So, what do you guys make of it? I think it's a good idea, getting artists to make people aware of some of the world's climate changes is very important, but what I'm asking is whether you guys think it'll actually do something.
Nevertheless, there are some good concerts today :jap:
http://www.physorg.com/newman/gfx/news/earth12.jpg
fender 07-07-2007, 01:27:PM The London concert is the pick of the bunch.
Xuxa is performing in Brazil. :p
Yossarian 07-07-2007, 02:57:PM Did those two humanitarian/debt relief concerts for Africa make a lick of difference? Even a slight dent in the suffering and despair down there? These are of course just rhetoricals, you know? But....hmmm....WTF am I trying to say? I hate to be a cynic or a pessimist, you know? Because I try to look for the best in people and situations like these, but when the wealthiest ****heads with the biggest carbon footprint on this planet gather to spout and preach to me about causes that they themselves know little about and don't contribute much in reversing and correcting, I become disgusted and fatigued by it all.
I think that these awareness campaigns have a much greater impact if they're localized and brought about within a small territory, you know? The initiative and drive to make a change has to be genuinely generated by the individuals themselves first, without being guilted or cajoled by some ******* celebrity. Otherwise it just becomes a shallow and superficial little fashion statement that dwindles off as quickly as it came to you.
I like to think of myself as an environmentally responsible person, but am I really? I mean, I recycle, never litter....even the smallest of trash. I'd rather toss it into my bag or car and wait until I come across a suitable receptacle. I mean, I've almost come to blows with friends over littering, man. That's how much of a sin and a pet-peeve it is to me. But on the other hand, I often use my car excessively when walking or biking could easily be substitutes, I also let it idle often unnecessarily. Right now as I type, the AC is uselessly blasting in my room....it's not even hot outside. I could easily open up a window or two. The TV and the radio (the latter which is literally turned on 24/7 in my room) are both turned on. I left the upstairs washroom lights on.....also the kitchen's, which is unnecessary at this time of the day because of the amount of sunlight beaming into the house......what else.....hmmm. And of course the computer, which is pretty much turned on 24/7 aswell.
See? All those little things that I do which make me feel all righteous and good inside and all, are easily made void and worthless by these other counterproductive actions, you know?
Zlatan 07-07-2007, 02:59:PM Al Gore, saviour of mankind...
Anyway there's a Live Earth concert here in Amsterdam aswell. But no real good artists there anyway, so I'm not going.
Yossarian 07-07-2007, 03:05:PM LOL....is the Australia one already capping off?
Sheesh....I keep forgetting that those poor bastards are like a half a day ahead of us, man.
Anyway....decent concert. That Higgins broad was awesome.
Yossarian 07-07-2007, 03:14:PM that guitarist for Shakira....you can easily tell that he's boning/boned the bitch, man.
what a lucky, lucky man, man.
Load of ****.
Global warming is just more evidence that the left is very skilled in its use of propaganda. This political movement is one that convinced many that unilateral disarmament was the best way to deal with Soviet expansionism and just as many that appeasement was the sensible approach to combat Nazism.
Yossarian 07-07-2007, 04:08:PM ^^LOL......sheesh! That's gotta be a miscalculated troll attempt, no?
Tune out the message if you must, but there's no need to politicize and get all divisive about a harmless and thoroughly agreeable cause whose objective is to raise funds and educate the world's populace about the dangers of global warming, man.
Just try to enjoy the gathering and music, brah.
Yossarian 07-07-2007, 04:31:PM what, none of yer favourite bands not partaking in this event?
Yossarian 07-07-2007, 04:37:PM LOL.....this cat from Kasabian is doing what the English beautifully describe as 'taking the piss'
hurhurhur....."cmon, mates. Let's save the Polar bears and, and make it a betta place fo our children's children."
Johnny_Big 07-07-2007, 04:45:PM Here at Portugal our local emissor is doing a sh**** broadcast. Whatever, not really many artists I wanna see, just curious about what will Bloc Party play.
Filipower 07-07-2007, 04:47:PM yeah man, that Daniel Oliveira is way to nice(H)
in that no-way-he-does-that-without-drugs-or-being-gay way.
:(
Yossarian 07-07-2007, 05:02:PM I think that I'd rather hit Thandie Newton than Rihanna...just sayin, the bitch is keepin it tight.....also, whenever I see or hear that lisping bore, I just wanna hurt myself really bad.
sorta ruins it for me that he's the creator of this whole thing, man. But I promised myself that I was gonna enjoy this no matter what....even if it means being proselytized and tediously preached to by this ******* goof!
Yossarian 07-07-2007, 05:35:PM man, what a debilitatingly retarded band these black eyed peas folk are....sheesh.
