Looking for a new challenge I decided to manage Sporting Lisbon. Its not a bad team, but the money I get from sponsors is quite low and the team seems to be stuck at 3.5 stars.
What should I do to get more money? My stadium manager is at 7 but to upgrade him, I would need to play 4 seasons without spending any money. And i must ask, if it's even worth it.
So basically I'm looking for a way to bring this team to the next level and make it attractive enough to sign big name players.
Should I invest my money on a better negotiator? Or should I upgrade all my staff first? Or get a better scout?
Trading players does not look like a viable option because at this point, I need to spend a lot just to buy some decent new players.
Right now I'm, just frustrated. My team is winning a lot of games but they are not growing and I'm not getting any offers to manage any other decent teams. Winning alone is not doing it for me.
Any tips would be appreciated.

No tips? That's great. Guess no one here plays this game in manager mode. Either that or everyone just picks the big clubs.

Let's be honest, you're problem is realistic and probably a problem that the club has in real life. My strategy is to try and sign plenty of young players, upgrade coaches as much as possible so that these players can grow to a level that they can really help my team win some tournaments, and possibly make me some cash when I sell them.

try with some of the tickets price patchs around, i heard of one that sets realistic and decent amounts of money so you can improve coaches and also buy some decent players..

What should I do to get more money?
The only realistic way to increase your budget when playing manager mode with a lower ranked team is to acquire (young) talent and then sell it on. Those players might come from your youth academy, scouting or from the free agent market, and they might have to be allowed to mature for a season or two in order to improve enough to fetch a reasonable price, but it is certainly possible to bolster even an English League Two team's coffers that way.

You can sign big name players to any team, but the cost might be prohibitive.

If you are going to be signing new players to your team then that will certainly help reduce both the cost of signing from another team and the wage demands of the players themselves.
should I upgrade all my staff first? Or get a better scout?
Apart from your stadium manager it pays to keep most of your staff levels within a couple of points of each other as there seem to be a lot of subtle problems that arise if they get too far out of step. If you are not going to use scouting to find new players then you could let your scout languish behind the other staffs, but the outfield position coaches and the medical staff are important for player fitness and the position coaches also help your players to develop via the match XP system. However, be aware that there is a problem with the match XP system that results in all player improvement data being reset every time you sign a new player to your team (from whatever source), so in general terms you can either develop an existing group of young players or regularly sign new talent to bolster your squad, not both.

Getting to the point of receiving worthwhile offers from elsewhere can take several seasons, but you have to decide in advance whether you prefer to develop your current club or simply use them as a stepping stone to greener pastures, because the strategies are likely to be different.

Or better yet, don't. Most such 'patches' come with undocumented side effects that will bite you somewhere down the line.
