be double. this is our best signing this summer, no doubt for me
Silencer 10-08-2007, 04:23:PM I think the deal will be done soon :(
Ajax has confirmed a bid on Wesley today and also that he is very interested and he really wants to join Real Madrid so it's only a matter of time I think.
Mijatovic is in Amsterdam at the moment and Real is preparing a higher bid for him (around 28/29M) cause our Technical Manager wants the highest price for him and if not then no deal! But for Wesley's sake he's hoping the clubs can come together and as I understand it now Ajax is already in search for a replacement for a few weeks.
So I think it won't be Robben but Wesley Sneijder who goes to Madrid.
We will miss him very very much but everyone is replacable, he is also and we get a lot of money for him to get a replacement.
Still I'm hoping he stays but that's just wishfull thinking I guess.. :boohoo:
justhammy 10-08-2007, 04:41:PM Are you kidding me? "ANYWHERE NEAR"?! Im not kidding you. Im serious. Ribery played constantly fantastic at Marseille and was more than superb in the WC. I really rate Sneijder very high, but you gotta understand that its the Eredivisie. Ribery has the same vision and passing, but he adds perfect dribbling and speed to it. He is phenomenal. And he will continue to show that at Bayern. And I didnt say anything bad about Sneijder, I said that he is a fantastic player, but he isnt Ribery's level. And Ribery was 25 mil. Thats the only thing. I think that Real will pay more though, because Martin van Geel has said that he wants 30 mil and not less.
Silencer 10-08-2007, 04:48:PM Real needs to make a move fast, if Wesley plays for us on wednesday against Slavia Prague he would become useless for them cause then he's not allowed to play in the CL for Real Madrid.
Our coach already said to the media that he's planning to start WITH Sneijder so they better move in fast. "If Wesley is still with us, he will play it's that simple" according to HtC.

No offense but obviously you haven't followed the Eredivisie alot. Many people including people who hate Ajax agreed that Sneijder was by far the best player last season. I'm getting sick and tired of people assuming the Eredivisie is like second best to the Andorian first division when they don't even follow it. Don't talk about things you don't know.
PSVFOREVER 10-08-2007, 05:19:PM Well, the level of the Eredivisie is miserable really. Some mediocre Spanish team (Getafe) just brush aside midtable teams with ease, while they have started later than those Dutch clubs.
So who's going to replace Sneijder you reckon? Boussouffa?

Well, uhmm, I live in Holland and I do know where im talking about. I'v seen almost all the games of Ajax, PSV and AZ. I gotta say that even if I dont like Ajax I still think Sneijder was the best player last season. But dont say that the Dutch Eredivisie is sooo good. Because its not. Its an average league. Nothing more nothing less. But now i'v said it, Sneijder was the best, but that doesnt make him worth 30! mil! Come on! 25 at most, because a few weeks back he was valued 18 mil by Ajax.
Zlatan 10-08-2007, 09:21:PM Well my apoligees about making assumption to quickly than, but that's what you get when you don't fill in a location I guess. :)
Well anyway, Ome Henk seems to accept Sneijder is leaving. He says we'll be able to compete for the title and qualify for the CL without him anyway, but I must say I highly doubt that. He still isn't officially gone yet though.
justhammy 10-08-2007, 09:33:PM Well my apoligees about making assumption to quickly than, but that's what you get when you don't fill in a location I guess. :)

No problem ;) I think that there is a possibility that he leaves, and Henk is just using that to move the pressure away from the team. Because he knows very well that if Sneijder leaves that they are without any creativity in midfield.
PSVFOREVER 11-08-2007, 11:25:AM Apparently Ajax want our players Afellay and/or Aissati to replace Sneijder (N) Can't see it happening, although there is a small chance for Aissati I think.
Zlatan 11-08-2007, 11:42:AM That'd be intresting. But I don't think it's going to happen.
Zlatan 11-08-2007, 01:46:PM Guys, good news, I guess. Real Madrid has withdrawn their bid for Wes. At first Ajax demanded 30m for him. The board lowered this to 27m, but Real didn't want to pay more than the original 24m.
Wonder how Wesley himself will react to this, but than again he promised to stay so he can't go whine now. Still the 31st of August seems very far away...
Silencer 11-08-2007, 10:36:PM Well if HtC starts with Wesley on wednesday like he's planning to do than he's not usefull anymore to RM, I've read that Real is now gunning voor van der Vaart and that they are very close to a deal as well :o
Simple win against psv today for the JC but it was of no importance really, wednesday is the game that counts.
Good goal from Gabri again (he's on a roll these last few weeks), Rommedahl hit the post after he totally outplayed Simons :P
Hunter was very close to the 2-0 but Gomes kept his goal clean and I have to say with a brilliant rescue.
3 years in a row winner now our first price is a fact, hopefully one or two more this season :mexican:
Zlatan 11-08-2007, 10:38:PM Would be a good improvement for Rafael. But he and his family support Barca.
Silencer 12-08-2007, 03:36:PM Ogararu has sustained an injury yesterday :(
He had to go off because of a Hamstring injury and it's not sure if he can play on wednesday DAMMIT! :nape:
Tests will show how bad it is but he said 'it doesn't feel right' so that's not a good thing for us.
Btw Wesley was not even at the stadium yesterday but we cheered and applauded him anyway and the atmosphere was fantastic, full house lots of chanting and applauding :)
It seems we have an attacker from Peru with us for a week, Mendoza will train with Ajax this week to see if he can earn a contract or not.
Never heard of him really but again...our scouts know what they're doing, he played for Club Brugge, Olympique Marseille, Metalurg Donetsk.
justhammy 12-08-2007, 04:29:PM Mendoza was always very good when he played at Club Brugge. I remember him from that time. Never seen him again when he left Club. But he would definitely be a good one for Ajax. His only downside is his big ego. But maybe he has learned that off.
Zlatan 12-08-2007, 04:48:PM Guess we could have some die hard Peruvian Ajax fans on our hands here soon, guys.
Yossarian 12-08-2007, 05:32:PM Hey, guys. I was really impressed by your keeper...Skeletonburg(sp) at the AT tournament. He seems to have the perfect combination of athleticism/size and awareness and I was wondering how well you guys rate this kid and how much he might be worth?
He's got that Cech aura about 'em.
Zlatan 12-08-2007, 05:48:PM Stekelenburg has developed very well since last season. He's become a very reliable keeper but still isn't convincing in the air. I think he developed this well because he finally was the only number 1 in which the staff put their trust in. Before that he always had to fight for his place with other keepers.
How much he's worth, I don't know. But I think he has to stay at Ajax for one or two more seasons before beeing really ready for a big club.
Yossarian 12-08-2007, 06:01:PM cool....thnx for the swift reply, brah.
Yossarian 12-08-2007, 06:09:PM http://img516.imageshack.us/img516/543/huwelijkstekelenburg100rd8.jpg
What a pimp.....if that's his broad....she's dangdiggidy hot.......boy I'd like to clobber her over the head with a pair of steel toed clogs.
PSVFOREVER 12-08-2007, 08:43:PM Stekelenburg IMO finally is at a point where he doesn't cost his team points anymore, but is decent and occasionally wins points for them.
Silencer 12-08-2007, 11:37:PM SNEIJDER IS GONE! :( (N)
As of now he will be joining Real Madrid for 27M, I really hope they spend the money wisely on new players but it will be very very hard to replace a guy like Wesley.
All the best Wesley and thanks for all the good times, you will be missed :(:$
(sh*t i need a new sig now)

