Broodrooster 13-08-2007, 02:14:PM 35 officialy licensed tournaments? Does that mean that the Champions League and UEFA Cup license are now used for Fifa?

That kind of comment is sooo old! 3 years ago you'd be right, but FIFA 07 was not crap.

renski 14-08-2007, 11:31:AM fifa 07 next-gen was very rushed... they left to much out of the game
Like the english cup final wasn't played at wembley or millenium, third kits were missing, the championship wasn't in it. League cup was missing aswell
djgperu1 14-08-2007, 08:23:PM this makes me wish Fifa 08 waz already here

bobinho22 15-08-2007, 11:46:PM shouldn't there be some more news, after all the demo will be out on august 27th...
and their last news is a month old... every year, ea manages to disappoint me more and more...
BruceLeefan 16-08-2007, 03:54:AM shouldn't there be some more news, after all the demo will be out on august 27th...

EA just does not care about us, players. Something must be done! Something drastic! WAR EA, WAR!!!
robdogj 16-08-2007, 06:30:AM When will the demo for the PC version be out??? I would like to see that one first, before I by the actual game.
sa33ood 16-08-2007, 06:58:AM @ bobinho22
@ BruceLeefan
Guys don't you see what's happening? Every year EA Sports keeps talking and giving news and hopes to everybody before launching a new FIFA title, and at the end they deliver a great game but not as they keep promising in news ad previews; but this year it seems that it'll be different! I think that they've -finally- realized that us gamers do not want talks and promises, we simply need a game that will blow our minds away.
So, I think that this year for the first time since 5 or 6 years, EA sports is going to bring us the best FIFA in a long time.
Don't ask for news from EA Sports. let them take their time and give us something good and satisfying. :)
sa33ood 16-08-2007, 06:59:AM When will the demo for the PC version be out??? I would like to see that one first, before I by the actual game.
Probably on the 27th of August. MAYBE!
Mattwinter 16-08-2007, 09:38:AM 35 officialy licensed tournaments? Does that mean that the Champions League and UEFA Cup license are now used for Fifa?
And 25 tournaments that aren't licesnsed? Hopefully they have tournaments like the World Cup and regional national tournaments, even if they aren't authentic.
In FIFA 07, there were 510 teams, and now with 3 more leagues there are 620 teams, so that would suggest there will be more international teams and possibly more 'rest of world' teams - which could feature in pre-season friendlies, or non-licensed tournaments.
They might, for example, have the Asian Champions league - the rumor is that the A-league will be in, so they would have the A-league and K-league, then some rest of world Asian teams and they could have enough for an Asian Champions league.
ausbarca 16-08-2007, 11:47:AM that'd be the day
Oz_Leeds_Fan 16-08-2007, 03:38:PM Bah..
I have no doubt that the next FIFA release will be another disapointment in the main. EA have no need to shock and wow their audience to make profit, merely keeping them an acceptable distance from complete disgust is enough to keep the wagon rolling for them.
Im fully expecting another typical FIFA release with this one, a few shiny bells and whistles that mask an ultimately shallow and unfulfilling gaming experience.
lol, PC is another year in the "current gen" basket. Way to go EA...
bobinho22 16-08-2007, 04:06:PM i agree with you, leeds fan... ea is.. how do you say.. resting on its laurels...
let's not even get started about fifa being current gen for pc... thank you ea! not...
gamerguy350 16-08-2007, 04:14:PM lol, PC is another year in the "current gen" basket. Way to go EA...
PES is next-gen on the PC this year :)
bobinho22 16-08-2007, 04:21:PM i'll definitely try pes... it's just that i find the lack of licenses annoying... it's just me:(
gamerguy350 16-08-2007, 04:25:PM i'll definitely try pes... it's just that i find the lack of licenses annoying... it's just me:(
The thing is, it's not such a big deal really. Within a few weeks there will be option files available that will make everything official. And then a few months after that there'll be patches that add hundreds of stadiums and loads of HD kits.
I love PES because it's so easy to mod. I have to option files for PES6, an up to date one with all the latest kits, transfers, etc, and a Classics Option File with every team in the game replaced with a classic team. Fifa is not a patch on it.
bobinho22 16-08-2007, 04:30:PM yeah, and another thing i don't like about pes are the controls... they were made for ps i think.. and i'm playing on a pc/keyboard so it's hard for me to reconfigure them the way i'm used to.. that is from fifa:)
Shards 16-08-2007, 10:05:PM yeah, and another thing i don't like about pes are the controls... they were made for ps i think.. and i'm playing on a pc/keyboard so it's hard for me to reconfigure them the way i'm used to.. that is from fifa:)
Time to sell a few pigs and get a gamepad, Bobo.
bobinho22 16-08-2007, 10:52:PM yeah, i've been thinking about that, too...
ah, well.. let's see how the games turn out...
