we make an 'superpatch' called, world of fifa

it should, basiclly include everything made here, plus stuff from other forums

kits,balls,boots,adboards,stadiums,database,faces etc.........
around the world, difference is that

take for example, someone is making a portugesee bwin liga patch, now instead of simply releasing that, and requiring everyone who wants to use it to reinstall their game and just use that ONE patch. they should send it to us as an add on, and so.

so we have an patch with incorprates everything we need!!!

The idea wasn't really bad. But shouldn't we wait until FIFA 08? I mean, until we know how many things we can do with the new FIFA without crashing? However, it's a good idea.

That's why I did it in 2006 without asking anybody but putting them in the credits, I said **** their egoes and let's publish something the PES peeps are doing for years now for the good of the guys who haven't got the time to hunt forums and sites every day to get the latest stuff for their game. Pretty unselfish idea, but instead of thanks (well I got some) I got tons of hatemail lol. Since then I said screw them, thay ain't worth my sweat anymore lol.

it's just a strange thought that people who make graphics and stuff and post it in a forum so that other people can use it, don't want the same people to use their stuff merged with other stuff in a patch. it's fear of not getting enough attention i guess.

This, as I said is a fantastic idea and all of my work is available to you of course. Please credit all of the kitmakers I have listed on my first page though.

I will certainly help with some of the diplomacy issues getting users to allow us to use their patches... If nothing else we can start small, release whatever leagues we have permission for and then get to work trying to make many others.

If anyone wants to take over, or thinks they can do a better job on this patch, go on, please

we need to get it into certian peoples thick heads that working together means a better fifa, and in general a much easier life

i actually at the pooint where i hate patching, its annoying, every so or so days im editing the db, adding this, that or the other, the furthest i've ot in season mode is season 3 (this is when i first got the game

what we should aim for is the pes superpatch, no need to scour forums, spend hours modding things together. everything you need is there in one patch

if someone uses my work in their patch, i would personally fly over to where they are and kiss them, i make kits becasue i like using photoshop, i like kits, i love to help other people

the idea is,

1. Kits: evey kit for each team done, looking realistic including gk kits for every team
2. Boots: Keegan
3. Adboards: Give every
premierleague
seri a
la liga
ligue 1
bundersliga
eridivise
Bwin liga team their own adboad

then we could work something out between the rest depending on hw much space is left

4. Balls: correct for every league
5. Stadiums: there are so many out there, the limit is 255 i've heard, just make sure we have enough to fill all those slots, imo its the first stadiums we could get our hands on
6. Squads: keep them up-to-date, add players ea forgot to add, realistic ratings

ok now
7. Leagues:

Make sure we have
Greece, Argentina, Romaina, Russia, Ukraine, Israel, Croatia, Japan?, Chile, Serbia, Hungary made and in the game

then i think we culd go on from there, if some say wants the malta league, he could create that send it to us and we'll us it as an add-on

8. MISC: ill do menu arts etc..., new music to suit you.

new scoreboards etc......


9. Sound: basiclly we should organise the sound,

National teams sounds
Best club teams sounds (liverpool, barca etc........)
europeian sounds etc.......

soundpack should be seperate, you can change what sounds you want to suit your team


thats the plan, it isan't that hard at all, just getting someone to organise it all

To be honest I think the most important thing is to speak to the makers of each league patch and try to include them. Getting all of the leagues into one mega patch would be the best place to start. A CMP alternative to CEP is a great place to start. That's just my suggestion.

Rinaldo has expanded the stadium possibilities ...You can have up to 512 stadiums now...Check his thread to download the last beta version of CM (Y)

I don't think an organized staff is needed... Organization will give some leaders who will react like the CEP staff and ended with some crypted stuff. ( and not democratic behaviour )
We just need a kind of free supermarkt where all the posters agree to share FREELY their work with the others ( including the risk to see their work " stolen " by others )
... Fifa is A GAME and nothing serious...I think we all agree
After all editing the game is not authorized really. Only EA has the right to make official modifications and they are kind enough to let us do it. ( I have worked for them a bit so I know the agreement )
As an ancient member of this forum , I'm really glad to see that some new guys here ( Biebrich,Snopff, myx & mrliioadin to name a few ) bring fresh air here...

ok in his thread we list the people involved in this patch, its a loose agrement, you dont have to slave yourself to this patch

e.g. jus leave your name here and we would be able to use all of your stuff in the patch

I can Help on the patch,I have done every bwin flags,the logos,adboards and kits

I"m interested in helping out but I am limited in what I can do just because my national teams really aren't finished yet. I need to continue to work on the rosters there and really get them much more believable before I take on anything 100%.