Hey guys, how good is Wesley? I haven't followed Ajax too closely since they had one of the best sides in the early 90's. For those familiar with Real, do you think he will solve the distributing creative mid problem we have? Questions, questions...
Silencer 13-08-2007, 02:57:PM Wesley is one of the best midfielders in Europe today, he's creative, he's fast and he has a golden freekick a bit like David Beckham it's his speciality and it was surely one of our weapons in many games!
Another thing that Wesley is very good at is scoring from distance, he hits the ball in a way that it's impossible for ANY goalkeeper to stop the ball, it swerves towards the goalkeeper and just when they think they can stop the ball the ball makes a weird turn or goes down really fast.
Sometimes he scores from impossible positions, he just looks towards the goal and kicks the ball from a high distance, in this way he makes the most beautiful goals like the one against Atlético Madrid at the Amsterdam Tournament two weeks ago.
He is the best man to solve the problem in your midfield I'm sure of that, either him or Rafael van der Vaart but I read today that Valencia is doing everything in their power to contract Rafael.
AJAXNEWS:
It seems that Ajax opened talks with RIQUELME to fill the position for Wesley now that would be a fantastic buy I think, he and another player will be presented by Ajax before tomorrownight so that they are eligable to play in the return against Slavia Prague in two weeks!!
But Atlético wants Riquelme as well, his salarydemands are huge but Martin van Geel says that this doesn't have to be a big problem.
Riquelme with Ajax, would love to see him in red and white :p and it seems that the man himself is flattered with the attention and he's seriously considering it, he loves the city of Amsterdam and Ajax is 'one of the best' he says.
Zlatan 13-08-2007, 03:01:PM Haha, OMG. I would completly go mad if that would turn out to be true... :D
But we certainly have to look in those type of quality players to be able to replace Wes adequatly.
Silencer 13-08-2007, 03:07:PM Can you picture it Juan Roman Riquelme with Ajax??
Seeing is believing is my opinion, stranger things have happened but I'm not betting on it. Your right though we need players of his quality to forget Wesley although he will never be forgotten for us of course.
I was very much surprised years back when Michael Laudrup signed for us so it can happen and with the scoutingsystem we have and Martin van Geel and Ten Cate..... we'll see tomorrow!
EDIT:
Valencia are dreamers, they really think they can buy Rafael for 14M???????????? that's an insult! :|

LMAO@ Valencia! vd Vaart is just as good as Sneijder, so they would have to up their bid with 13 more mil ;) LOL! Riquelme for Sneijder!!! Well that is.....uhmmm bloody fantastic for Ajax.
Zlatan 13-08-2007, 05:52:PM Valencia wanted to buy Sneijder for 13m, lol. So doesn't surprise me.
EDIT: I just heard Van Geel say on the Dutch Radio that he would not let anybody leave anymore. So that means Klaas, Johnny, Urby etc. stay. (Y)
Jaboldinho 13-08-2007, 07:27:PM SNEIJDER IS GONE! :( (N)

Just tell me what kind and I'll try. :$
Anyway, not so good trade for Ajax, unless they get some people to cover his position and for less money than they got for him. He really is one of the few ACM's who work hard and are ready to defend. Plus, he's really talented and still young. Riquelme would be good for you, but I think you shouldn't use more than 20mil for him, because he hasn't been THAT great lately.
Anyway, I hope you have a good season, and win the trophy. Aax has always been my favorite Dutch team. (Jari could have something to do with it. :mexican:)

Jari rocks, he's a legend to us fans (H)
About the sig, maybe one with Klaas-Jan Huntelaar or Dennis Rommedahl take your pick and surprise me ;)
Just read that Ajax contacted AZ for Harris Medunjanin :| They see in him 'the perfect replacement for Sneijder' WTFFFFFFF ARE THEY CRAZYY!!
He's ok but in now way you can compare him to Wesley come on Ajax
On tv i watched HtC and Martin v Geel talking to each other when the team was in training and they were heavy talks if you know what I mean ;)
It looked like they weren't seeing eye to eye :o
I say GET RIQUELME NOW!
Jaboldinho 13-08-2007, 09:22:PM I made you a little something:
http://img114.imageshack.us/img114/1049/huntelaarsig3xr9.gif
I hope you like it.
Azrael 13-08-2007, 10:29:PM WTF happened to Ajax? Sneijder has to be their best or one of their best players, why would you even consider letting him go, putting aside the fact that it was only for 20m, and he is worth more than that.
Good for R.Madrid, though, their best signing so far.
I hope you guys manage without him, although now that you're selling your best players, we wouldn't mind having Huntelaar at the Bridge.
justhammy 13-08-2007, 10:49:PM It was 27 mil. And come on. More than that they couldnt get anyway. Its just Real Madrid that pays such money (or Chelsea if they really want a player). Valencia wanted him too....they offered 14 mil, and they somehow agreed, till Flores said that he didnt want him anymore lol!!! So Ajax is happy(from a financial side) and Real is happy. win win situation, if Ajax can get a good replacement with all the money they have now. So its not that bad. (well it is, but its 27! mil and they can buy 2 great players with that)

You're thinking out of a big club with a lot of money perspective. Yet Ajax needs the money and players will always want to move to one of the big competitions because of better competition, more fame and better salary. So you can't just say: stay! cause they'll be angry and don't want to play anymore. Sneijder had his mind set on a transfer since the end of last season and I think he would refuse to play for us, or atleast with much aversion, if the transfer to Real failed.
Moreover 27m is about as much as we can get for him as justhammy said.

Yeah I think it's great but can you possibly add the Ajaxlogo somewhere?
Cheers very kind of you :jap:
BTW: Huntelaar is not for sale and the same goes for the rest of our players :mrpimp:
Zlatan 13-08-2007, 11:37:PM Yeah, Van Geel said on the radio today he would refuse any other transfers
Silencer 13-08-2007, 11:41:PM Yeah, Van Geel said on the radio today he would refuse any other transfers
Yeah i read it on ajaxnetwerk, curious to find out who Ajax will sign in the next coming days, van Geel was talking about maybe Mendoza and two others...??

