I read with interest your notes on FA Premier League stars 2001 and I am generally interested in purchasing it. However do you know if there is anywhere you can get new downloads for it? I mean the fun with these games is to get new kits, staduims from the web. I have fifa 2001 and the game is fairly good, but I want to be able to play a smooth game, and be able to hit a yeboah style shot from 40 yards!!! Please advice me on purchase

i don't think there are many site where you can download things for it, i played on fa ps 2000 and couln't find much on the net. but it doesn't really need many add ons cos its got all the kits and all the grounds of the premiership including the mighty elland road.

PS Do you think stars is a better game to play than fifa2001, ie more unpredictable..

fa premier stars 2000 overall i dont think its a better game as it wasn't as smooth as fifa, but there are a lot of things which make it worth getting like what SCTW said. I haven't been on 2001 version so it may now be better than fifa.

like u said if we get a draw or maybe a win at lazio by the time we get to feb everbody should be back from injury and we may aslo have added to the team. (i never remeber if you buy someone now if they are aloud to play in the champ league)

There seems to be some confusion here about Premier All stars and Premier All stars 2001, Premier All stars 2001 is the one to seek out, you don't need any addons, all the latest kits are in there along with every stadium that is in the premier league, plus two or three other ones that relate to world club and euro cup games, the reason that the ball moves at a different pace and speed is due to the fact that untill you win games and accumulate stars to distribute amongst your players attributes to improve the overall ability of the team, you wont see the best of the gameplay in there, the object of the game is to win, win , win and quallify for the various cup tournys along with winning the premier league, the final game is against a super team for the worlds best club team, so to beat them you must at least match them in all player skills, plus off course on the way to that game you have to beat other world club sides in the specified world club league and the cup games....its a matter of choice between Fifa 2001 and Premier all Stars 2001, these games have different control systems in them, but once mastered it provides a great game of football.some ok screenshots can be found at this site........ The Spin meter on the free kick situations is supposed to add spin and
awesome curls to the freekicks....Directional pad to move the crosshairs, this
adds spin to the ball, Add spin left and the ball curls right..
when u take a free kick, use either the directional pad or the curser keys.
and hold down the prescribed key, you will notice the crosshairs can be adjusted to get the required direction.it takes good timing to use it..this method could work during general
game play when you shoot at goal..

Dive Direction......Directional Pad and/or maybe cursor keys

Special Techniques

The direction in which the skill move is made depends upon which
shoulder button is held....< I don't know if these moves can be done
via the keyboard >....There is no mention of it in the manual, IE:> The
use of Alt Cntrl as in the other Fifa football Games...
