View Full Version : AC Milan Thread [07/08]
rony31 14-07-2007, 04:25:AM bout time someone made this thread... not much happening so far in the off-season though... like... NOTHING. well except maybe:
-Abbiati on loan to Atletico Madrid for 1 season.
-Gourcuff penned a new contract until 2012
...that's it. boring summer on the red and black side of Milan right now
rony31 14-07-2007, 11:30:PM BREAKING NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
we've loaned Ricardo Oliviera to Zaragoza for a season :(
About time indeed. Hey, we got David Suazo aswell. That's about it. Glad we got rid of Oliveira for a season, even though we may end up getting short of options if any of our strikers get injured. That's likely, considering we've got Ronaldo and Inzaghi on our roster lol...

Suazo went to Inter
yoyo913 15-07-2007, 03:23:AM This thread is hilarious, first off, terrible **** first post (H). Then Lean's post about Suazo.
:bouncy:
rony31 15-07-2007, 03:04:PM your face is ****ty. besides, the whole massive first post thing is overrated, no one ever looks at it once the thread gets longer than 3 pages
Hahahaha, looks like i'm misinformed. Anyway, we're doomed if one of our strikers get injured then.
Thelonious 18-07-2007, 08:45:AM This thread is rather sad but at least Ronnie's looking in good shape

rony31 19-07-2007, 04:22:PM Milan Lab working its magic once again? (H)
rumours are now flowing that we're ready to offer 50M Euros for Eto'o... would be pretty ******* stupid since Barca got Henry for around half that price :|
I would rather see us getting Pato.
rony31 24-07-2007, 02:39:AM Milan president Silvio Berlusconi is refusing to give up on his dream of re-signing Andrei Shevchenko.
The Ukraine striker left Milan for Chelsea last summer and struggled to make an impact during his debut campaign at Stamford Bridge.
He has been linked with a return to San Siro and Berlusconi confirmed he still wants to bring Shevchenko back to the club.
"We expressed our liking for his possible return, but the problem is Chelsea," said Berlusconi at a press conference.
"We are waiting for something that could move."
The European champions have encountered frustration in the transfer market so far this summer, but Berlusconi expects a new striker to be added to Carlo Ancelotti's squad.
He continued: "At least a striker will arrive. We have been in the market, but until now we have not reached a conclusion because the available players wouldn't have improved the group, whilst the ones we wanted, and that would have increased our potential, have been declared untransferable."
Berlusconi again dismissed the notion that Kaka could leave the Rossoneri, and acknowledged an interest in the Brazilian's promising compatriot Alexandra Pato.
"Kaka? These are all inventions," said Berlusconi. "There has never been a little possibility that he could move, either because we don't want to sell him, or because he wants to stay.
"There is no possibility he could leave in the future because we want him to end his career here.
"Pato? He's a promising player in world football and we have the intention to go for him."
there you go, Lean :p
Paulo Da Silva 24-07-2007, 03:23:AM if Ronaldo get sback to his best, which by the look at those photos he is, then there will be no need for a player like etoo. Just get Pato and alongside a rejuvanated Ronaldo, Inzaghi, and gilardino you guys will be fine.
justhammy 24-07-2007, 11:46:AM But WE are also interested in Pato ;) So that will be interesting. You got your Kaka, now let us have ours lol
Would bloody love it if we got Pato. He's pure talent. Nearly a complete footballer aged at 17-18. He just needs body and mental strenght, experience. He can dribble, he can pass, he can find his target free, he can head, and boy he can finish.

Oh my...
that's ******* hideous :|
Milan kits are usually so beautiful and classy, but this one :|
The tiny stripes, the big red part on the sides, the bwin logo with that black rectangle behind, jesus christ, that looks horrendous!
rony31 01-08-2007, 03:02:PM oh good Lord :| definitely not buying that.. wonder what the away kid looks like, those are usually nice and plain
so anyone else hear about Real readying a record offer for Kaka... apparently over 60M pounds (H) we'll still reject though
I seriously hope those will look better in action, but it's freaking weird. Especially the sponsor, they ruined it.
whats the word on Pato in Brazil Lean?
I read that they say the deal is done?