Silencer 14-08-2007, 04:57:AM Latest transfernews hot of the press:
Some serious sources within Ajax report that Ajax is fishing for Motta, he can replace Davids now and when Davids stops he can continue to replace him.
Another name is a Portuguese player called Joao Moutinho and it seems that he and Ajax have already an agreement by mouth but Ajax wants to see how the thing with Motta develops because there are also a few EPL teams in the race for him and AC MILAN! My bet is that he goes to Milan and that we get Moutinho. Can somebody tell me who that is and if he's any good??! I know that he comes from Sporting Lisbon and they say he's a Portuguese Supertalent.. If that's the case I don't mind seeing him in red and white :shades:

Joao Moutinho is a super talent in FM, Zlatan would know that. (H) And we all know that FM is usually right...
Motta would be great though.
Silencer 14-08-2007, 05:11:AM Source (in Dutch), here you can read that Ajax and Moutinho already reached an agreement.
"Ajax wil Motta halen" (= Ajax wants Motta)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
13 augustus 2007
Zlatan 14-08-2007, 10:14:AM Joao Moutinho is a super talent in FM, Zlatan would know that. (H) And we all know that FM is usually right...
He was my star player when I managed Portugal for the WC 2010 in FM 2006. (H)
Anyway would be great, I think it's more realistic that we can get him than Riquelme for example. I don't know about Motta, Barca fans aren't exactly lyrical about him, but perhaps for us he would do good to replace Edje.
justhammy 14-08-2007, 11:52:AM I would get Moutinho over Motta any day! The guy is superb! He would be a great successor to Sneijder.
Silencer 14-08-2007, 12:43:PM Motta is not coming according to Ajax today, it's just rumours that's all so this could mean that Moutinho can come but another name circles around now. Riera from Espanyol is a new target, Ajax made a bid for 6M but Espanyol wants 15!! So the story continues......
Jaboldinho 14-08-2007, 12:56:PM Okay, here's the new version. Hope it's what you had in mind.

Yossarian 14-08-2007, 02:22:PM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mHLob2mFE1E
Why not consider signing King Recoba? He's in a bit of a limbo right now and would come dirt cheap. Plus, he could be a mentor to that Uruguayan kid you guys have.
Not the greatest of medical histories, of course, but in my opinion, he's a better overall footballer than Riquelme. He's a better natural athlete, equal in dribbling if not better, equal at playmaking and a bit superior in deadball situations, and a far greater striker/scorer.....even with his terrible injury history, he still managed to have a goalscoring rate of once every 180mins in the Serie A......and this is considering the fact that he was being mostly misused in the formation.
No better footballer out there than a King Recoba given consisten play, man
I'd rather masturbate to this......

Yes this is fantastic thanks a lot Jaboldinho I'm going to use it right away :bouncy::bob::$
Now on a more serious note Ogararu will be out for 4 weeks because of his Hamstring injury so he's going to miss the start of the competition and both games against Slavia :(
Zlatan 15-08-2007, 10:25:PM Wes-ley Sneijder! Lalalalalalala! Wes-ley Sneijder!
:(
Silencer 15-08-2007, 11:19:PM Boy oh boy did we missed him tonight unbelievable :(
Frankly I'm without words, the whole of Europe is laughing at us right now what a terrible terrible game this was.
Again we should've won with 3-0 but should have could have it's all the same sh*te :f***:
The chances we've had, Suarez in front of an open goal :| O M G
Huntelaar missing a penalty made it painfully clear that he's wayyyyyyyyyyy out of form at the moment. For me Suarez was the best attacker and Kennedy did ok as well. Heitinga :| such a dumb yellow card that was!
Anyway it's still possible but we have to win in Prague!
Hopefully we play better there than we did tonight, I went home during the 2nd half cause it was too painfull to watch.
Well I left in the 85th minute :$
SH*T SH*T SH*T :f***::s***:
Zlatan 15-08-2007, 11:27:PM Lol, yeah Slavia Prague... :|
Go ahead Cody, make fun of us...
Silencer 15-08-2007, 11:40:PM WTF happened, Slavia are a bunch of amateurs and divers :drevil:

PSVFOREVER 16-08-2007, 09:59:AM Well, we could use the extra money :p
Zlatan 16-08-2007, 11:39:AM Lol, I came home pretty drunk last night, after watching the game in a local cafe with some friends, so I couldn't really form an opinion(it remains to be seen wheter I could when I would've been sober BTW).
Anyway, I think we shouldn't be crying just yet, I still think even after yesterday's game we can beat them easily. But Van Geel better get some adequate replacement for Sneijder or otherwise we're going to have a real sh*tty season.
Silencer 16-08-2007, 05:45:PM Lol, I came home pretty drunk last night, after watching the game in a local cafe with some friends, so I couldn't really form an opinion(it remains to be seen wheter I could when I would've been sober BTW).