That said I do still want to help out. Something like the FIFApro license might not be a bad idea. Create a type of a agreement that any editors who are interested sign that would allow us to use all of their stuff. The more editors that sign on, the more stuff we can add in.

This would be a massive project, It may be best to start small. Let's see who's interested and start releasing some stuff from each of them so we can get the ball rolling. Hopefully by '08 we'll have enough that very little 3rd party patching will be needed.

I am in!...and i believe that a roster update for the major leagues by late September early October,it will be a very nice start...
Another idea:get serious patch makers and their sites to publish and post their part of the patch,at their own sites...
example:fifamania.it superpatch!!it will be great to have an .exe version for people who wish to have only the Italian updates ,
but also the .cmp version compatible with the "WORLD OF FIFA" megapatch,uploaded at their site so they don't loose visitors....
and keep here this thread for reference,linking and posting of various things...

My thoughts :

- Don't include too many leagues as the more you add the more people to update are needed.

- release as much as possible in .cmp format in this aspect you could make a base patch that could be expanded freely with the content the end-user wants to have in his game, this is a big advantage vs. patches that include a zillion leagues but people are only playing two or three in the end...

- No hierarchy is great, make it open source but dont make it anarchy, still have about five or six people (the guys with the most free time or the most motivation) centralise everything and discuss what can be included, ect...

- Give no release dates, just a general idea when you think you'll be finished and add two months, you'll see, with a bit of luck you'll make it in time then. Don't underestimate the work involved.

- The base for the patch should always be the data, people tend to download a patch more for the rosters than for the fancy graphics (f.e. what use is it to have a great Saviola face and a great Barça kit if he's still not transferred to Real Madrid in the roster?)

Those were just my random thoughts, don't take these too seriously either, just get a bunch of motivated people together, work together, don't let discouragement get to you and have fun, good luck!

Also You can have all my soundpacks to include or release as an add-on, just my name in the credits (and no it's not zefilio) will do. I also made some flags for little teams (mostly Serie C1 and C2) which can be found in the 06 forum somewhere, you can have them also.

I don't have the real life time anymore to put many time into editting, sometimes I don't even have time for playing anymore but should I make something new I'll make it available also.

I tend to disagree that we shouldn't add too many leagues. I think that's what this really should be about. Eventually I hope we can have at least 10 leagues or so from every confederation. Maybe with the exception of the OFC which just New Zealand would probably be good enough in the short term.

We can't be all that far from it but we'd need a few more from Asia, Africa, North America, and South America.

I'm not much into club football but it'd still be great to get a ton of leagues in. Plus in many cases, getting the leagues close enough to correct is good enough in the short term.

i think the most important feature a patch could have is an updated database

i mean, i don't really care if i don't have real flags or adboards for spanish segunda division (for example)

also, i'd like the important leagues that EA ignores for license issues, such as greece, argentina or russie (not really sure if it will be on the game)

also, i'd love to have as many national teams as possible, i'm a huge fan of international games
mrliioadin patch for national teams is lovely but i don't really like the division of "leagues"; i'd rather have them all in one league call FIFA National Teams (don't really care if it takes 10 minutes to get from andorra to morocco)

but well... those are my two cents...

Most people want this, European Leagues (Champions and UEFA) are played and like to all people, but a REAL world Patch include a Leagues and tournaments for All confederations, i think we must work in this form:

Level 1 FIFA Club World Cup Tournament

Level 2 UEFA Champions League and UEFA Cup
Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana
CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup
AFC Champions League
CONCACAF Champions League
OFC Champions League

Level 3 Most Complete leagues as possible for each Continent and (Spare teams that played continental tournaments and not exist a complete league patch)

Level 4 National teams and all tounaments for this (Mr Lioadin start a thread for this, i see a lot of post requesting kits, flags and other stuff) i think should make patch teams.