OMGZORZ!! Jani in a thread other than the Juve thread!!?!!! Oh noez!!:|
lol....:D...it is indeed a surprise!! :mrpimp:
you guys have to accept Im not a Juve fan, as much as you guys love me :(
Apparently there's a meeting today (it's happening at the moment) between the Inter directors, Pato, Pato's father and Braida and we're sealing the deal, according to globo.com, a respectable source when it comes to sports (and sports only haha). The fee is 20 million dollars.
Other sources say he's already ours and he's flying to Milan tomorrow to have his medical and sign the contract. And he will already join the squad, contrary to reports that he was staying with Inter until December. Cant wait!
Its done guys (H)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, 22 million Euros. About half of it goes to Inter and the rest goes for Pato and his agent. He's 17 and he's millionaire now. Holy. Anyway, he will be able to play for us only in January.
RuiCosta_10 03-08-2007, 01:36:AM 22 million for a 17 years old kid?
Damn, he gotta be something...
Mauricio 03-08-2007, 01:43:AM well, he has the typical Brazilian magic, a lot of money IMO for ap layer that age.
22 million for a 17 years old kid?
Damn, he gotta be something...
Yeah he is. He scored 12 in 25 matches for Inter not to mention his goalscoring record for the U-20 NT which is immense. He's got an average of around 0,6-0,7 goals per match, and he's 17. That's outrageous.
PSVFOREVER 03-08-2007, 08:15:PM Ha. We beat you because Seedorf missed a penalty. After all these years coaches still don't get it: Don't let Seedorf take a penalty.
Mikey 04-08-2007, 02:15:AM watched some vids of this kid,,,,, no wonder Milan was so interested, very similar to Kaka. Its good to see Serie A still buying any stars these days, even if its a top prospect.
Baptista would be a mistake for anything more than $8M
Mikey 04-08-2007, 02:26:AM I also think if Milan fails to get any of their top striker targets, they should pick up Cassano and try and get him to lower his wages, itd be a win-win situation. I just dont see him acting up with guys like Maldini and Gattuso around. If only i could manage a club :)
Dude, its amazing how NO ONE wants Cassano. What the hell is wrong with him? haha
PSVFOREVER 08-08-2007, 01:00:PM his attitude? his performances? I could go on and on until I start foaming at the mouth and fall over backwards.
justhammy 08-08-2007, 02:39:PM Cassano is from another world if it comes to talent. He is one of the most gifted players on earth. Its just that he has something in his head that isnt good. His attitude s*cks! If he just could change that then he would start in every topteam!
his attitude? his performances? I could go on and on until I start foaming at the mouth and fall over backwards.
His performances have never been bad. I remember earlier this season he was great for Real, setting up plays here and there.
Its his attitude for sure. But come on, is it to the extent that nobody wants to risk him?
He's been linked to almost every club in Italy, and they all say "No, no thanks".
Damn it sucks to be Cassano :D
justhammy 08-08-2007, 03:05:PM Damn it sucks to be Cassano :D
Depends on how you see it. ;) I mean he doesnt play and got a big fat salary ;)
saying it is cliche is also cliche, but I will say it anyway, money isnt everything :D
he's still under contract with Real Madrid? :|
It appears so. I wouldnt mind him to tell you the truth, he's a very good player. His attitude stinks but our well respected players and manager could sort him out.
I think Capello got tired of putting up with his attitude ever since he was at Roma...He didn't seem to care about Cassano while he was coaching Real Madrid...to me that's when Cassano's downfall started...His situation is very similar to Christian Vieri's imo.
justhammy 09-08-2007, 09:57:AM Well, when Capello was coaching Real Madrid, he at the start gave Cassano playing time. He was about to bench Raul for that. Cassano was playing really fantastic in pre-season and played very good in the start of the league. But then somehow, Capello turned the back on him. Without a reason, because he was the best player on that moment. So Cassano sat out without arguing too much at the start, (hoping its just for a match or 2) and then Capello really never used him anymore. So Cassano had it and they got angry about eachother. I actually understand Cassano, but its the manner that wasnt good! I really hope for the guy to get his career back on the track, because I rate him extremely high!
at best he'll end up like Morfeo or Di Natale or something.
Yossarian 09-08-2007, 05:50:PM what's his yearly salary/contract length at Madrid like?
I think I read it was €4.2m
sporting director Giuseppe Marotta said that Cassano wants to join Sampdoria.
Yossarian 10-08-2007, 05:51:PM I think I read it was €4.2m
shieeet!
That's some serious coin right there, man.....anyway, yeah. if his attitude can't be curbed and restrained by someone as strict, authoritarian and intimidating as Capello, then I think he's a lost cause. I think that he's got some serious issues completely unrelated to soccer that he's gotta look into, man, because he's such a phenomenally gifted player.
Emerson very, very close to Milan apparently.
€3.5m a year till 2010. Free transfer.
justhammy 10-08-2007, 07:39:PM Emerson very, very close to Milan apparently.
€3.5m a year till 2010. Free transfer.
Good luck with him ;) He really s*cked when playing for us. I hope he can pick his play up, like he did at Juve. But if he doesnt then you guys shouldnt go for him!
Does that mean Capello is going to Milan too? :D
He could be a sporting director or something, you know.. if he really wants to be with Emo :D
rony31 23-08-2007, 05:00:PM ugh, Emerson... :(
rony31 26-08-2007, 06:08:PM solid start to the season, 3-0 over Genoa. everyone played well except Gilardino obviously who I now classify as the most useless player on the planet. we slowed down considerably in the 2nd half, Kaka stopped making runs and looked sort of tired, but a brace to start the season (Y)
Our left side looked vulnerable for a good part of the first half, but like Rony said, 10 players on the field had a good match, except for Gilardino. The forward who cant run, pass, head, shoot, dribble nor score. (H)
Yossarian 27-08-2007, 02:26:AM Gattuso is pretty talented (technically speaking) for a barbarian.....you look at the sonofabitch and go....."Man, that mother****er could probably kill me 50 different ways efficiently in mere seconds", but when he's not out there destroying everything in sight, the dude is actually a serviceable player going forward. He makes decent passes and intelligent runs, and he controls the ball rather well.....highly underrated for his attacking capabilities imo.
Anyway, that searing and most beautiful end-to-end run that Kaka made early in the game off the corner kick clearance......boy was that **** sweet up until his last second decision......should've laid it off to the right, but anyway, that run was ******* Cheetah like, yo.......Negro Dynamism to the utmost!
Don't know what the kid is doing wasting his natural physical abilities in such a trivial and inferior sport like soccer, man, He would make for an excellent receiver in Football, or even a smooth and silky point guard in Basketball, man.
Hahahahahaha! Funny **** man. Anyway, dont think he's exactly wasting his natural physical abilities in football. Actually, he puts them to great use!
A receiver just needs to run fast and know how to catch a balll! What you on about :(
Yossarian 28-08-2007, 06:13:PM ^^^countering my troll post with a troll of your own, or are you just being your usual overly-serious dickhead self? Maybe both? I hope that you realize that I was just ******* around and making an attempt at a "Funny".
I've never really understood you, man, or have been able to properly gauge your level of hatred for me. You always respond to my stupid and generally playful posts with great levels of animosity and criticalness....no matter how absurd teh post.
I don't know, man. Maybe yer just a far superior troll (key example.....your disparagement and minimizing of the skill level and smarts necessary to play the wide receiver position) than I, and I'm just too dim-witted to realize it all......I'm getting mirrored and reversed by a worldclass troll and I'm not even pickin up on it.........LOLzer....
good stuff Shev, good stuff!......:(:(:(:(:(:(
haha (H)
I dont hate you man. You my favorite poster on these ever so boring boards :(
Yossarian 29-08-2007, 05:07:PM ^^ wow.....really? What a relief! That's great to hear, man because I love you too....more than you'll ever know actually.
I was always just under the impression that you wanted me to die....to die a very grim and gruesome death....preferably infront of my family or something.....
*leaps across the thread with the grace and gaiety of a rabid homosexual*

Yossarian 01-09-2007, 04:18:PM he's been hired under the newly conceived dual-duty job of migrant worker/backup player. He'll tend to the alfalfa, corn and wheat fields near the Milanello grounds from 6am to 3pm, then come to the practice facilities from 4-6 to take care of his footballing obligations with the team.

rony31 03-09-2007, 06:04:PM please for the love of God get Gila out of there. please, Lord. please.
rony31 03-09-2007, 07:01:PM bah, bad result. the fatigue from Friday's game really showed in the 2nd half, we had no rhythm going and were pretty lucky not to leave with a loss because Fiorentina had their chances. well 2 weeks rest until our next game, we'll be back at full force by then. especially Kaka, he looked off today and looked like he could use a breather
$teauA 03-09-2007, 07:38:PM That was the best Serie A match I've seen in a looong looong time but I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish, it had a great pace, excellent midfield play from Milan, fantastic counter attacks from Fiorentina and of course to top it all off Mutu scored (Y).
Milan did look tired towards the end though.
I've heard Pato may be eligible to play even before January here in Brazil. Do you guys have any info about this?
PaPaGeorGeo 04-09-2007, 02:10:PM How old is he? doesnt he have to be 18 to come across(FM)
He will be 18 this month, so i dont know. A mate of mine said he read it on a good source, but i dont really believe him. I will do some researching i guess, would be too good to be true.
EDIT - He was mistaken. Seems he mixed things up, in the matter of fact, Pato is making his debut this week on a friendly against Dinamo Kiev. But he's only elibigle for official matches next year.
rony31 04-09-2007, 04:40:PM aye, I think it's because he turned 18 after the transfer deadline and so as of right now he can only play friendlies. he can play official matches once the January window opens.
Exactly Rony. By the way, where do i get this neat "2003 crew" thingy eh? I'm from 2003 too lol, i want one of those haha.
rony31 05-09-2007, 05:51:AM just take the image link from my sig and feel free to show your support :p
Damn you guys really miss me here :(
Yossarian 05-09-2007, 10:42:PM Of course they do....hell, even I miss your consistent presence around these parts, babe.
Hey, do you by any chance know what happened to your sweet-assed fellow countryman Enigma? 'Cause I wouldn't mind risking a month long ban like I did the last time just to pollute and devastate his sweet tush with my filthy Cock, man.
That dude just ******* disappeared on us like he didn't even give a ****, yo.
rony31 06-09-2007, 04:37:PM pffft, we don't need you here jani, get lost
Pato makes his unofficial Milan debut in less than an hour (Y)
Yossarian 06-09-2007, 04:52:PM "Pato".....what a filthy sounding name, man.
Rony, would you kindly lick my pato?
rony31 06-09-2007, 05:04:PM pato means "her face" in my language... can you imagine "oh and Pato has been receiving some wonderful balls from Pirlo today" :(
I am too important to the survival of this thread :(

Capela 12-09-2007, 11:03:AM can any of you explain me why milan has signed ibrahim ba ?
Thelonious 12-09-2007, 11:20:AM From what I've heard he has been given pretty much a token contract of 200,000 a year, presumbably so he can retire on a high rather than after a season of mediocrity in serie C. I've also heard he has a son in the Milan academy, not to sure whether thats true though.
Has he made any of the matchday squads so far this season?