And an uprising to boot cause we as fans won't stand for that!
Me and many of my friends at the F-Side and Vak 410 will hand in our seasoncards for damn sure :f***:
So they better deliver (board and van Geel) and soon cause we are starting to get really pissed.
I agree though that we can beat Slavia easily in two weeks cause they are really a bunch of amateurs and we should've won with at least 3-0 yesterday.
Start of the competition this weekend away against de Graafschap, normally easy win so let's hope we at least will win that one cause next week Heerenveen WITH ALVES!
Silencer 19-08-2007, 02:40:PM First game and first win of the season against de Graafschap:
1-8 WIN
4x Huntelaar and one of them was a penalty (he's back!)
1x Kennedy
1x Suarez (and 3 ASSISTS!!)
2x Maduro (within 15 mins)
So we are in first place and scored 4 goals more than AZ, good start.
Luis Suarez showed why he was worth 8M what a fantastic player!
Maduro is fantastic, he is so calm when he has the ball what a difference with last season, scored twice in 15 mins when he came on the pitch in the 2nd half I'm glad he stayed with us :)
Bad again in the 1st half Urby, clearly he's suffering from the game against Slavia so that's why he was substituted in the 2nd half.
Just heard in an interview with HtC that Ajax is hoping to get Riera from Espanyol this week!!
The Interview is live on Tele2 so I'm heard it myself.
Well done lads, next week homegame against Heerenveen and then we have to set things right in Prague.
Zlatan 19-08-2007, 02:47:PM Guess who's back, back again, Klaas is back, tell a friend! (H)
Also good to see Maduro back in form again. His form has started to rise again since the Euro U-21 championships.
Let's just hope this brings us the confidence boost to beat Slavia. Shame De Graafschap managed to score one, but ah well you cannot complain with such a result. Well done, guys! (Y)
PSVFOREVER 19-08-2007, 04:46:PM 1-8 again? didn't you did that a few years ago too vs. De Graafschap?
Zlatan 19-08-2007, 04:54:PM I remember like ten years ago it was 1-8 aswell. The reason why I remember this is because van der Sar scored his first and only goal for Ajax. (H)
Silencer 19-08-2007, 06:13:PM I remember like ten years ago it was 1-8 aswell. The reason why I remember this is because van der Sar scored his first and only goal for Ajax. (H)
True they told this on Tele2 during the game when I was watching it as well ;)
We managed to score 4 more than AZ that's a good start cause if we learned one thing last season it's that EVERY goal counts :|
psv managed to win as well but they had it rough with Heracles during the first half and 010 won with 3-0 against Utrecht and of course Makaay scored but not as much as our KLAAS JAN HUNTELAAR who is topscorer with 4 goals after the first day! :bob:
Let's not forget about Suarez though, not 3 assists like I mentioned earlier but no less than 4 assists and 1 goal I say that's a good Ajaxdebute for this youngster ;)
Hopeunited 19-08-2007, 07:11:PM Lmao!!! (H)
Zlatan 21-08-2007, 05:24:PM VI.nl is reporting that Ajax has reached an agreement with Riera. They still need to make a deal with Espanyol though, but it seems likely he'll come.
If he comes, I'm not sure why we really need him now that we have Suarez. Well we'll see, he played very well in the UEFA Cup final I remember.
But he isn't exacly a replacement for Wes, so I'm still expecting something from our magician who's often referred to as Van Geel. Only 10 days left... :(
Silencer 21-08-2007, 07:43:PM Well about that last part I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you :|
About Riera, looking at our slim selection I would welcome him with open arms, sure we have Suarez and he showed why he should be playing with the first 11 but Riera is a great player and it's good to have a broad selection.
On the other hand I hope it's not the only buy like you said...we'll see at the moment Espanyol is being very hostile towards a transfer so nothing is sure yet.
Zlatan 23-08-2007, 11:00:AM Well Riera didn't come indeed, but it seems like we'll get another Spanish player anyway. According to VI.nl negotiations with Alberto Luque are in the final stages.
I think he would be a good addition to the squad. Though he completly failed at Newcastle, I really liked him as a player when he still played for Deportivo. Let's see how he does here. Still, I want a midfielder to replace Wesley though.
Silencer 23-08-2007, 02:57:PM Well I've just read that Martin van Geel and our director Maarten Fontein are both at Newcastle right now so I guess it's a done deal!
Otherwise they wouldn't make the trip (for nothing), funny though cause both psv and feyen.. wants him as well and again we are faster than them like the time when Jaap Stam joined us hahaha :p
Luque is a good player I hope he will fit in well in our system but that remains to be seen I guess.
Luque himself really wants to come to Amsterdam and not to psv and 010 (surprise surprise) because Ajax has a much greater name in foreign countries (what else is new)
I'm guessing later today or tomorrow they will announce the signing ;)
PSVFOREVER 23-08-2007, 10:04:PM PSV isn't actively trying to buy him anymore, so you weren't really faster than we were.

Crusad3r 24-08-2007, 01:14:AM Spanish papers reports Luque is signing for Ajax (for free).
Who is luque? 28-29 years old, OM or just forward. He did very well in Deportivo, being a key player when Deportivo de la Coruña was doing OK at champions league. He even played for spanish NT.
Then he signed for Newcastle (14-18€ m) but he didnt got many chances during 2-3 years, he was a bench player with no luck.
Silencer 24-08-2007, 02:08:AM On Ajax Netwerk:
"Albert Luque Martos is Ajacied"
Tomorrow they will announce it officially! :clapwap:
UPDATE:
This evening it became official, he's going to join us for 3 years and Luque will be presented on monday (Y)
Zlatan 25-08-2007, 01:59:PM It's official indeed. Good signing! (Y)

Hopefully not the last one this transfer period, although I fear that it is. :(
Silencer 26-08-2007, 09:15:PM Today we all waved Wesley goodbye and goodluck at Real Madrid and his words were:"I think in red and white and my heart will always be red/white and I will do everything to return here some day!"
It was a great ceremony and well deserved too.
Good win today against Heerenveen, last year we lost to them with 0-1 but now it was payback time!
We won with 4-1 after falling behind with 0-1.
2x Suarez (this guy is such a pleasure to watch and the 2nd goal was extremely beautiful)
1x Schilder (good goal from a distance)
1x Vermaelen (header out of a cornerkick)
In my humble opinion we should've won with 8-1 or smth cause we were so much better than them. Maduro hit the post in the first 5 mins of the game.
Bad news is that Gabri has a light meniscus injury and Maduro has a concussion :(
Gabri is a questionmark for wednesday against Slavia, Maduro is a NO.
UPDATE: GABRI IS DEFINITELY NO, within a few days an operation can be scheduled which means that he will be out for 3 months DAMMITTTTTT (N) WE NEED MIDFIELDERS AND FAST!
We have to win this COME ON LADS MAKE US PROUD!
Zlatan 26-08-2007, 11:52:PM Now Martin definatly has to sign a midfielder before the end of the transfer window.
No Wes, no Edje, no Gabri, No Wiges. Damn we're gonna get overrun by Slavia if this continues. :(
Proud of the win over Heerenveen. For a moment I thought it was going to be one of those days when we miss every chance we get and they score one lucky goal and win. But fortunatly thanks to Suarez(for the moment that 8 million is more than well spend) we got back on track and in the end won comfortably.
Hopeunited 27-08-2007, 02:30:AM Bad news is that Gabri has a light meniscus injury and Maduro has a concussion :(

That's terrible news. :|
Will Luque make his debut against Slavia Praha?
Zlatan 27-08-2007, 09:49:AM Nope, because he wasn't yet part of the squad when Ajax had to sign up all the players for the CL qualifying round. He'll only be able to play in the CL for us, if we win over Slavia.
van der vaart 27-08-2007, 02:33:PM That's terrible news. :|
Will Luque make his debut against Slavia Praha?
noup, he won't, but good news is that looks like gabri and maduro will probably be fit against slavia. injuries isn't so bad how it looked like :clapwap:
Silencer 27-08-2007, 03:16:PM Yep according to HtC he's counting on both of them against Slavia! (Y)
Grrrreat news indeed :D
Btw guys I'm a mod now so better behave :p :jacko:
<------------------------------------
Next time Cody comes here to b*tch about Ajax I give him a red card (just kidding Cody) (H)
rpvankasteren 27-08-2007, 03:29:PM Ah, so you're the sucker they baited into modding the FIFA 08 forum... (H)

lol, st. miechielsgestel...I played there once against your first team like 3/4 months ago. You guys have one freakin big field ;) (and one freakin hot girl behind the bar :evil:)
Silencer 27-08-2007, 06:13:PM Ah, so you're the sucker they baited into modding the FIFA 08 forum... (H)
Said one sucker to the other :drevil: :mrpimp:
btw you have blue balls :$:fluffy:
Hopeunited 27-08-2007, 07:10:PM Haha Silencer, congrats on your promotion. (H) Ban all gloryhunters please.
Zlatan 28-08-2007, 12:15:PM Looks like Wiges isn't playing tomorrow, he didn't travel with the squad to Prague today. Gabri seems fit to play though.
Come on guys! Tomorrow's the most important match of the season!
Silencer 29-08-2007, 01:05:AM This will most likely be the squad for tomorrow against Slavia.
Stekelenburg;
Colin, Stam, Vermaelen, Emanuelson;
Gabri, Suarez, Heitinga;
Kennedy, Huntelaar, Rommedahl
So we start with Rommedahl AND Gabri :jacko:
Very attacking with Suarez just behind Klaas
Hopefully Oga will be back next week btw :)
MAKE US PROUD!
mark77 29-08-2007, 02:36:AM Silencer with blue balls. Congrats! :D