In the next days i will start my thread releasing 32 teams for African Champions League, for this i receive help for many people (Calvarez, kitmaker; myx, minis, logos, banners; Snoppf1, Generic gk kits)

Exist a lot of examples for good patches:

I think, Bwin wil be updated until september our october, so i i think we can add the liga Vitalis,we take all , the roster and kits for bwin

Calvarez, myx, lemmonman31 and me are near of finish the next stuff:

And i have 80% of database for next Leagues (I need help of kitmakers and minikitmakers)
South African Premier League (16 teams and 2 tournaments)
Egyptian Premier League (16 teams and 2 tournaments)
Algerian Premier League (16 teams and 2 tournaments)

In project two more leagues (Ghana and Tunisia)

For national teams i can work with Mr Lioadin for update rosters and any info needed.

I think what you are doing is fabulous. I am working on patch (for myself) with all the MLS clubs as well as USL 1 and USL 2. I have most of the rosters updated (with the help of people like GutBomb and Donovanfan3456). I have also used a lot of the kits and mini-kits from the people on this forum (walrus, charly325, pkbomb). GutBomb has okayed the use of his information for others to build upon. If you would like my cmp of the compiled work, I would be more than happy to share. Again, I claim no formal ownership of kits, banners, or ideas. I only have compiled info and made roster adjustments through transfers or creating players that I was going to use for my personal game. As most of the kit makers have signed on to this project, I am confident that I will not overstep my bounds by offering their work in a updated league cmp. However, we may want to try to get Donovanfan3456's approval for use of his work in a broader patch.

Also, as far as stadiums go, keep in mind that some stadiums (like Rhein-Energie for FC Koln) can only handle 1g items. I would suggest either, making all kits, banners, adboards, balls, and faces for all teams 1g or not include those stadiums that can't handle 2g items.

I can help with chants. I am working with Esterry in the chants addon for CEP.
I have currently more than 10gb of chants for lots of leagues. (They are in wav, in asf they will be much smaller):)

If needed i can convert the minikits from FM to Fifa format. I think this will be usefull for smaller leagues.

I usually ok for people to use my stuff, BUT i prefer permission with at least a description of what and where it will be used. I do not release my stuff to be used with CEP at the moment.

First of all, then we will start we need to know objectives...

1. Add leagues from patches and additions.Update them date to date
2. Unify all patch...same logos, minis for all teams not like in CEP
3. Search for people in countries to update their leagues.
4. Release as .CMP too so people who don't want Malta or ex Cyprus leagues will not put them in their game
5. Make also quick installer for some reason.
6. Have a good understanding of each other, no hierarchy, no leadearship.
7. Use stuff on forum much as we can
8. Pay peaople attention on patch, becose its everyones patch

basiclly they should be organised into.

international teams chants

europe club teams chants

south american club chants

before you play, you install what sounds you want, there is not enough space to fit them all in

team like fenerbache etc.. should have more chants than arsenal.

in the captain don't see a arms with the captain badge...

but 06 model is compatible, only one problem... the gloves in winter mode...
all players have Goalkeeper glovers... If the kit master 08 don't realease this year in my classic patch I use the 06 model...

For South American leagues check Fifa argentina. They will release "Las Americas" patch V2 in 12th september which inlcudes all south american leagues.:hump:

hmmm..now i'm collecting graphicks over the forum and making some list...also, i think we will need to wait fifa.fat expandation, becose i tried to do that, but uselessly...it don't work. So i think this pacth can born without CM08, but i think he will help us a LOT. thanks :)

Myx, you are the man, i've made an CMP of the Servian Premier and First division League downloaded on Fifa Serbia, i will uploaded them in 1 hour. Maybe it's helpfull for you/us.

Croatian and BIH Leagues are 70% finished. It will be better that we insert 2G Kits, Flags... in all first leagues. 2G graphic looks better.

It is a cmp patch. Also I know someone's made the Uruguayan league, I just don't remember where I got it from.

