some say Aug 27th for PC and a Next-gen platform (I don't know which one...) and sept 10 th for the other Next-gen platform...

All demo's from Fifa 2001 and further have always been postponed (1-2 weeks). As long as EA is the publisher, don't expect it to be on time :)

They have only confirmed that it would be this week... Now that can be any day!

Anyways,... EA Canada was closed yesterday and they will start working around 4PM CET. So don't expect anything before the late afternoon.

I’m afraid that I have to disappoint you all, but according to EA Sports there won’t be any demo of FIFA 08 for either Xbox360 or Playstation 3 this week. The same goes for the current generation version Playstation 2 and PC - No FIFA 08 Demo this week.So we have to wait one more week before we can see some football action.

And people please don’t go and bash EA Sports for this. They never officially announced any demo release date. They learned that last year, when the demo was delayed. That’s why they’ve kept their mouth shut this time. The dates you’ve been reading was never confirmed by EA Sports and that is why I updated the post about it.

Why don´t we all just calm down and wait pattiently for the demo, or even better for the game itself? I mean it may be the greatest game ever, but it´s just a game, I think we all may live a few days, even weeks without the demo or the game, but I´m also sure that when it comes out (demo or game) we will all be proud of EA and their great game (the wait would be worth it, I´m sure).

Rip Antonio Puerta, this is such a sad day for football, 22 years old, with a kid on the way, damn it!! What the hell is happening, Marc Vivien Foe, Miklos Feher and now Puerta! Theese guys are too young for heart attacks!! It's from all those pill the doctors stuff in their mouth! I mean painkillers and all those pills are practically a part of their diet! Something should be done!! I wish all the strength in the world to his family, girlfriend and teammates.

i add to the list of heart attack young -dead- footballers ((mohammed abd el-wahab)) from egypt and played as a left back and was 22 as well he played with the national team and was key to our african cup of nations 2006 win and the egyptian team al ahly and contributed to us very much may god forgive all the sins that those young footballers made and preserve for them a place in heaven (insha-allah) -which mean if god wish's- rip puerta

It's unnecessary that you and other guys mispoke on this thread for a long while, moaning the demo wasn't out yet, over and over again. Now you lost the way for the second time, speaking about the painful and respectable death of a player, who surely deserves to be remembered, but not here: this is not the right place and thread. Yeah sorry im with the above post with this one, the death is a tragic loss to the game, but when was the last time you brought cheese at an electronics store, if you catch my drift.

i dont think we will see the demo any time soon. fifa is coming out in early october, october 11 i think, right? it seems that ea is releasing all of its demos about a week before the final game is released, meaning we'll be lucky to get fifa in late september..

for example tiger woods 08 demo came out today on xbox360 and the game is being released some time in early september.. a month before fifa.

sorry about the wrong dates.. i was just looking at the IGN site yesterday and didnt realize that the game comes out sooner in Europe.

i guess then we should probably see the demo on around september 12 or maybe 19.. another thing that i forgot to mention is that most demos on the 360 come out on wednesdays, so it's probably the most likely day for them to release it on the 360.. and then they probably want to release all systems on the same day so..

All demo's from Fifa 2001 and further have always been postponed (1-2 weeks). As long as EA is the publisher, don't expect it to be on time :)

I thought they did updates on Fridays, ah well.......I swear last year the demo came out really early though?

Ok Guys, I have some news. Please no more “when is it coming out” type questions, I will confirm exact dates when I have them.

PC - we are hoping to be able to release this demo sometime this week. This is not guaranteed though. I will post more information when I have it.

360/PS3 - probably 2-3 weeks away. I will post a definite date when I have one.PS2 - unknown, again will post a definite date when I have one.

OK...coming back from an intense discussion on EA foot community to learn you that...PC demo may probably be released in 12 hours:

The very very latest i.e. I've just got off the phone with the people involved is that we're waiting for final clearance to make the demo available. Once this clearance is received (which should just be a simple yes/no) then we can then get the file up onto Largedownloads.

We WILL NOT be able to do this tonight so I EXPECT but don't guarantee that it will be available tomorrow (Friday) morning.

Remember this is only the PC version we're talking about. I'm trying to get further details about the PS3, PS2 and 360 dates. At this point there is nothing confirmed so whatever you ready outside of this thread may not be accurate.

As soon as I hear more information about this I will either post it for forward to the UK guys so they can update you.


an ending to this story maybe, in 12h...:D

How the hell can the 360 one be 2-3 weeks away, by that time the game will be coming out....unless they delay that to...

Yeah, I cancelled the download as it was going to take to long, went back to the ftp download link again and it's crashed.

The demo is 480mb so it won't take long to download on a good server.

Apparently from what I've been told, EA were ment to release the demo properly but someone found the folder and also found that it was browsable.
