can somebody help me

every time a match starts in fifa2001 the game crashed and i need to gibe my computer a hard restart, i think the problem is the nocd patch but i'm not sure

Possible, although I have the same problem with the official retail version. I already tried a few things, but they don't work. I think the game is still full of bugs ! I have Windows Me and it crashes almost every five minutes.

i too have win me and it works fine. it could be a few things that stall the game ...

1) direct x errors (re-install your os or dl the latest drivers - for fifa and for your card)

2) sound card issues - try disabling a few sound options.

3) probably the most probable cause is that when your screen freezes up like that either your CPU or GFX card has overheated due to the requirments of the game. try using lower gfx settings or switching to a different card if you have one installed. I had to play FIFA 2000 with my diamond monster II when it first came out because it hang alot when i used my TNT2.

How do you lower the GFX settings, then?

it's not gfx settings...tried it with it all off. only works in software mode and it's really pissing me off now.
