I have FA Premier League Stars and I think it is better than FIFA 2001. Why you ask?
For starters the gameplay is not scripted and ball path is very fluid and realistic, also:

- power bar for shot
- power bar for pass
- power bar for through pass
- power bar is good, and is not too fast
- you can lob over goalie
- ball path is NOT SCRIPTED
- KIT SELECTION!!!!!!!!!
- Many Staduims to choose from
- AWESOME weather effectS! they look really AMAZING!
- gameplay is the best by far
- bigger pitch and the players are all spread out, so no pinball effect

By now, Majority here would have known that Fifa Series are getting worse and is a waste of money.

Anyway, i am interested in this game if what u said is true.
but before that, as a basis for judgement,i want to ask u;
whether u had played Winning Eleven 2000? or ISS evo pro?

I haven't played the games you mentioned but I am sure that Stars is a lot more better than those games.

The through passes are incredibly good, you can dive with your player. Sometimes you are shown a yellow card as an example for realism. But the best thing is;
it looks like football, you are playing...

I think that Stars game sucks... Gameplay is way too fast, for one point of view it looks like ok, but near the penalty area, computer suddelnly begins to give fast pinball passes and quickly scores a goal (the game engine is like FAPFLM series have..)...


Also, the ball rolls on the pitch like puck on the ice... And once I gave a low, ground pass from my penalty area to the center circle, and the ball rolled like ice..


So, FIFA series are still the best, but, you know, if they suck for you -- there's nothing you can do about it. I feel that FAPFLM 2000 is a terrible game, for example, but I do not stress out on the 40 bucks I spent on it... But I still think that the programmers there rushed before puting the game on market (how can you possibly play a managment game with no players generating?).... Same for FIFA 2000 -- I did not like it, but at least it was finished... And EA does not owe me anything, that is why I do not stress out on it... It is just a game... They make it a terrible game -- too bad.


What I really dislike is when people buy the game, and come here and brag (I did it a couple of times) that EA sucks, that those guys suck, etc... But why did you buy it? EA gets money and makes profit like they never did before, and it is our fault, mainly... When EA will feel that people do not bother to buy the game, than they will listen to us... As simple as that..

YEAH! U have a point there, thats why I am GLAD to announce that I DID NOT BUY FIFA2001!
(but i played it once at my friend's house and I can say i do not enjoy it.)

Its time that those ppl who had always complained that FiFA by EA SPORTS SUXX! boycott FIFA2001 NOW and then they will start to listen to consumers.