Let's hope that the methhead wets herself.
wooot!

The words show me your tits just popped into my mind when she was trying to fill time. I'm such a perv. :(
Filipower 07-07-2007, 07:11:PM http://img186.imageshack.us/img186/9660/untitledwc7.jpg (http://imageshack.us)
hahaha, The Soweto Gospel Choir - Rock (H)
Avalanche 07-07-2007, 07:42:PM I'm also sure the eternally slutty Xuxa doesn't fall under the rock category as well. If anything, her genre should be "backstage entertainment", if you know what I mean. ;)
Filipower 07-07-2007, 07:58:PM ****, they're hoping for one million people in the Copacabana concert
Mauricio 07-07-2007, 09:34:PM Xuxa has great tits!!
Filipower 07-07-2007, 09:54:PM haha, duh :p
Yossarian 07-07-2007, 11:30:PM ooooh! So she's that outrageous children's show host that the Simpsons spoofed, eh?
Filipower 07-07-2007, 11:33:PM probably, she has a bunch of children albums and tv shows and stuff...and gets her pussy pounded on tape on the side
Kibe Kru 08-07-2007, 12:03:AM Xuxa... oh well, what is it that they want from these concerts again? having Xuxa there just takes away any credit they may get...
And Yoss, yes, she's the one the Simpsons spoofed
Yossarian 08-07-2007, 12:04:AM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9I7Df0VXCYI
^^^ LOL....forrealz? Wow. So in the morning she's teaching toddlers the alphabet and by evening she's a total sex fiend getting rammed up the ass for money?
Now that's my kind of woman, man.
Yossarian 08-07-2007, 12:16:AM hmmm....am I the only one here who would hit Melissa Etheridge......in her current post-cancer, slightly chunky and fanatically environmental incarnation?
And im not being deliberately shocking or irreverent here, man. I'd honestly throw this c/unt-bumper a f/uck if given the chance, man
Filipower 08-07-2007, 12:27:AM Dave Grohl is a ******* legend :rockman:
Yossarian 08-07-2007, 12:36:AM best set of the night so far along with the beasties? I'd say so.
I've seen FF three times live and they've been brilliant each time.....consistently so.
btw, are you guys just gettin the feed now over there in Portugal? They finished about an hr ago here.
Filipower 08-07-2007, 12:38:AM about the time i posted they were finishing they're act (at least on our broadcast), but it's probable it wasn't live
rony31 08-07-2007, 12:44:AM I only saw Akon in NYC and was disappointed that he didn't FU some kid off the stage again
Yossarian 08-07-2007, 12:57:AM ^^lol......he was reppin Africa. Didn't know that the faggot was from there, man.
-GOD is Alicia Keys astoundingly beautiful......sheesh!
-Rachel Weisz too
-LOL@ Jane Goodall's monkey noises
-Joss stone....what a fox....I repeat.....WHAT A STONE COLD FOX!! Man, there's just something about broads who sing in barefoot that makes me want to break my Cock in half.....btw, is she even a good soul/r&b singer? I honestly can't tell, man.
Filipower 08-07-2007, 12:58:AM she sings? damn.
Yossarian 08-07-2007, 01:15:AM ^^ my exact sentiments, brah. She's treated as this genuine and authentic musician whose way-beyond-her-yrs voice is gonna be the saviour of that genre, you know? I mean, she gesticulates a ton and accentuates all the key phrases.....*the ooooos, the ahhhhhs, the baby, baby, babies* and all the other gestures that folks of her genre are prone to......so I guess it's safe to assume that she's legit, right?
Filipower 08-07-2007, 01:27:AM absolutely, but damn, would i....
you reckon she looks better blonde (http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r76/mokhal/joss01.jpg)or brunette (http://skinindex.com/archives/joss-stone-bikini-10-thumb.jpg)?
^^LOL......sheesh! That's gotta be a miscalculated troll attempt, no?

Man induced global warming is a fallacious claim by the left.
Climate change is a natural phenomenon and over the course of the earths billion year history, the climate changes over periods of time. The next twenty years using past fluctuations as a guide will be .5c to 1c colder than the past decade. When these musicians who would emit more CO2 (not as important in the atmosphere as Al Gore would lead you to think anyway) than almost anyone else on the planet, tell us to be environmentally aware, it makes me puke.
Kibe Kru 08-07-2007, 12:47:PM ^^^ LOL....forrealz? Wow. So in the morning she's teaching toddlers the alphabet and by evening she's a total sex fiend getting rammed up the ass for money?
Now that's my kind of woman, man.
Heh, she's been in a paedo movie (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0083552/), in which she makes a 12 yrs old guy grab her boobs and uh... play.... with her... That movie can NOT be sold in Brazil as her former manager holds the rights to it..
