I'm surprised you're even disappointed. It's obvious EA has given up on enhancing current-gen, and just looks to wow with its next-gen installments.

Hello, I've download the DEMO and it's horrible, the menus are the same like FIFA 07 even the scoreboard and other things in-game.
PS: The screen are correct.

I prefer PES but every year i like to try them both to see what's changed.
But if FIFA for PC is "old-gen" then it's goodbye FIFA for me.
I can't even begin to imagine why they did that.

I prefer PC Gaming to XBOX or PS3/2
I'm not swimming in money so i cannot buy a XBOX just like that.
And PES2008 PC is comming with next-gen graphics.
At least they could release 2 versions of FIFA08, one "old-gen" and the other next-gen...
But hey, that's their loss not mine...

You do know with the pc you can scale the graphics down,assuming the next-gen version would run on practically any decent pc even if it means reducing the graphical setting's but at least you would still get the next-gen gameplay.

Every pc gamer who doesn't have a powerful enough pc to run fifa next-gen at the default graphical settings, would rather play a ps2 lookalike with next-gen gameplay than a straight ps2 port load of piss.

This a dumb move from a dumb company.

The fact is this is the year 2007, the pc version shouldn't be the same as a 6 or 7 year old crap fecking console, what an absolute joke.

Guys, I am going to stay with Fifa 07. I just downloaded 08 and everything is exactly the same as last year, graphics, gameplay everything. At least with 07 I have loads of edited new stadiums, new edited leagues etc. It isnt worth it. Maybe I will try PES 2008 later on in the year but it hasnt got any real leagues or anything so initially it isnt worth it either. What do you think?

This is what it looks like on my Radeon XT9150XT Graphics Card, the resolution is not bad at all, immediately I was able to play with 1280x1024 as usual. And last years demo couldn't do that.

Weird that I have weird shirts, no crowd and weird textures (see my previous screenshot). I've updated all my drivers...

The armabrands looks better,they dont disaperr,the arms dont pass the shirt,the template looks much better,graphics they have updated better,the grass looks more ,the gameplay looks more free,the shots are more dificult

Damn, the dudes who have made this game have never watched football before. Okay they have it's a great game so far except from the pace of the gameplay. It's waaaaay to fast. A real football match is much much slower. And doesn't the ball move in a weird way when you dribble?

Ok,have tryed it now and here is my first impressions of it!

1. runs smooth (not "choppy" like last year)
2. to my big surprise Van der sar was mentioned by the comentarys
3. gameplay not improved since last year
4. I would not call it a "new" game,looks more like a 07 patch
5 .i will proberly buy it since i have all the other fifa games but i think i will wait until the price drop!
I dont think this game is worth the money,judging by the Demo but i could be wrong,lets hope so.....

Its not fantastic but all the new touches are great and the gameplay is improved , as has the Ai. I actually eojoy this game , trying to build up play and outsmarting the Ai. ;)

But.........apart from the positives I have mentioned EA have been very lazy as far as current gen is concerned ,you cant say they did not have enough TIME, STAFF or MONEY:S

Anyway its an improvment but one that could have come LAST year.................I like it.;)