Yes, his son is Fabien Ba, striker of the Esordienti Regionali Under-13 squad.
Ba was signed to help Yoann Gourcuff fit in :D

kramer11 09-10-2007, 10:17:PM Pretty good Maldini article though you guys might like,
Despite having passed the 600 appearance mark last season, Paolo Maldini has shelved any retirement plans in order to continue what has been a truly remarkable and successful playing career. The AC Milan defender boasts an incredible trophy cabinet but, now at 39 years of age, his appetite for the game shows no signs of waning and he is hungry to bring more glory to the San Siro this season.
The fascinating journey began for a young Paolo in January 1985 as he made his league debut for Milan – the club for which his father, Cesare, had played and would later manage. AC Milan was in Paolo’s blood and he was seemingly destined to follow in Cesare’s footsteps. However, few knew at this early stage that Paolo Maldini would be a constant name on the team sheet for more than twenty years!
He slotted calmly into an excellent AC Milan team, performing well at left back alongside some of the best defenders to grace the game, including the great Franco Baresi. It was the perfect environment to learn about the game and it was an education that has served him very well. Right wingers quickly realised that Maldini was a formidable opponent.
Paolo’s progress was not just noted domestically. His brilliance soon earned him a call-up to the Italian national team where he impressed coaches with his flawless displays. He had it all. He had the pace, the aerial ability and the strength in the tackle. His positional play was faultless and his reading of the game even better. Paolo also offered plenty of quality in attack as his accurate crossing and eye for a pass proved valuable assets for club and country.
The AC Milan of Baresi’s era dominated Serie A and Maldini played his part in securing five league titles between 1988 and 1996. He also starred in three European Cup triumphs, the best of which came in 1994 with a stunning 4-0 triumph over much-fancied Barcelona. It was one of the great finals and Maldini was a rock at the back for the new champions of Europe. When Baresi retired from the game, Paolo was the obvious choice to replace him in the centre of defence and also as club captain and Maldini has kept the armband ever since – through good times and bad.
Another of Maldini’s strengths has been the way that he has shifted effortlessly through the different stages of the club’s recent history. After a few worryingly bleak years, AC Milan are once more regarded as being amongst Europe’s top sides and he added further Serie A titles in 1999 and 2004. When you consider that Paolo has also won one Coppa Italia, five Italian Supercups, five UEFA Supercups and two World Club Championships – not to mention all his individual awards – it would be fair to assume that there is little space left in his trophy cabinet!
Winning the Champions League in 2003 and 2007 increased Paolo’s tally of European titles to five and with this latest triumph he equalled Francisco Gento’s record of eight appearances in the final. Baresi, Demetrio Albertini and Dejan Savicevic have since been replaced by the likes of Alessandro Nesta, Andrea Pirlo and Kaka but Maldini still remains the figure that links the AC Milan of the 1990s with the present day version.
Maldini also produced the goods on the international stage, although he never won the trophies that his talent deserved. He racked up a record 126 caps for his country, many of those as captain, but the Italians had to settle for being runners-up in both at the 1994 World Cup and at Euro 2000. Paolo retired from representing international football after Italy’s embarrassing World Cup 2002 elimination at the hands of South Korea and so sadly Maldini was not part of the triumphant squad at the 2006 World Cup.
At a time when transfer fees are ever increasing and loyalty is no longer valued so highly by players, it becomes all the more amazing that Maldini has spent his entire career at Milan. Rather like Ryan Giggs and Gary Neville at Manchester United, Paolo has never felt the desire to move away from a club where he has won so much and earned such adoration from the team’s supporters.
But age may be catching up with him finally as he battles to return from injury and many feel that this will be his last season in an AC Milan shirt before he announces his retirement from the sport. When he eventually admits defeat and elects to retire to spend more time with his family, Maldini will be able to take a long look back at what he has achieved in football. By becoming the first defender to win the World Player of the Year award in 1994, he raised expectations for himself and helped gain his fellow defenders gain more credit for their work. His levels of consistency have never dropped and it would be typical of the man to produce one final magic moment before he hangs up his boots. Though Milan have been slow starters this season, nobody would begrudge Paolo one last Serie A or European title.
It is impossible to imagine the emotions that he will feel when he decides to wave goodbye to the Milan fans who he holds so close to his heart. Football will lose one of its true greats when Maldini brings down the curtain on one of the longest and most successful careers in the history of the sport.

UEFA Champions League-Group D
Benfica vs AC Milan
Wednesday November
Estádio da Luz, Lisbon
SL Benfica thought they had done enough to live another day in the UEFA Champions League after coming from behind to draw 1-1 with AC Milan, only for a late goal in Glasgow to send the holders through and end the Portuguese club's chances of reaching the knockout stages.
The Eagles were still in contention when the final whistle blew at the Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica, Andrea Pirlo and Maxi Pereira having traded superb first-half goals, but the celebrations were curtailed when news filtered through that Celtic FC had scored an added-time winner against FC Shakhtar Donetsk. Benfica now need to win in Ukraine to reach the UEFA Cup next Tuesday, when Milan entertain the Scottish club requiring a point to win Group D.
Although the Benfica players had shown their determation to get their campaign back on track by huddling together before kick-off, their unity was undermined by a nervous beginning. Alberto Gilardino spurned an excellent chance in just the second minute having been picked out by Cristian Brocchi's right-wing cross. Two minutes later and Quim was forced into action by Clarence Seedorf, turning the Dutchman's shot round the post after a one-two with Gilardino.
It was of little surprise, then, when the visitors took the lead on the quarter-hour. Milan built patiently down the left, although the dynamic of the attack changed after Kaká played the ball to Pirlo and the Italy midfielder ran unchallenged before swerving a magnificent low shot into the corner or the net from distance. Pirlo was almost behind a second goal for the visitors three minutes later, Quim having to intervene after Petit nearly turned a free-kick from the Milan man into his own goal.
Their hopes still alive, Benfica hit back in the 20th minute. Rui Costa and Konstantinos Katsouranis played the ball from left to right to Pereira who showed a lovely touch to cut inside Gennaro Gattuso before arrowing a rising shot from outside the box beyond Dida via the Brazilian's post. It was real end-to-end stuff now, David Luiz denying Kaká in one area with a superb sliding challenge after a swift counterattack; Cristián Rodríguez twice going close in the other.
Kakha Kaladze then cleared a 38th-minute Pereira shot behind with Dida grounded as Benfica upped the tempo, prompting Carlo Ancelotti to introduce Paolo Maldini for Serginho at half-time. Another change quickly followed, Yoann Gourcuff replacing the injured Brocchi, and the new men were able to settle as the frenetic pace of the first period dropped.
Rui Costa, against his former club, was the most influential player of the second half, showing a full array of tricks and flicks, yet it was only in the final few minutes that the game truly reignited. Dida made a couple of nervy stops before Kaká scuffed a shot wide when unmarked after charging into the box in the final minute. The Brazilian had an equally presentable opening in added time but headed wide, although Benfica's fate would soon be sealed by events elsewhere.

rony31 29-11-2007, 08:41:PM "Milan striker Ronaldo is likely to be out for at least a fortnight after suffering a calf injury.
The Brazilian marked his return from several months on the sidelines with a thigh injury by playing 90 minutes against Cagliari on Sunday.
He was put on the bench for Wednesday's UEFA Champions League game with Benfica, but hurt his calf when preparing to come on as a substitute."
couldn't help but giggle at the bolded part :(
Pizarro14 29-11-2007, 09:51:PM Awesome /sarcasm
so i'm guessing Ronaldo is back to his lazy ways again? how is he doing @ Milan so far? I haven't really heard alot of feedback from him. Is he a waste of space?
btw Congrats on Kaka for winning the Ballon d'Or award.