Remember we have to ask everybody's permission to use the patches, we don't want trouble with credits and stuff

is there any way possible you could increase the aggressiveness of the AI? I dont think i have EVER gotten a free kick near the box. so unrealistic. Or will this be added in the "gamplay" heading?

when i finish it i will release a .CMP of it. im gonna be busy now since school starts again for me tommorow (college :( ) so check my NASL thread once i awhile. so see how its progressing already half the league has kits mae for them (some of those 10 are missing GK kits). so its going pretty well.

but yes you have my permission to use the NASL in your uber patch. but you might have to ask ashman and sam for permission for the kits. to be used in your patch. they know i'm using them for my NASL patch but let them know you plan on using the NASL league patch for you uber patch.

i don't know mate, but we done a lot of progress, now i'm working on Russian Leagues. Baltic Leagues are done, simo_yes is make aussie league kits, i'm contacting FIFA Korea ,FIFA 4 Fans, FIFA Bulgaria and Outsider87 also i'm adding a lot of other stuff at fifa, lord spawn is making African Nations Cup, i would like to have Copa Venezuela converted from FIFA 07 by VM. Actually I could, given that i've updated almost every aspect of my game. Only K-League is left to be updated.

Balls, addboards, flags, boots, sponsors, managers, faces...you name it...all been updated. Really good quality as well - I'm picky when it comes to quality.

Oh well...all I can say is good luck with your patch. I started updating my game when it came out and only finished now. So I'm assuming it will take you just as long.

Perrmissions is the point, its easy to update leagues or add them from .cmp's.

very nice patch and work! I hope it won't take to much time to release it. I was looking for such a patch and found only the CEP for fifa08. But there it seems really more quantity then quality! I've started like a junkie to edit all the ratings / squads / Player Numbers / Birthdate's / Contract year and i've done that for Bundesliga, Premier League as the Primera and then i found this thread :) haha...

There's no update so far but the reason why I'm posting is this.

I am planning out an add on patch for the World of FIFA which will cover the International and Club Football scene in the Oceania Football Confederation. I need some kitmakers but mostly, Tournament and League makers.

I do warn you all that the add on might not be 100% accurate as I've found very little info on alot of the OFC nations.

Just finished reading the thread! Beutiful idea is already here and the great work is coming, it is a big progress of worlds fifa community.))
I saw that u have taken RPL from fifax.net. This version is ****. We have to wait for RPL08 from fifasoccer.ru or to ask them using their faces (more than 150) and stadiums (5 like a minimum) from the last year, just updating that, what we have atm. Why am i carying about it? Because Russia is a big country, but no one in that was liking CEP. Why? Because there was really bad RPL, with squads for 2005 in FIFA07 and etc. Just lots of people will dont see the reason to download it. Now, if the fifa.fat will become unlimited, that will be possible.

Dude, I understand that you would want this patch released very soon. As would alot of these people. But if we rush our work just for the sake of some kind of deadline or set release date, it would lack the quality it would have if we take our time and put all effort in.

So all i can say is just hang in there. It will come out eventually.

Hmm, i dont have time to check ALL patches.

OK. We've been busy doing what we can for our patch and we have some mixed news regarding the progress. First, I'll start off with the bad news. FIFA4Fans will not be helping us on our World of FIFA patch. But despite of not been able to get what we need from them, we did manage to get some permission to use a few patches on their site for our project (By gaining the permission of the Patchmakers themselves).

Anyway, I've been busy practically with the patch as well. Converting SoTiLogos and Minikits to FIFA 08 sizes and making simple to make but very good quality Banners for the game's manager mode.

Sometime soon, I will release a step by step guide for all of you on converting the logos and making banners so keep reading this thread for when that time comes.

What we wanted from F4F weren't necessarily related to the German Bundesligas. Most of the patches we wanted were graphic GUI like the Realistic Turf, Flag packs, Next Gen Patch and all those patches that improve the look of the game.

I'm just giving you all an update on the progress. Myx has taken an indefinite break from FIFA related projects due to personal reasons.

I've been told from FIFA Baltac crew members it could be a month but who knows. But We're not going to let this stop the World of FIFA Patch dead in it's tracks. I'll get in contact with FIFA Hungary over this weekend and take charge until Myx returns. So thank you for your support and any ideas and league suggestions, We are all ears on it. Thank you.

hate to say it but even if this is released its taken far too long

basiclly i should've put more effort into it and set out what i wanted to do more clearly but i had other problems in my life which were more important and also fifa08 is a bad game with hideous graphics and annoying gameplay, myx has completley took over which i was fine with but the problem is he has being doing way too much, making his region patches along with other things AND this patch

what i wanted to do is make a patch with updated and glossed the whole game and added the greek, russian, argentinian leagues and release as a first patch.