i don't think that we should go with this squad formation in to the pitch. this is excactly the same formation with which we started with slavia in first leg and we know what happened. suarez isn't no.10, he plays best in his left wing. we should play with KJH, Kennedy and Suarez in front, how we played against heerenven and de grafschaaf. heitinga, gabri and probably delorge ( i heard he did queit well this sunday) in miedfield.
Silencer 29-08-2007, 10:28:AM Silencer with blue balls. Congrats! :D
hehe thanks we have the same disease now :D
About the formation, I think it's good enough to beat Slavia, they are nothing but a bunch of amateurs and divers and they were very very lucky 14 days ago after the chances we had.
I'm sure we will get many chances again tonight but this time 1 or 2 will go in and that's enough to qualify. That's all that counts right now.
Delorge did ok on sunday but not more than that, Rommedahl is more attacking so my choice would be him also.
Zlatan 29-08-2007, 12:23:PM Rommedahl played sh*t last time versus Slavia. And the last few weeks have proven that Suarez is much more dangerous when he plays left winger than when he plays as '10'.
Silencer 29-08-2007, 04:19:PM I agree but we should win either way I think, I'm so damn excited I can't wait :p
EDIT: I've just read that Davids flew to Prague especially to give our guys support and to cheer them on now that's what I call an Ajacied (Y)
Jan Vertonghen has been added to the squad by HtC, he will start on the bench.
Fingers crossed guys :s
Zlatan 29-08-2007, 10:25:PM Ouch
justhammy 29-08-2007, 10:33:PM Oei oei oei...
Hepoas 29-08-2007, 10:43:PM Hoho! How do you feel now?
Silencer 29-08-2007, 10:47:PM What the hell :gavin:
We played like sh#t and were fighting against ourselves :(
Good goal from Suarez though after the backheel from Klaas.
I'm sick to death right now so that's all I want to say at this moment it sucks (N)
Deisler 30-08-2007, 03:44:AM http://www.uefa.com/competitions/ucl/fixturesresults/round=15104/match=301276/report=rp.html
LOLzers. To think Huntelaar didn't want to join Bayern due to CL competition this season.
Silencer 30-08-2007, 08:48:AM http://www.uefa.com/competitions/ucl/fixturesresults/round=15104/match=301276/report=rp.html
LOLzers. To think Huntelaar didn't want to join Bayern due to CL competition this season.
To Bayern of course not!
Huntelaar is a player for the Spanish or maybe Premiership but not for a team like Bayern he's absolutely right.
Next year he will play for a club in the Champions League and it won't be a sh*tteam like Bayern, let's see who's laughing then besides BM didn't manage to qualify at all :monkey:
Fallen 30-08-2007, 11:47:AM Sad night for Ajax :(
Did Ogararu play against Slavia?
I'm sorry for you guys, maybe you can do something important in the UEFA Cup ... win it or something. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
Silencer 30-08-2007, 01:58:PM Thanks mate let's hope we do well in the UEFA like you said.
And no Ogararu is still injured but on his way back thankgod because Colin can't hold a candle to him :|
Ogararu is a much more complete defender than Colin is and we miss him dearly at the moment (especially yesterday).
I remember the game against Heerenveen last season (one of the last games) where he blocked EVERY shot from Alves which resulted in a substitution for Alves.
Oga is one of my favs (Y)
Zlatan 30-08-2007, 02:29:PM Damn I've felt sh*t all day. And to me it seems like this feeling comes back way too often lately, with the championship that we didn't get on one goal and last year's bad luck versus Kopenhagen cost us the CL.
It's ashaming we can't beat a club like Slavia, but to be fair they deserved it just as much as we did. It wasn't like last year when a stupid unlucky own goal by Thomas meant no CL, this time our opponent was atleast equally as good if not better. I can accept it better this time.
Damn, well let's look at the bright side, we can focus fully on the championship now. We should win it at all costs, because I don't want to go through these nervous qualifying rounds again.
Ogararu s*cks BTW, but we haven't got anything better. Why did we even consider buying a sh*tbrick like Colin who didn't even impress at Norwich? And that while we had such a classy and talented right back in Emmanuel Boakye who we sold for practically nothing to Heracles.
Silencer 30-08-2007, 04:00:PM At the moment Oga is the best we have especially compared to that ass Colin (N)
Did you guys see this already?
The Ajax Supportersclub fansite is down due to protest because we lost the game and it's shamefull they claim.
Away with Ten Cate and away with the board!
Well it's a black day indeed for us :(
That's a bit drastic IMO, Ten Cate should stay, it's not his fault that our best player was sold to Real Madrid but it was a collective failure from the team, not only HtC is to blame but JOHN JAAKKE SHOULD LEAVE!!!
Translation (roughly): We are unreachable/offline for 24 hours due to the disgracefull elimination yesterday against Slavia Praha.
Ten Cate failed again in qualifying for the 2nd time in two years.
http://www.plaatjesupload.nl/img16/1188480972-710.jpg (http://www.plaatjesupload.nl/bekijk13/-169520.html)
It even reached the newsprograms today btw.
OK enough of this sh#t happens, there are worth things in life like dying when your 22 years old and leaving behind a pregnant girlfriend.
Groningen at home on sunday is next so let's focus on that, nothing we can do about it anymore so UEFA it is no matter how f*cked up I'm feeling right now.
Fallen 30-08-2007, 04:21:PM That's sad :S
But i kinda understand you guys ... we missed 10 years from the Champions League, imagine how we felt. In 1990 Steaua was ranked 8th in Europe, it fell to rank 180 a few years ago :S ... now we're coming back there.
Every team has a worse period... don't worry, i bet Ajax will recover much faster than we have.
Go Ajax !!! Heads up!
Silencer 31-08-2007, 06:38:PM UEFACUP draw: DINAMO ZAGREB :o
Yet another Eastern European team :(
Our coach says we can beat them but didn't he say that last week also about Slavia? :drevil:
I'm not going to predict anything this time, we'll see shall we?
On the 4th of october we play at home and we as seasoncardholders can see the game for free as a gesture from the board toward the fans for supporting the team
More news: Luque will make his debut for us this sunday against Groningen and Ogararu is almost fully recovered from his injury (Y)
Vedran-10 31-08-2007, 11:14:PM It will be very interesting, Dinamo - Ajax.
Both teams have a good chance of going through.
btw if you're done with ten Cate, can you send him back to Barcelona, please? Thanks.
PSVFOREVER 01-09-2007, 05:56:PM ha. watched the match in a café (in the area of Westerpark) in Amsterdam with a lot of Ajax supporters.
I managed not to chear for Slavia though :p
Silencer 02-09-2007, 01:49:AM Ha you played like sh#t tonight against Twente I couldn't stop laughing it was terrible with the defense left wide open and the finishing was really poor.
you can thank Gomes for keeping a clean sheet.
If psv continues like this we won't have a thing to fear, feyenoord wasn't convincing also although they won the game.
I think you will be slaughtered by Internazionale, Ibra scored twice tonight :$
Btw guys did you see the goal from Babel against Derby wowwww beauty!
Silencer 02-09-2007, 07:10:PM Well I guess the blow of not making it to the Champions League is bigger then we thought cause we played 2-2 against Groningen today :(
2 great goals from Suarez and Klaas that must be said but we should've won it :S
Luque did ok for his debut but I expect more from him in the next games to come.
Next week VVV again at home, should be 3 points.
Zlatan 02-09-2007, 07:13:PM Well the other teams(except Feyenoord, but hey who cares about them? :p ) have dropped points aswell, so nothing to worry about yet. I think it was a fair result too.
rpvankasteren 02-09-2007, 07:36:PM *cough*
Zlatan 02-09-2007, 07:57:PM *cough*
Bless you...
Silencer 02-09-2007, 08:35:PM We play against Heracles away in two weeks on saturday not vs VVV at home, just saw it ;)
Next week Holland - Bulgary for the EK qualifications, let's hope our players stay in good health :o
Silencer 16-09-2007, 01:41:AM SC Heracles - AJAX 0-1
Terrible game we really played awfull but we won thanks to Klaas who scored a beauty with a bicycle kick :)
3 very important points, it doesn't matter how you do it, what matters are the points!
This week really tough week, it seems that Ogararu is injured again :(
Dinamo Zagreb coming up on thursday and on sunday AZ away :$
Let's hope for the best and also psv against Feyenoord on the same day.
Luque didn't impress me yet, but i'm sure he has more in his locker..
Zlatan 16-09-2007, 11:16:AM Beautiful goal by Klaas. He's really turning it on like he used to. Bicycle kicks are becoming a bit of a trademark of his I feel.
Awful play indeed but 3 points are 3 points and I'm afraid we'll have to be happy with that for the time beeing.
Luque had one nice action and shot yesterday. Shows that he has the talent, let's hope he's going to show it more soon. Tough week and if we play like we did versus Heracles I fear for Thursday.
Silencer 17-09-2007, 09:52:AM Yeah I know what you mean, Dinamo hasn't been beaten yet in the competition but then again the UEFA CUP is a whole different ballgame of course so we'll see how things will turn out. I'm sure Ajax don't want another f*ckup in European football and we don't either so they better reach the groupstages :f***:
AZ is not doing well it seems, they were two goals behind in Rotterdam against Sparta and only managed to get a draw.
I think we should be able to beat them in their own stadium but AZ is AZ so you'll never know, it was a big mistake to let Koevermans go and he showed this on saturday against Vitesse and Arveladze.....well he's something else!
Let's overcome the first hurdle shall we :$
Dinamo Zagreb away going to be tough and if it's a very tiresome game for the players it will have it's effect on the game sunday against AZ I'm afraid :(
But........let's stay positive (for now)
Silencer 20-09-2007, 11:36:PM YESSSSSSSSS good win against Zagreb tonight, very important awaygoal for us from Dennis, our defense was solid tonight against them it was great to see Ogararu back in the line-up he did so well tonight and you have to admit that one Zlatan :p Stam, Oga and Heitinga held our lines and the same goes for Urby who finally played well in a European game this season.
We should be able to finish it in two weeks and go through, it would be really really stupid if we won't manage but I have every faith watching Dinamo play. We can beat them at home (Y)
AZ up next on sunday! GO AJAX :clapwap:
van der vaart 21-09-2007, 10:57:AM yeah, bloody great result :clapwap: i have to admit that before the game, a draw sounded very very nice and i didn't expect much from this game. so this victory is even more sweaaaat  lets kick some asses in alkmaar now! :alex:
Zlatan 21-09-2007, 12:12:PM It's a shame to see us play 'result' football out of lack of quality. But it paid off. I think we were stressing way too much for Zagreb, they weren't as impressive as everyone made them out to be.
BTW did you too notice that we started playing way better when Suarez entered the fray? Oh and also an honourable mention for Gregory van der Wiel, he played very well alongside man of the match(for me atleast) Japie, on his European debut. Also good to see Maarten make such progress in goal, he's becoming more and more reliable and is forfilling the prospect of replacing van der Sar on the long term in the national team.
PSVFOREVER 21-09-2007, 06:48:PM Wow, loved the Rommedahl goal, the only thing he's good at (running, preferably without ball) actually made him score.
I'm happy Ajax won though. If you do well in the UEFA-cup, that's excellent (Y). PSV get all the money, and The Netherlands still get coefficients.
Silencer 23-09-2007, 06:45:PM MAARTEN STEKELENBURG MoM TODAY!! :clapwap::clapwap:
He stopped a penaltykick (again) and was very impressive for us.
Great win against AZ with 2-3 it's a pity that they scored in injurytime but we won anyway thanks to LUIS SUAREZ (2x) and HUNTELAAR (1x freekick)
where the 2nd goal from Luis was a beauty :shades:
Feyenoord lost to psv with 0-4 holy hellllllllll so they are not as good as they think they were
Perez scored twice btw :o
We are 1st in the league now with psv :alex:
This wednesday Dutch cupfootball against Kozakken boys, should be an easy win for us and next week VVV at home so it looks like another good week is coming our way (Y)
Very bad news also I'm afraid that Jaap is injured and Vermaelen also and it doesn't look good for them.
Vermaelen was on crutches after the game :(
van der vaart 23-09-2007, 08:36:PM great victory indeed! :rockman: thre away wins in 8 days. the fourth will be on wednesday :bouncy:
The man of the week - Steks!!! :jacko:
Zlatan 23-09-2007, 09:11:PM Yeah good game. o/ Maarten \o
Bit worried about the injuries to Thomas and Japie though. They've been the heart of the defense this season and we will certainly miss them. Fortunatly not very difficult matches coming up with Kozakken Boys and VVV-Venlo.
Zlatan 24-09-2007, 08:35:PM Hmm, damn guys. We're going to have to miss Thomas for two months or so.
Good news is that Stam's injury seems to be less serious and he will be back in a week time.
Silencer 24-09-2007, 09:38:PM Two weeks I'm afraid :taz:
Medical staff will try to get him ready for the return against Dinamo Zagreb, let's keep our fingers crossed :(
Tomorrow against Kozakkenboys in the first 11 line-up: Urzaiz, Luque, Colin, and even Erik Heijblok our third goalie.
Ten Cate takes this game very serious though:"we want to win every game!"
I'm sure we will, curious to find out how Luque and Urzaiz will play together :)
van der vaart 27-09-2007, 05:48:PM Kozakken Boys - Ajax 1-2 AET.
30'[0-1] J.Heitinga (pen.)
88'[1-1]W.Looijen
104'[1-2] D.Rommedahl
Lets never talk about this game..
van der vaart 27-09-2007, 05:54:PM PSV disqualified from Dutch Cup tournament
Although PSV earned an emphatic 3-0 win over Young Heerenveen on Wednesday night, they have been disqualified from the Dutch Cup tournament for fielding defender Manuel da Costa, who was not eligible after he had picked up two yellow cards last season. “This is so embarrassing; we can never justify this inexcusable mistake”, admitted PSV General Manager Jan Reker.
Da Costa was handed a one-match ban last season, after he had been cautioned during cup ties against Go Ahead Eagles and NAC Breda. Da Costa, however, was included in PSV’s starting line-up on Wednesday night, so PSV have been disqualified from the Dutch Cup tournament in accordance with the relevant regulations. The KNVB, the Royal Dutch Football Association, informed PSV of the sanction on Thursday morning.
“This is an inexcusable blunder”, said Jan Reker, who did not hide his embarrassment. “I have immediately taken the decision to alter our administrative affairs procedures. We will make a thorough investigation and believe me, you haven't heard the last of that”, said Reker who added he felt sorry for the players, coaching staff, fans and sponsors. “We always compete for silverware, so I really, really regret not being able to win the Dutch Cup this season.”
And i thought that we were the bigest joke of the evening! :hump:
Silencer 28-09-2007, 06:07:PM AZ has been kicked out of the tournament also :-paul:
They lost against FC Cambuur from the Jupiler League hahahaha Louis van Gaal fathead :junior:
Zlatan 28-09-2007, 07:58:PM So we actually did quite well versus Kozakken Boys, right? :p
Well atleast it shows it can always be worse. :)
Silencer 30-09-2007, 06:50:PM Just got back from the ArenA where we won with 6-1 against VVV Venlo.
In the first 4 minutes we came behind with 1-0 due to a big defenders error, Ogararu wasn't covering his man but we pulled back nicely with 6 goals!
1-1 Luque
2-1 Luque
3-1 Maduro
4-1 Delorge
5-1 Rommedahl
6-1 Huntelaar (of course)
Hunter scored 8 goals already, Suarez didn't score today but he worked very hard for others.
Johnny was MoM today and he did brilliant most of the game.
It looks like Jaap will be back on thursday against Dinamo Zagreb for the returnmatch :)
Bad thing today is that we lost Luque due to a groininjury after he scored twice :( and he won't be able to play against Dinamo as well.
Good news is that psv drew against NAC yesterday and that AZ LOST against Heracles :-paul:
We are alone on top now, scored 26 goals in 7 matches and we are by far the team who produces the most goals in the competition which is very important since we lost the Championship last season by 1 goal!
This was the man today, scored twice within 20 mins.
http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb138/SilenceNL/Luque.png
Zlatan 30-09-2007, 06:54:PM Damn, just when Luque was turning it on he gets injured. For a moment I was worried when we came behind, but he saved us with his 2 goals. Very well done.
And overall a very good week too. PSV drawing and AZ losing(again).
AZ is now already 9 points behind us. Seeing as last year the title was decided by one goal, this means alot already IMO. :D
van der vaart 30-09-2007, 09:29:PM We are alone on top now, scored 26 goals in 7 matches and we are by far the team who produces the most goals in the competition which is very important since we lost the Championship last season by 1 goal!
24 goals in 6 matches :) really shame that luque get injury. hope nothing serious. it was good practise today, before thursday..
Zlatan 04-10-2007, 10:03:PM pv5zWaTEVkI
Hopeunited 05-10-2007, 03:21:AM ..........
Unbelievable.
Silencer 05-10-2007, 09:22:AM We should bow our heads in shame this is a disgrace for Ajax :f***:
The team is not ready for Europe that's for sure!
We are the damn laughingstock of European clubfootball WTF! :|
Our coach has an agreement with Chelsea it seems and Martin Jol is linked to our club, I blame HtC for negotiating deals before this crucial game :f***: which resulted in this pityfull gameplay. I'm sick about it, f*ck this season all we can take is the championship and the KNVB Cup. Hopefully we can become champions and go straight to the CL next season but still a long way to go :(
Zlatan 05-10-2007, 11:43:AM Damn, I think we should just accept we're not even sub-top when it comes to international football. We're a grey mid-table club when it comes to that. Does make me figure though, with Wes would we have won? No, wait a minute with Wes we wouldn't have played this game, we would've owned Slavia Prague to death and would be playing CL.
Makes me wonder how it must be like to be a supporter of a club like Madrid. Can you imagine how easy and relaxed it is not having to worry every single f*cking year about your star player leaving. Cause suppose we would perform good this season, Klaas would leave, Johnny would leave, Maarten, Suarez everyone and we could start all over again. It feels like we're a little kid on the beach trying to make a beautiful castle out of the sand but everytime a big bully comes running over it ruining everything so we can start all over again.
Sometimes I wish I wasn't an Ajax-supporter, but it's the club I love and I will always support. They say support your club through the best and the worst time, but when was the last time we saw good times? It feels like we get nothing but sh*t the last couple of seasons.
Vagegast 05-10-2007, 11:46:AM Ten Cate already has an off-paper agreement with Chelsea to be their 2nd man behind Grant; Jol rumored as succesor... I don't see Jol happening unless Spurs find a very viable replacement there.
Adriaanse is apparently out the picture.
Zlatan 05-10-2007, 11:49:AM Frankly I'd prefer Adriaanse. He worked well with Van Geel both at AZ and at Willem II.
Vagegast 05-10-2007, 11:59:AM Except the top brass doesnt like him... press conference at the Arena in 30 minutes. Ten Cate is out.
Silencer 05-10-2007, 02:12:PM Nope he's not (yet), he said at the Pressconference that him leaving to Chelsea are nothing but rumours and 'fairytales' despite all the media attention he is denying the move to Chelsea.
Well we'll see how long that lasts :$
I think we hear more after the weekend, I think it's a done deal :o
PSVFOREVER 05-10-2007, 05:27:PM Geez, the one time I support Ajax they lose again. Ten Cate is totally incompetent in Europe.
Silencer 07-10-2007, 04:48:PM WTF 2-2 against Sparta :kader:
We were even behind two times!
But Hunter came through again with his ninth goal of the season in 7 games and a new kid on the block Siem de Jong scored the equaliser.
We already hit the post (Johnny) and the crossbar (Urzaiz) too bad but at least it's a point, always better than a loss but it wasn't good, far from that but after the blow against Dinamo who would've exected otherwise
Vagegast 08-10-2007, 11:07:PM Ajax is horrible.
Silencer 09-10-2007, 02:03:AM Ten Cate is OUT and on his way to Chelsea thanks for nothing Henk :kader:
Now we have to deal with the likes of Adri Koster as our new interim coach I'm afraid.. FU Ten Cate!
And saying Ajax is horrible...I disagree we had a bad week but we have to stay concentrated in winning the league and become champions no matter how hard it is to let European football go.
Zlatan 09-10-2007, 10:17:AM I feel like we have to get a good trainer now, because I don't see us making it to the title with a sh*tbrick like Adrie Koster who failed miserably at a small farmer club like RKC, don't even want to think how he will handle about the toughest job a trainer can get in our country.
Hopeunited 09-10-2007, 07:54:PM What a jackass. Way to be totally distracted for the crucial UEFA Cup qualifier, and then ditching completely in a week of crisis. HtC can go rot on the Chelsea bench with that big doofus Avram.