She also famously dated Pele and Ayrton Senna, of course because they were nice people and not because of their money....
Yossarian 08-07-2007, 03:05:PM ^^ cool.
Allow me to get blasphemous for a moment, please.......Barrichello>>Senna
absolutely, but damn, would i....
you reckon she looks better blonde (http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r76/mokhal/joss01.jpg)or brunette (http://skinindex.com/archives/joss-stone-bikini-10-thumb.jpg)?
hmm......that's an interesting question that you pose, brah. See, I've never really been too infatuated and obsessed with hair, man. Their head of hair can be faux-blonde, real blonde, faux black, real black, puke green, short, long, or even baby ass bald, you know what I mean? So long as their lips, be they mouth or vaginal, are tightly wrapped around my dick...sall good, brah.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XsUTNYpRfWM&mode=related&search=
BADASS! Kirk tagging one of Hendrix's most beautiful pieces with possibly their most beautiful work.......nice touch!
-Joss stone....what a fox....I repeat.....WHAT A STONE COLD FOX!! Man, there's just something about broads who sing in barefoot that makes me want to break my Cock in half.....btw, is she even a good soul/r&b singer? I honestly can't tell, man.
(Y) totally whole heartedly agreed with ya there. Bitch is damn hot. I would lick and slide my dick between those legs and toes anyday of the week.
PSVFOREVER 11-07-2007, 07:46:PM Stupid concert. Gore wanting some media attention again. We shouldn't worry about this climate change, but rather on some real environmental problems... Why is it never mentioned that the current temperature is still lower than it was for millions (billions?) of years before humans even started burning a single tree.
I think we humans are overestimating ourselves again. We think we can (massively) affect the environment. The nature still is a whole lot stronger and there were way bigger changes to the climate without any involvement of mankind.
So please Gore and all his minions. Shut up.
Concerts were probably poor as well, but that is a whole different subject.
I have no doubt global warming is real man. Al Gore didnt need to tell me that.
Filipower 11-07-2007, 08:32:PM al gore this and al gore that but if the dude ran for the white house next year he'd win
paoplayer13 16-07-2007, 05:45:PM i think bringing any kind of awareness will help a situation
Yossarian 16-07-2007, 07:16:PM (Y) totally whole heartedly agreed with ya there. Bitch is damn hot. I would lick and slide my dick between those legs and toes anyday of the week.
so you've got a foot fetish aswell eh, brah? NICE!!
I like it when a woman walks all over my back....barefoot.....and with her stilettos on too if she's on the Lara Flynn Boyle side of skinny, Or when she violently kicks me on the outside of my quads with the middle of her foot.
I also enjoy licking/sucking on toes like an uninhibited faggot too.
I haven't yet been able to convince a woman of this, but I'd really like to f/uck a broad with my toes someday, man....maybe even go ankle deep on the bitch if her vag will allow it.
Yossarian 17-07-2007, 03:55:PM Stupid concert. Gore wanting some media attention again. We shouldn't worry about this climate change, but rather on some real environmental problems... I understand where yer coming from, brah.....I suppose. But how long have humans been around? 150-300 thousand years? The Earth wasn't even habitable for humans millions of years ago, man, so what does it matter what the temperature was back then?
Now I realize that Nature itself can cause some of the worst disasters, but that doesn't mean that we should be defeatist and apathetic about the whole situation and just say "Oh, why bother....it's way to far gone, and anyway, Nature can only correct Nature". We shouldn't be so obstinate and obtuse in the face of both massive scientific evidence and everyday manifestations of environmental issues, man.
Why do we have to go to great lengths delaying and denying unwelcome truths of our human engineered climate alterations and perilous damage to the environment, man? You've got the permafrost starting to melt for like the first time in all of human civilization, weather patterns in rain and snowfall being drastically altered, artic ice melting to the tune of hundreds of millions of acres in the last three decades....nevermind the ozone hole getting bigger by the minute with the amount of carbon emission we're pumping into the atmosphere, you know? And natural disasters are alsoc increasing both in frequency and size......these in my opinion aren't the fault of nature but the avarice consumption and pollution of mankind.
I mean, honestly, being from Holland and all, yer telling me that you're not at all alarmed by the potential of the water rising and causing devastating floods? You can't just disconnectedly sit back and wait for an apocalyptic event and then proclaim..."AHA.....see? I told you that nature would someday outdo us in the destruction of the planet"...............
btw, I despise Gore about as much as you do, if not more, brah, but that doesn't mean that you should be opposed to a crucial cause and spite it just because there's one hypocritical ****head hijacking it and using it as a platform for political spotlight, man.