Axolote 18-12-2007, 03:17:PM Congratulations Milan...
It was a happy sunday for me...
For me, Pipo Inzaghi was the man of the match...
rony31 22-12-2007, 06:46:PM forgot this thread even existed... you were right, Jani :(
anywho, derby day tomorrow. god I'd love to stick it to those Interista ****s, but I highly doubt it with our league form this season :(
Bonzi 23-12-2007, 04:57:PM Milan looked like **** in the second half even though Ambrosini had that chance (:/) Dida is the one to blame the most I guess. And it's time for Serginho to retire. Still Milan desperately need some high class forward.
Interista13 23-12-2007, 08:01:PM Ummmm....you guys got owned...
If I were you, I would replace Dida...that Cambiasso strike was a Christmas gift to us from Dida! :amika:
Deni_Rossonero 23-12-2007, 10:33:PM Ummmm....you guys got owned...
If I were you, I would replace Dida...that Cambiasso strike was a Christmas gift to us from Dida! :amika:
Well, not so much i think that we deserved a draw at least! But you're right about dida, he's cost us a lot over the past few years, but i think our mains problem is the strength of our bench and our attack - the only white spot there being pato, ronaldo is at his end, inzaghi is more of a o.g. solskjaer type, he can only stand playing one half, or maybe die playing two and then not play 3-4 next games, and gila should be out as soon as january, maybe one central defender and banega, and as you said a replacement for dida although i think abbiati would be enough and far better than dida, and we're good!
rony31 24-12-2007, 06:07:AM I think our problem over the years is that we've settled for mediocrity in the league in order to succeed in the Champions League. all we ever do is replace our aging bench players with more aging bench players and our mediocre defenders with more mediocre defenders (Bonera? come on... Oddo's decent, just a defensive liability). every transfer window, we hear the same **** from Galliani: "we're fine the way we are, we'll bring in 1 player max... I present to you Emerson, now everyone leave us alone" :| it's time for a shake-up. Kaka cant do it all himself anymore. our strikers are too dependent on others and cant create anything for themselves like Sheva used to. our midfield looks worse every match, especially Seedorf & Ambro who look like complete **** this year. and don't even get me started on Dida. we should've got Buffon when Juve were in Serie B. worst two-time CL winning keeper ever.
Interista13 24-12-2007, 04:15:PM Deni Rossonero: Mate, I agree, a draw would have been reasonable. I didn't feel like Inter really put up a star performance. What's up with Ronaldo and Pato? Didn't people say Ronaldo would be back by the Club World Cup? I am curious to see Milan after January when Pato will be allowed to play...it will be interesting to see how he fits in.
Rony31: You bring up a good point. Every team must decide what their main priority is: The CL or league. In Milan's case they chose the CL...and throughout history they have been the only Italian team that took the CL seriously...every other Italian team has been to absorbed in the league to care
rony31 24-12-2007, 11:29:PM well I agree with them in that I'd rather win the CL than the Scudetto, but not to the point where we're in the bottom half of the table... that's just unacceptable
Arnau 25-12-2007, 04:11:PM hey milan sign ronaldinho please, he is a cancer now
bybuti 25-12-2007, 04:46:PM hey milan sign ronaldinho please, he is a cancer now
hahha
milan wont buy him if he is a cancer
he is a great player, he did enough for barça but now its time to go
SO BUY HIM, HE IS GREAT! :)
rony31 25-12-2007, 06:49:PM we'll give you Brocchi and Favalli, straight swap.
Deni_Rossonero 25-12-2007, 07:14:PM Interista13: Ronaldo is injured... again, i think he's still workin' for you guys!
And Pato will play when the league resumes! Finally a player!!! And a ******* great one! Worthy of the #7 shirt!
As for Ronaldinho Arnau, he's the best ever but i think that at barcelona he's only gonna fall deeper and deeper i agree that Milan should take him, i think he would find both his form and motivation in Milan as most did. We'll the transfer window is coming up so we'll have to wait and see, i'm gonna keep my fingers crossed, cause it would benefit Milan and Barcelona and Ronaldinho!
Deni_Rossonero 06-01-2008, 05:50:AM Yeah!!!! Now PATO can play and Ronaldo is fit!!!! We actually don't need anyone, barca keep Ronaldinho, the only thing we needed was someone to put everything that Kaka and Pirlo set up, after Sheva left everything was on Kaka', he had to do everything, and a midfielder cannot get 50 goals a season, i mean his 10 in the CL was enough! Finally i won't have to look at gilardino spoiling every good ball that comes his way, and no more using inzaghi as a starting striker! BELIEVE ME PEOPLE, PATO AND FIT RONALDO IS REALLY EVERYTHING THAT MILAN NEEDS UNTIL THE END OF THIS SEASON!!!!!
FORZA MILAN!!!!
rony31 06-01-2008, 06:05:AM we're putting all our hope on an 18 year old and a striker who's fit 1/10th of the season... God help us :(
Deni_Rossonero 06-01-2008, 07:48:PM we're putting all our hope on an 18 year old and a striker who's fit 1/10th of the season... God help us :(
This kid deserves it! We didn't do that with Gourcuff! Also on who's side are you on? Support no matter what! ;)
rony31 08-01-2008, 12:11:AM I am supporting, that's why I said "God help us" :p my passion has dwindled since last season though, probably because Serie A coverage is so all over the place this season in Canada, never know what channel is showing the games and I barely get to watch Milan anymore :( really looking forward to seeing Pato though
Deni_Rossonero 08-01-2008, 12:47:AM Watch games on streams! (is this illegal? i really don't know)
Gene Reginato 13-01-2008, 10:32:PM How come no one is talking about today's game? One of the best of the year!
Deni_Rossonero 13-01-2008, 10:43:PM How come no one is talking about today's game? One of the best of the year!
You're right where are all the rossoneri?!??!?!??!??!
I cannot believe what i saw today, we don't need anything in attack anymore, Ronaldinho stay where you are, Drogba stay where you are!!! Kaka, Pato and Ronaldo work together like no trio in the world!!!! I cannot believe how well they played!!
As for Pato - he is every bit of a player they said he'll be!!! i can only see him messi and c.ronaldo fighting for the best player title!! I'm so glad the boy scored, there was really a lot of pressure on him!!
**** sheva!!!!!! He left us now we have a new better n#7!!!!!!!!!
FORZA PATOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
KAKA' was unbelievable as always! Great goal!!
And RONALDO showed why he is the PHENOMENO!!!!!
Great game for SEEDORF and PIRLO TOO!!!!
WE'RE BAAAAAACK!!!! HAHAHAHHAA
TheGrimSweeper 13-01-2008, 11:06:PM Excellent match boys.. the brazilian trio... simply awesome.
Were still shaky in the back though..
Though apparently were going on a 100 million euro spending fee this summer to boyster up the ranks.
http://goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=545149
Deni_Rossonero 14-01-2008, 01:04:AM Yeah heard about that! I read that it's in the contract with adidas that we must spend that money on buying new players, don't remember where i read it tho, maybe goal.com, but i'm not sure how much of that is true (of it being written in the contract) but i'm sure that we'll do good in summer!
I think that we did great this year, but we should have maybe took a striker on loan for the first half of the season or maybe swapped Gila with an efficient striker, in the Amauri mould at least!
The rest is ok for this year, maybe only that shaky defence you mentioned, i find Kaladze being a bit brute, he lacks the finesse that Nesta has maybe we should go for Barzagli, but juve will snatch him it's almost certain now. but i cannot think of an available defender good enough to be a long term first 11 player.
But i don't worry, Galliani and co. always seem to find a hidden gem.
AND people don't worry about our ''ageing'' squad! We only look old on paper, that are only reserve and substitute players that are old, and Milan has a system, they don't just buy a player to sit on the bench, i would rather have brocchi sit on the bench for two more years and then buy an incredible talent like they did when we had Rui Costa and Rivaldo, and they where both old and we kinda hold it out with them and they bought Kaka.
I'd rather we do business like that than buy players that will flop or only be mediocre!! I'd rather have one old superstar and one future superstar for a position, than a very good player or a superstar in first 11 and a really mediocre player for sub.
As for the old players, Maldini :(, Serginho, Favalli and Cafu :( are leaveing in the summer so that will cut our age in half!
Also PLEASE!!! PEOPLE LOOK AT OUR CURRENT FIRST 11 age
Dida - 34
Oddo - 31 Nesta - 31 Kaladze - 29 Jankulovski - 29
Pirlo - 28 gatusso - 29 seedorf - 31
pato - 18 ronaldo - 31 kaka - 25
with scholes neville vds and giggs man utd are no younger ,
It's all just a bit exaggerated in my opinion
but i'm not a wise man, for example i drink milk with my cheese sandwich with mayo and think that there's nothing wrong with that, and i go to sleep in 7 in the morning so, man, why are you even reading this? just kiddin' read please
FORZA MILAN
rony31 14-01-2008, 05:35:AM couldn't watch the game but just saw highlights... the Brazilian tripod looks amazing, Pato looked impressive, but he could have had a hat trick with all the chances he had. if our attack keeps playing like this, we've got a good 2008 to look forward to
Asaf4u 14-01-2008, 09:38:PM Forza Milan
Deni_Rossonero 17-01-2008, 03:28:AM Not a bad game today, Gourcuff really has something, he will be the perfect replacement for Seedorf when he chooses to hang his boots of leave. Gourcuff really puts effort in his game i like the kid.
I am a bit sorry we got knocked out of the cup, but only for the sake of our reserves, but the cup certainly was no priority.
Common are there really only few rossoneri on soccergaming forums? Write people, :-paul: :)
Xifio 17-01-2008, 08:44:AM gilardino was unlucky not to score yesterday ... but, as many will say, you make your own luck ... and after alberto paloschi scored on debut, the calls for gila's milan career to wind down can only get louder ...
that can't be helping the pressure being heaped on him to perform ... i personally would prefer him to go on loan so he can rediscover his touch and confidence ... he is not that old, and he has proved his goalscoring pedigree before ... add to that the fact that not too many will splash their cash on him, and you'd have to give him the benefit of doubt of a loan away asap ...
rony31 18-01-2008, 05:40:AM whatever, as long as he leaves for a bit I'm happy... he's honestly the worst player I've seen at Milan since Rivaldo came here for that disastrous spell.
Xifio 18-01-2008, 07:10:AM curse of the #11 jersey? -- fast becoming, eh?
twosmiths 18-01-2008, 05:13:PM Do you really think Pato, is going to me the next great one? Watching him last week fire into goalkeeper twice in a row(Seedorf goal)...I wonder...
MaestroZidane 18-01-2008, 05:42:PM You can't write a players future based on one game. Althougn his first game was that of promising player, he needs more games under his belt before one can start calling him the next "great one". One thing, he has injected life into this milan team. Now lets see what can become of this..
Deni_Rossonero 18-01-2008, 06:42:PM You can't write a players future based on one game. Althougn his first game was that of promising player, he needs more games under his belt before one can start calling him the next "great one". One thing, he has injected life into this Milan team. Now lets see what can become of this..
One game? He played one official game for Milan, he played his share of games, real professionals should know how to estimate a player and if everyone says he has the amount of quality that ronaldo had when he started out than the worse he can be is really good, and that is enough for me. But when i saw him play and move i knew that they where all right. A player either has it or doesn't, no matter how many games he plays he can only build up on that and when someone has it when he's 18 years old, he'll definitely be a great player down the line. For example gila did score many goals but his football was still awful, he only tapped in those balls, he didn't have the talent but he was trying hard.
Pato has both talent and works hard. For me that's enough i don't expect many goals from him, i don't expect ''ronaldinho style'' dribbling, i just want to support the guy and enjoy in his football.
Deni_Rossonero 20-01-2008, 01:53:PM Udinese - Milan starts in Ten minutes! Pirlo's not playing but i think we can cope with that, can't wait! :)
Deni_Rossonero 20-01-2008, 04:07:PM 0-1!!!!!! FORZA MILAN!! THANK YOU KAKA' FOR THE WINNING PASS, GILA TOOK HIS CHANCE REALLY GOOD! GREAT GAME, UDINESE DEFENDED BUT YOU CANNOT DEFEND FOR 90 MIN's AND NOT GET A GOAL FROM MILAN! HAHHAHAH FORZA MILAN!!!!
Tegrenath 20-01-2008, 04:51:PM Lame, I wanted to see the game but they were showing Juventus & Sampdoria on RAI.
How did Pato play?
Deni_Rossonero 20-01-2008, 04:58:PM Lame, I wanted to see the game but they were showing Juventus & Sampdoria on RAI.