Hear hear, today he said that he's very dissapointed how the Ajaxboard behaved F OFF HtC it was YOU who negotiated with Chelsea last week when we faced Dinamo Zagreb bastard! He says that he wanted to stay on as our coach but I don't believe him. He wants Rijkaard and Huntelaar to join him there HELL NOOOOOOOO keep your hands of Klaas Jan untill next summer if the Ajaxboard agrees to that I will f*cking burn the Stadium down to the ground :-paul:
We had a rotten week, let's see how Koster will do, for now I give him the benefit of the doubt but if we keep playing like damn cowards I will hand in my seasoncard (N)
Silencer 17-10-2007, 12:54:PM Ajax is about to receive a big financial boost over the coming years.
As of july 2008 AEGON will be our new head (shirt) sponsor and this means an injection of 12 million Euro's per year!! :p
In 7 year we can get as much as 100 MILLION!! That's more than all the clubs combined in de Eredivisie. psv and Feyenothing can eat our dust where it concerns money for sponsorships.
Let's hope it will reflect on our games and with that money we can buy more good topplayers. Now Jaakke and Fontijn can piss off and my week has been made..
Strange to see Ajax no longer in ABN-AMRO Though :o
More news:
Stevan Jovetic from Partizan Belgrade wants to go to Ajax, he thinks it's the best gateway to topclubs abroad. Even though AZ wants him, Feyenothing wants him and foreign clubs his desire is to play for Ajax.
Partizan wants 15M for him and he seems to be a huge talent, but they don't want to sell him this season, only in the summer.
Let's see how this develops..
PSVFOREVER 17-10-2007, 10:19:PM meh, PSV'll make up for it by the yearly extra CL income. Feyenoord already ate your dust...
Silencer 18-10-2007, 01:39:AM meh, PSV'll make up for it by the yearly extra CL income. Feyenoord already ate your dust...
Clearly you haven't heard or read the news Cody, PSV will never make as much money as Ajax within the next 7 years...with all the bonuses and stuff we will make 100Million Euro's, let's see psv top that :o
And I'm sure we will play CL football in this period as well which means more millions. True feyenothing already ate our dust (time and time again) :fluffy:
This could well be our new shirt for 2008/2009