then shortly after added serbia, ukraine, japan and egypt

then after other leagues

myx tried to add almost every single europiean league in the first patch, i said it was too much at it will take too long but he said he could cope but things haven't worked out that well.

for example all these seasons leagues are pretty much finished now, the dutch and greek leagues are officialy over! everyone is turning their heads to the euros and im not sure people are intrested in this patch now.

it would be nice to release this but, its taken too long, i still respect myx but he got too carried away with this project.

for fifa 09 we will try this project again, difference being that if it IS next gen for pc ill put more effort into it and we will ONLY add 3 leagues in the first patch

this plan was too utopic/unrealistic to be managed. I had offered all my work and of course I am glad that I did it but I had worned Myx that this could never be a reality by experience, although this nice guy proved me that he was collecting all the material. of course the failure does not belong to him, but to the huge material which takes time to be managed by any author himself and secondly to be in the right order by Myx. we must not forget that this year was the poorest in editing production ever!

thats down to fifa08 being a crap game :) and no being all to bothered in editing it.

the plan was not unrealistic at all, if we had done it in stages it would've been a succes.

if fifa 09 IS next gen for pc. ill make this patch properly :)

This week im gonna finish Regions patch, so next week we will go to the final stage, and i think i will took few weeks to complete it.

The guys who were criticizing CEP as much as they can't..look where you are now, nothing done a good project that'll never be released. Who are you? a 15 years old boy who wanted to be the best? seriously, you maked me laugh since the beginning of your idea..alone doing that, too mad..

The most important is that you and a lot of other people have always smashed down the CEP project BUT when you take a look at the FIFA scene, who has made something like CEP? I repeat: NO ONE, ANYONE on earth. So, before telling others that their work is bad, you'd better thing 2 times or more.

If someone who has so good ideas has had wanted to help us, maybe we would have grew better together..now there's no more CEP and no World of FIFA netheir.

Maybe a better attitude of all of you would have been led that nowadays, everybody would have been playing a patch like ALL of you dreams of. Because CEP was that and without the help of others it has become what it is now: nothing like your patch

Since im not more a fifa editor, i wont say anything from my side about CEP. CEP is crap, everyone knows it. I didnt done WOF, not becose its impossible, thats becose i dont have any time or mood on that. One leagues patch in.cmp are lot of time better from CEP. See you next year, pessimistics ;)

Nah World of fifa would've worked if i put the effort in. the plan i had was simple, it was myx that made the unrealistic plans.

the plan was to make a pro evo like patch where we update the game fully and add like 1 or 2 leagues, THEN WE BUILD STE BY STEP FROM THERE.

Myx wanted to put every league and cup under the sun in the first release.

of course im the baddest one now. turn on msn when can snoopf

ok CEP is a crap, then stay tuned on the fifa scene, maybe you'd better turn this 'crap' word out of the adjectives describing CEP patch in a short time from now

The only thing, why CEP can be called unique, is it has a really huge database, nothing more. The database is usually incorrect, wrong player and team names, graphics are crap (flags, some kits, minikits and like that..).
It's not important if you made the biggest database in the fifa history, if it's almost useless. If you would start to correct all the errors in CEP it would take years.

I mean no offense, just my opinion of this arguement.

Guys ...let's say you will start this patch , witch you are talking for so long ...until you finish it , FIFA 09 will appear and nobody will be interested anymore . I mean I saw the new FIFA 09 graphics ...anyone will prefer to play FIFA 09 without any edits (until editors start learning how to do those) than playing FIFA 08 with this WOP .

I too think this idea was great, however it was never completed so I cannot say its better then CEP. CEP is good for people like me who just want to play the game. Whenever I install anything after the CEP, the game will crash...actually every time I get the game full of great patches it crashes...I guess thats EA's fault though..

I just would like updated rosters, all national teams (Canada!!) and some new kits and stadiums...is it possible to release a lite version of this great idea? Most people dont care about small unknown leagues in the world (ones which CEP took the time to include haha) Its not a competition with CEP..or is it?

All the people who make this stuff don't get enough credit, they do a great job and we all appreciate it. Its a shame patch makers have called it quits. This particular patch would have made a name for itself with fifa gamers worldwide :-/