Damn that boy's quick!! He was great, the three played with the same quality they did against napoli but udinese closed down and defended the whole game.
Deni_Rossonero 23-01-2008, 10:07:PM ****!!
Deni_Rossonero 23-01-2008, 11:56:PM **** Serie A They All Play Only For A Point!! Goddamn!!!
Forza Milan!!!
Tegrenath 24-01-2008, 12:16:AM I can't believe we lost this game. I wanted so badly to win all the games we had to make up.
Deni_Rossonero 24-01-2008, 12:42:AM **** happens, but i still think we played a good game, Pirlo, Kaka', Seedorf and Pato really tried hard, but it just couldn't go through. Also i'm really sorry for Pato, i'm sorry he missed that chance cause now his confidence will drop, there's no reason for that he has at least thrice the quality that Gilardino has!!
saw the game.. dissapointed :(
rony31 24-01-2008, 04:48:AM at a certain point, I've come to expect these kinds of slip-ups... it's like we just don't wanna do well in the league. CL or bust for us every season :|
Deni_Rossonero 24-01-2008, 03:23:PM We're playing a game every three days with the same players!
Deni_Rossonero 27-01-2008, 05:13:PM Pato's first double for Milan!!!!! He was amazing today!! And my god what speed he's got!!! I simply cannot believe that!!! I only saw that in Sheva when he started out with Milan!!! Great!!! We're 7th and we're only 10 points behind Juve and Fiorentina of 3rd and 4th places, and we still have two games to play!! WE CAN GO FOR THE THIRD PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Deni_Rossonero 31-01-2008, 02:02:AM 6th! NEXT: Fiorentina.
Deni_Rossonero 31-01-2008, 03:36:AM Quoting from Careca's interview :
''
Ka-Pa-Ro Or Ma-Gi-Ca?
The Milan trident of Kaka, Pato and Ronaldo has been labelled as the Ka-Pa-Ro. How does it compare with Napoli’s great Ma-Gi-Ca trio of Maradona, Giordano and Careca?
"We were stronger because Diego was the difference,” Careca declared.
“But the trident of Milan is the best there is in Europe. The trio is better than Ronaldinho-Messi-Eto'o.”
''
I agree that they have the capacity to be best, but they still have to show it! But i'm glad there are this kind of talk about us and not that ''old-timers'' crap!
We're doing good and we're 10 times better than last season and i'm hoping we can win the CL again!!! FORZA MILAN!
Deni_Rossonero 03-02-2008, 06:42:PM Today we're gonna **** Fiorentina up!!! They're gonna play openly against us because the have too much pride to defend like the smaller teams do, and we've eaten up the best in the world when they play against openly! Hoping for a great result!
MaestroZidane 03-02-2008, 09:11:PM my oh my! that goal by Pato.. such skill, and with two players around him, then putting it behind the net... What a player this guy is...
MaestroZidane 03-02-2008, 09:29:PM Another win... but at what cost?? Pato taken out in a stretcher...
And that save by the keeper in the last minute..
Deni_Rossonero 03-02-2008, 10:54:PM Kalac and Pato in the first 11 instead of gila and dida for me! :)
MaestroZidane 03-02-2008, 10:59:PM you and every other milan fan..
Even I agree with such a move.... :(
rony31 04-02-2008, 06:02:AM Pato's injury looked bad... let's hope there were no fractures and the ligament damage was minimal, although by the agony on his face, that's being optimistic :( thought he lost control when Kaka played him in, but he recovered great and finished well. Nesta was huge, and Kalac with the last-gasp save to secure the win.
PS: Seedorf's a douchebag... acting like a ****in baby after being subbed off, thought he was way more professional than that (N)