PSVFOREVER 18-10-2007, 09:53:AM nah, that star doesn't look right :p
Zlatan 28-10-2007, 04:48:PM Nice 1-0 victory over Utrecht today. First win for Adrie Koster. Klaas with the goal ofcourse.
Silencer 28-10-2007, 05:52:PM Yes very important win, Koster did well to send Luque on cause he gave the decisive pass to Klaas-Jan and what a coldblooded goal that was :bob:
We played as a collective and fought hard for the points.
Ogararu was fantastic today, really strong and almost impossible to fool and Gentenaar was a rock in goal although he almost made one stupid mistake.
All in all 3 points well deserved (Y)
Zlatan 29-10-2007, 06:42:PM WTF, guys? Japie stops with professional football as per direct.
This comes as a big surprise to me. This could well be a big blow to our league title aspirations. :gavin:

What a legend, though. Goodbye to the only player in our squad with real personality and experience together with Edje. Edje for captain?
Silencer 29-10-2007, 07:42:PM Actually I'm still in shock :( I can't believe this is happening and yes this is a tremendous blow for us guys. Good thing that van der Wiel is ready to take over but he is not nearly as good and experienced as Japie.
Japie thanks for everything you are unreplacable IMO, Edje for captain? Don't think so I think it will be Hunter since he replaces Japie when he's not our cap.
I was so hoping he could play against 010 :(
JAAP STAM WE WILL CHEER FOR YOU ONE MORE TIME AT DE ARENA NEXT WEEK!

van der vaart 30-10-2007, 01:59:AM Another sad day for Ajax.. And i thought that it was over with bad news. We lost great player, real leader on the pitch.. He played for us just year and a half but it felt like he was Ajacied for much longer.. Good luck Japie! we'll miss you..
Hopeunited 30-10-2007, 02:36:AM I'm here to pay my respect to the great Jaap Stam.
R.I.P. Jaap's illustrious career.
Zlatan 30-10-2007, 11:51:AM I think he thought he didn't want to be part of this mess anymore. Also his father recently died which probably made him think what he's doing this all for. He said Ajax was the best club in Holland and he was proud to play for us. That's it Jaap! Hail to the 'rots van Kampen'.
Silencer 31-10-2007, 02:21:AM Well well it seems that Martin Jol told the media today that if Ajax asks him to be our coach he wants to really consider it hmmm who knows. I think he's a whole lot better than Koster so I say bring him in! :shades:
Today Gregory v.d. Wiel will sub for Jaap against Heerenveen.
Hopefully we will perform well and beat them in de ArenA for the cup.
GO AJAX! :bouncy:
And some good news:
Edgar Davids is back in training and will make his return back to the squad probably within a few weeks (Y)
I think he will become our new captain as well.
Zlatan 31-10-2007, 02:40:PM Yeah, I say sign Jol now. I don't see us winning the title with Koster(certainly now that Jaap is gone).
Other intresting news: VI is reporting that we're trying to sign Aissati again. Last summer it seemed rather unrealistic that PSV would allow him to go, but he isn't playing much of late so maybe they will let him go in the winter. I think that would be a nice signing if it would happen, could be the replacement for Wes we we're looking for.
Silencer 31-10-2007, 04:17:PM Aissati is a great asset for any team and he's unhappy warming up the bench with PSV since Perez came.
But more interesting news is that Koeman resigned with PSV to go to Valencia as of today so if we want Jol we better move in fast otherwise they will sign him I think :$
50 bucks says Aissati will never sign for Ajax... he wants to go to a club outside of Holland..
1-5.
Vagegast 31-10-2007, 08:31:PM How does that take away from the facts? 1-5 what... ok we beat them. how many times have they beaten us in the past 5 years, how many times have they won the league. psv outdoing us isn't something new, its more than just a trend.. ajax fans need to wake up to the facts.. we've been doing horrible ever since morton olsen left.. we count ourselves to be the top of europe but we're having problems staying on top of our own league.. we've sucked for the past 8 years or so and i cant wait for the day where i wake up where ajax wins the league with ease, rules europe and does it with a squad that's made of players from our own youth.
if you are satisfied with ajax' performances lately, youre not an ajax fan.