Well, now you see why Gourcuff doesn't get playing time. He's a diret replacement for Seedorf. As for Pato's injury, they said that the fastest he can come back is three weeks and longest three months, but they must still examine his leg and than make an estimate.
bybuti 04-02-2008, 02:15:PM so pato wont play against arsenal ??
Deni_Rossonero 04-02-2008, 05:45:PM it looks like it, but they still don't know how serious it is, the worst thing is that Kaka' is also out with a knee injury, and Seedorf is also injured but they will get back sooner i think! But still, Pato, Kaka', Ronaldo, Seedorf, Gattuso my god we're ****ed!!!
MaestroZidane 04-02-2008, 05:55:PM A more clear picture about Pato's injury will be handed tomorrow.. they said they needed 48 hours to do a complete scan. I read that Gattuso could be back in three weeks.
Deni_Rossonero 05-02-2008, 04:55:PM ****!"!!! Now i read that Kaka's knee injury could keep him out for 4 months, but i would rather that he get's rid of the injury than play with pain and burn up, he's the best player to have played in Milan for a long time and we need him at his best, we must not let him burn up!!!
bybuti 05-02-2008, 05:11:PM and what about Pato ????
i heard that we will miss just 2 weeks :s

The European and World Footballer of the Year has been playing with a niggling sensation in his knee for quite some time now, but the problem has worsened in recent weeks.
This has been a factor in Kaka’s under-par performances of late, and the pain was said to be so bad in Sunday night’s 1-0 win over Fiorentina that the player was forced to come off in the closing stages.
The 25-year-old has pulled out of Brazil’s international squad and has been replaced by Werder Bremen’s Diego.
Kaka is now a doubt for this Sunday’s game with Siena, possibly leaving Milan without a forward of any description, as Alberto Gilardino is suspended and Alexandre Pato, Ronaldo and Filippo Inzaghi injured.
In order to clear up the injury, Kaka may be forced to sit out of action for four months, which would surely be an irreparable blow to Milan.
Rossoneri doctor Pierre Meersseman is less concerned about the problem however, and does not believe that a spell on the sidelines is required.
"This is nothing serious,” he told Milan Channel.
“For a couple of years he has been living with this discomfort in his knee.
“Before and after training and matches, Kakŕ undergoes physiotherapy exercises that make it better. Even if he has four to five months rest, there is no guarantee the problem will pass.”
Roberto Rossi
Looks like he could play.. but a rest would do him good.
big al 06-02-2008, 01:27:AM it looks like it, but they still don't know how serious it is, the worst thing is that Kaka' is also out with a knee injury, and Seedorf is also injured but they will get back sooner i think! But still, Pato, Kaka', Ronaldo, Seedorf, Gattuso my god we're ****ed!!!
 damm , story of our life.....
Deni_Rossonero 06-02-2008, 01:50:AM I just hope that Kaka' won't end up like Ronaldo, he also played through knee pain in inter and then ended up being injured for 2 years! I it's better that Kaka's out for 4 months than to have more and more problems, i mean his game has dropped a bit even because of this pain, and i don't blame him, i blame Ancelotti he's a great manager, but dammit rest our star! Seedorf, Pirlo and Gourcuff can also play a bit more forward if Kaka' is rested and Milan shoudn't loose in their game. GOD!! I hope Pato and Kaka' wont have more trouble with injuries!!
rony31 06-02-2008, 04:09:AM wow, all those stars questionable for the Arsenal match... wtf Milan Lab, work your magic :(
yoyo913 06-02-2008, 04:32:AM So whats the news with Kaka? Is it really 4 months?
If it is I have to admit your season is f***ed, very unlucky.
Not just because he is your best player but because your team will appear much less intimidating and other teams will try harder to beat you.
Overall good news for Inter obviously.
Deni_Rossonero 07-02-2008, 03:11:PM They will all be back for the arsenal game!! YAAAYYY! :bouncy: :amika:
woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
rony31 08-02-2008, 01:17:AM they're all probably going to be rested for the forthcoming Serie A matches just in case... except maybe Ronaldo and Pippo. we usually only play for CL anyways, so hopefully Kaka, Pato and Rino will be fit and ready for Arse
Deni_Rossonero 08-02-2008, 03:53:AM Gattuso is the most doubtful of those three but i think that even he will play and in the first leg against arsenal. Unfortunately for all the gooners if Kaka, Pato and Ronaldo play Arsenal's going down, especially if Gattuso starts biting heads off! HAHAHAHAHAHHA
I think they should put Gattuso on the bench and play him only if he is needed for the first leg so he doesn't risk damaging his thigh too much..
Deni_Rossonero 08-02-2008, 10:31:PM This will be good for Gourcuff to proove himself to Ancelotti! He'll play in Sunday against siena! Hopefully he slots a few in! :) I sure wish he does! He's a great talent!
Deni_Rossonero 10-02-2008, 04:58:PM If we beat Livorno on Wednesday we're 4th!!!!
yeah and if fiorentina stay on the current form they are... :)
Deni_Rossonero 10-02-2008, 11:58:PM we have a game less than fiorentina and if we win that game we're a point ahead of them so whether they continue with their form or not if we win we are on that fourth place.
rony31 11-02-2008, 03:31:AM Paloschi (H)
rony31 14-02-2008, 05:57:AM Ronaldo... ugh, just ****in retire already
Deni_Rossonero 14-02-2008, 07:50:AM He even might because it's the same injury to the one when he was in inter. And after a year out of football with his shape and at his age and with all the other injuries he has and gets it would be better for him if he does. Too bad that such a player never got the chance to really show the world of what he's capable of, that's something we'll always regret.
well he did score quite a few world cup goals..
MaestroZidane 14-02-2008, 05:26:PM Gotta feel for him.. it has been and will be another long year..
Arnau 14-02-2008, 09:31:PM the injurys destroid this player. when he comeback of his 2on important injury never was the same explosive player.
looks at this videos, how amazing he was

i think the famous Ka-Pa-Ro will be Ka-Pa-Dro this summer xD
ye i hope drogs and jose come :D
Deni_Rossonero 15-02-2008, 02:07:AM No!! We don't need Mourinho! Ancelotti is the best coach for Milan, Mourinho doesn't suit out game! Drogba would be great but Mourinho would be a step back imo.
elhelmiey 15-02-2008, 04:54:AM thanks arnau for the links of the videos. yes ronaldo was once the best player in history. many of the skills and tricks nowadays invented by him... and yes again we don't need mourinho. ancelotti is the best! maldini is the great!
yoyo913 15-02-2008, 05:08:AM Man.. I feel bad for Ronaldo.

+1! I don't think I've ever watched 20 minutes of soccer highlights as entertaining as those above. What a brilliant player he was at Barcelona. It's such a shame the injuries ruined his career.
Deni_Rossonero 15-02-2008, 12:28:PM I think it would be better for him to retire, i mean he gets injured almost every time he's on pitch, he'll be in serious pain in the next few months and at his age he doesn't need that. He already gave everything to football and changed it forever i hope for his sake that he retires.
Deni_Rossonero 16-02-2008, 01:25:PM Quoting from Goal.com:''
Ronaldo Was Doped
Bernando Santi says that the reason why Ronaldo has suffered so many injuries is because when he signed for PSV Eindhoven in 1994 as a 17-year-old, he was regularly pumped full of anabolic steroids in order to build up the player physically and help him grow.
As a result Ronaldo then developed muscles that were unable to co-exist with his knee’s bone structure, leading to devastating problems in later years.
"I spoke to colleagues in Holland who know people at PSV,” Santi told the daily Folha de Sao Paulo.
“I did not get to talk to PSV doctors. They gave supplements to Ronaldo, who was very thin, and among those supplements they included some anabolic substances which could make him grow a bit more.”
Santi is in no doubt that it was these drugs that have caused the injuries.
"It is a consequence of having grown beyond what his muscles were prepared to grow," he insisted.
"He gained muscle mass very fast, when he still had not reached maturity. The bill for the use of steroids shows up long term, 10, 15 or 20 years later."
''
He's done. Unfortunately they ruined his career! There's no point at coming back if you're gonna get injured again and again.
rony31 16-02-2008, 05:32:PM wow, if that's true... (N)
Deni_Rossonero 17-02-2008, 12:37:AM Unfortunately it's true. Also it's the only reasonable explanation for his injuries. But that also means that he'll get injured again and again which probably means early retirement! :(
Arnau 17-02-2008, 12:49:AM juas
tim5303 17-02-2008, 02:38:PM Looks like his career may not be over yet, rumour is that Milan are going to offer him a new contract. If I was Milan though I would make at a pay as he plays contract.
Deni_Rossonero 17-02-2008, 05:38:PM At least we have class. Milan would never leave a player, Galliani already declared that Milan will be behind Ronaldo through his injury. But still that doesn't change the fact that he might not make a comeback.
rony31 17-02-2008, 06:43:PM similar to the Redondo situation a few years back
yoyo913 18-02-2008, 05:47:AM http://www.uefa.com/competitions/ucl/news/kind=1/newsid=659257.html
Apparently Dida and Kalac doubtful for the Arsenal game.
elhelmiey 18-02-2008, 09:41:AM oh no! looks like it's getting worse :(
Deni_Rossonero 18-02-2008, 11:58:AM Yes, Kalac dislocated his finger and Dida ****ed up his back when he got up from the bench (******* unbelievable!), well here's the chance for fiori to show what he can do. But still Kalac could play, at least i think he could, i've heard of keepers playing with injuries like his. Still (N)
elhelmiey 18-02-2008, 12:08:PM well good luck fiori. please do your best. suddenly the injuries attack the team first
tim5303 18-02-2008, 12:11:PM How good is Fiori? don't think I have ever seen him play for Milan.
The defence has been good for the last few months but they need a first class goalie behind them for the Champions League
Deni_Rossonero 18-02-2008, 06:08:PM You haven't! The man hasn't played a game since 2003! But we are a lucky club so he'll probably do great!! :)
rony31 19-02-2008, 04:18:PM hehe, CL debut at the age of 38... only at Milan
Deni_Rossonero 19-02-2008, 05:56:PM Rock 'n' Roll!! :)
roma beat madrid 2-1 and inter lost to liverpool 0-2 and cordoba injured
Deni_Rossonero 20-02-2008, 02:26:AM I would like to thank liverpool although they where really desperate!
took them long enough too...
Deni_Rossonero 20-02-2008, 05:30:PM Looks like Kalac will play! But Pato won't at least from the lineup i saw. Good luck guys!!
FORZA MILAN
thoughts on the first half? thank god for nesta.... good save off the corner by lehman
pato is playing btw, he is looking really dangerous, all its guna take is a mistimed arsenal tackle and he will score :D
nesta groin injury.... :kader:
aresenal really pressuring.. way too fast for us through the midfeild.. offside goal from adebayor
pato injured.. doesnt look too bad only a leg cramp... eboue yellow carded for diving in the box
0-0 draw.. just.. lol i jumped when adebayor hit the crossbar..
pede54 20-02-2008, 10:09:PM That was rubbish guys. kaka and Pato were both rubbish tonight. Much too easy to take the ball away from both of them. I know they were probably playing for a 0-0 draw, but the whole team played very badly. Poor passing, poor everything. Milan even made Senderos look good and he is crap.
Its a good job that Arsenal strikers are crap otherwise you would have been slaughtered tonight.
Shame, I was expecting Milan to give Arsenal a lesson tonight. I suppose I should have known better. A different story at home hopefully. Good luck in the second leg.

LOL you have an opinion about the almighty Milan, watch the San Siro game.

concidering they both wernt at 100% they both played pretty well.
pede54 20-02-2008, 11:26:PM They played crap and there is no way you will convince a neutral otherwise mate.
pede54 20-02-2008, 11:28:PM LOL you have an opinion about the almighty Milan, watch the San Siro game.
After tonight I don't think I'll bother my friend.
Gunnersgoal22 20-02-2008, 11:34:PM Sets up a great game at the San Siro.
Oh and Pede our strikers don't suck. Today the whole team missed chances. BTW in case you forgot Adebayor is top scorer and we have Van Persie + Eduardo with Bendter as a good sub. And I'll warn all Milan fans that Eduardo is a different player on the road. He is usually given much more space and is clinical.
Yes you guys are now favored, but if we can get healthy this is by no means over.
Deni_Rossonero 21-02-2008, 12:18:AM They played crap and there is no way you will convince a neutral otherwise mate.
Who's trying to convince you, who cares about what you think of Pato and Kaka'.
Kristian 21-02-2008, 04:48:AM lol @ seedorf all game
Zakov 21-02-2008, 06:45:AM i don't think pede's saying that Kaka' and Pato sucks, i think he's saying that they didn't play good enough(at least in the eyes of the neutrals), like pede i was hoping that Milan would take the game to Arsenal as they are a bit down after the wacking at Old trafford, but still hoping that u guys will get the job done at the San Siro.....
cheers
$teauA 21-02-2008, 07:26:AM They played crap and there is no way you will convince a neutral otherwise mate.
I'm a neutral and I thought that was a pretty entertaining game overall.
adobe_sun 21-02-2008, 10:05:AM I'm a neutral too, but damn i hate to watch defensive tactics. It's no joy to watch a team torturing the ball and "calmly sweeping" 90 minutes long, but oh well, it's Arsenal's fault to be predictable in front.
I think no neutral first watcher can be impressed by either teams. The only players that played well were Hleb, Clichy and Flamini. All Milans' were nothing special. Pato showed good skills in his first game where he played some mediocre side together with Ronaldo upfront. But this game he showed nothing special. Not even close to Ben-Arfa-coming-as-a-sub-versus-Man-United performance that happened last night.
tim5303 21-02-2008, 11:05:AM I am a Milan fan, and thought the game was okay. Yes Arsenal did much of the attacking, but Milan had a solid defence. I think the game turned out exactly how Milan wanted it to, back to the San Siro and sneak a goal and a clean sheet and they are through
Deni_Rossonero 21-02-2008, 12:45:PM i don't think pede's saying that Kaka' and Pato sucks, i think he's saying that they didn't play good enough(at least in the eyes of the neutrals), like pede i was hoping that Milan would take the game to Arsenal as they are a bit down after the wacking at Old trafford, but still hoping that u guys will get the job done at the San Siro.....

I know, but in case of Milan i scream the whole game and just look at the score board and everything else is just a plus, i worship Kaka', Pirlo, Nesta, Maldini, Gattuso and Seedorf and i'm about to start building a shrine for Pato :), so i'm really not realistic when it comes to Milan.
I do watch other games and enjoy in football but after a Milan game i have soar throat, a bad hangover and a long argument with my interista friend :)
lol @ seedorf all game
:p yea
thelordspawn 21-02-2008, 04:01:PM well as usual milan will probably luck there way through like usual. they lack the actual skill/dominance to win in CL. the only reason they aren't losing every game is becuase they have good defense. thats the only reason. without kaka AC milan is nothing. no doubt they have some good player but they just dot play good together. (only the defense do).
Arsenal should've won 4/5-0 but there bad luck and lack of finishing ability caused them to screw up.
and in Typical italian fashion lots of diving/injury faking form AC milan. not a surprise. my favourite one was when the AC Milan guy was supposedly tripped or something and he was on the ground holding his foot. crying like a little b**** acting like he is hurt to try and get the free kick then when he realized the ref wasn't buying it he got up immedietly and continued. was quite hilariou and im surprised the ref didnt give him a yellow card. (he probably had his back turned or wasn't paying attention to him to notice.).
the biggest diver/injury faker is Gasttuso. im not even going to start on that disgrace player.
Italy know they suck an lack the offensive ability to win matches so they pay refs dive and fake injuries to get free kicks o they can score. they have the defense no doubt but no offense. and you can blame the filthy cheats Italians on all the diving in football these days.
and i know when a player is diving/faking an injury ive played football for 16+ years. and ive played with and against the worst (and best) divers and injury fakers.
its not jut diving and injury faking thats ruining football its also players over exagerating fouls. for example i see players just get tapped on their foot and they imiedetly fall down. when they could easily stay up and continue. players these days dont bother trying to stay up when getting fouled and just go down to get a easy free kick. an the stupid gullible refs have a lack of common sense to realize that these players are going down way to easy. like honestly when do you ever see a foul where a player is still standing.? rarely like this is pathetic. im a footballer and im not afraid to admit football is coming full of cheats and unrealistic playing. Eric cantona and nie and the joga bonito thing knows this. but as long as italians continue to play football and play outside of there disgraceful country (in terms of football that is) this diving/injury faking/over exagerating fouls will never stop.
and if you morons actually think Italy "won" the world cup in 06 you are very stupid. they clearly bought it other than the obvious fact you can tell by in every match they dive every 2 seconds and the ref gives them a free kick/penalty shot. but they match fixing scandal which involved like all the top italian teams (which the entire italian national squad comes from those clubs only a couple from other clubs hmm what a coincidence.).
rony31 21-02-2008, 04:27:PM Italy know they suck an lack the offensive ability to win matches so they pay refs dive and fake injuries to get free kicks o they can score. they have the defense no doubt but no offense. and you can blame the filthy cheats Italians on all the diving in football these days.
2 CLs in 5 years, we'll cheat all we want if it gets us that trophy, bitch.
we played a bad game yesterday, especially the 2nd half. we basically sat back and said "ok, let's see what you got, Arse".. we were lucky not to concede 1 or 2, but like Liverpool, Arsenal just couldn't create much in the final 3rd and paid for it. Kaka and Pato just got back from injuries so I didn't expect them to be tearing down the Arsenal defense, and with all the pressure coming inside Milan's half and every attack of ours coming on counters, they never really had the chance to do anything.
and yes, Seedorf's a joke. a big joke.

pede54 21-02-2008, 05:15:PM Damn, at least I was trying to be constructive, but some of this thread is downright insulting and not needed at all.
I didn't know that Pato and Kaka have only come back from injury, as I do not follow Serie A at all. I know Kaka is a phenominal player. I have seen him a couple of times before and he is electric, but last night, well I was hoping to see more of the same, so I was a bit dissapointed really thats all.
As for the Arsenal fan's comments. Mate your strikers DID suck last night. The trouble with the goons is that their heads are so far up their own arses that they cannot be objective about anything. They are also big mouths almost to a man.
Arsenal fans were screaming for Adebayor to be sold last season, and now he is God to them. Thats how fickle they are.
Eduardo is a goal hanger who can put away the easy ones. Take him out of the penalty area and he is crap. He can also be crap INSIDE the area too. Van Persie aint got much to shout about either from what little we see of him, as he's always injured anyway.
Arsenal have a youthful enthusiasm and thats what carries them. Clichy is ok on the attack but not so good defending. Gallas is a donkey as is Senderos. Sagna is almost hopeless. They have Hleb and Flamini who can be dangerous, and the overated Fabregas who is quite good sometimes but not as good as his arse lickers think he is. Ade is usually deadly, (I like him, but not when he dives of course ). Bendtner is pants. Thats about it really.
Between them all, they can pass to each other a million times in every game and still get nowhere. At the moment they are sitting on top of the EPL because other teams have made mistakes, and not because they are so good.
I am relying on Milan knocking them out in the second leg. Please don't let me down Milan. Its not that I don't wanna face them on the pitch, they worry me not at all. I want them gone simply because I hate that s.hitty club. :)
Deni_Rossonero 21-02-2008, 05:20:PM Ole! :)
