Well...I'm not a kitmaker so i can't give you any advice there (although the black on the home doesnt look right), but I do like your choice of kits to make...not alot of the 2nd div. have been done lately so you making Grimsby Town is great.

first of all, your black is way way way too black, I think you shouldn't take 000000 as black colour, use something like 1e1e1e...;)

your logos are very bad cut (pixelised or there are junk pixels) and too big, all over on the fronts (they won't look good at al in-game) and the left shorts...

for the collars, it will come, but if you don't feel like do an entire collar with all the little details, you should use a black background and you'll have only the things who will be in-game (like on my kits)



make a commentary on every single kit will be very long...but it's a way to improve...

for the grimsby and hartlepool kits, I think the good competition logo is the one of Coca-Cola Football League (for all the lower English teams)...you can find it on Google...and a little making (I created the logo by myself)...and those logos are on the two sleeves...

only for hartlepool: the nike logo on the sleeve must be on the left sleeve...

do you check the result in-game (or in OEdit) ? It should help you...you find the .O file in the Ressource Thread and OEdit on the Internet...;) it will help you for the logos position (your celtic logos are too down) and size...



With all these, you will make quality work, but for first kits, it's a quite good job although Nike is the most simple design...but we all went through that way...:)

I didn't quite understand what you said about the Coca cola logo, because i thought the one I used was the actual one...

About the logos, I don't know, but I thought they looked pretty good in the game, I didn't thing the grimsby sponsors was big at all, but I'll make it smaller. I'll have to get Oedit eventually, because it's very tiring to keep going into the game after every single change!

I didn't ask you to "redo" Grimsby and Hartlepool, but if you keep the PSD (or the kit with all the layers), you can modifiy the logos, add some "details", etc.

for the Coca-Cola logo, take a look at this:

it's Coca-Cola Football League badge on the 2 sleeves...if you want, you can create it: the badges are common in all the English lower leagues (championship, League One and League Two)


and as said bybuti, add more details: i don't think the English lower leagues shorts are totally flat...

It's a really good start, though i think the logos edges look bad, they need to be smoother, but otherwise they look good

some explanations:
- the dark is too grey
- the logos on front are too down
- the logos on front, short sleeves (I checked on long sleeves: it was great), socks are too big...so for some you'll need to modify the width, for some the ght, and for others both
- the logos on the shorts are a bit too wide and too close to the center of shorts

this is better than the first attempt...it's a good start, just waiting for an update (maybe) and some serie B kits...;)

Hey, 10Ruud, what does it look like? If you can get me a pic I'll do it...I cant find any picks of the new kit...

gosh...you've got to use better quality logos or colorization tool because lots of things don't look good at all...it seems pixelised or blurry (or there is still a little colour different form the rest of the logo)...and still have junk pixels...

and about the logos, some are too big: on front, reduce the height of all of your logos...and maybe the width (Bari away errea) and the sponsors are too down imo...it should be higher...

you forgot to invert some logos on the left short (last square) and i think logos on the right short are too big (reduce all over the width)...

your problem is just that you can't find quality logos and that you didn't explor all the tools of PSP (to easily and properly modifiy the colours, get rid of junk outline...)...so make a little trip in Paint Shop Pro and your logos and other forms will look much better...;)

and don't forget OEdit !! :)

Lpayer, I appreciate all of your help, you give me very good advice on how to improve, but man! You guys scrutinize so well!;)

It seems as though all of my kits have the same problems, therefore I'll take some time off, revise them, and hopefully by the time I'll post again the kits will be more accurate!

My main problem is that I don't have a very advanced program like PSP 10 or Photoshop CS3 or CS2 because my parents don't really need those kinds of programs, and they would never let me pay $100+ just so I can edit a game!

Right now (please don't laugh) I'm using a trial version of PSP 8, which is about to expire, so I don't have much time. I also have Photoshop 5.5 when my parents got it from work a few years back but Photoshop 5.5 is OLD. But I just don't know how to get those programs...Which programs do you guys use?

Do you guys have some good sites where they have pics of small clubs? I use the Kitmakers resource thread but some kits are hard to find, so I had to make them based on my imagination and/or the default FIFA 07 ones...

What did you think of the Hartlepool, Celtic, and Grimsby ones? Are they somewhat good?

Ok, after tinkering around whit o-edit I finally figured out how it works. I wanted to ask you guys, while doing a search I found a very old thread called "Fifa 07 3D Kit viewer" and I wanted to ask, did such a program ever come out? You know, one specifically for kitviewing?

Lastly, is there any major difference between .png and bitmap files? Is one larger than the other?

and now your work is clearer, we can see that you don't use a good technique for the making, what you have to do is to put a layer template on Multiply at the very top and at the bottom the rest (logos, color...) as Normal: each logo will take the form of the template...;) I can see that BPU logo seems like pastic bag...

difference between bmp and png: png is lighter than BMP, png can support transparency...;)

About their designs, yes, they are simple kits, but the clubs are small too, therefore the kits aren’t going to be overly complex. Sorry if they seem too basic, but I can’t help it, it’s better than the EA-made ones…:p

Hey, a question about o-edit…when you open the o-file and you see the different parts, which parts are the ones that alter the collar and socks? For example to have a long-sleeve kit preview you highlight parts 0 and 2, and to have a short-sleeved preview, you deselect them.

to use correctly OEdit, open the .o file, go to Perspective square (blue background), View->Full view: now you have only this square...now View->Parts->Show all Parts: now you have all parts...

now deselect parts 013 to 016, part 082 and then select the collar you want (parts 043 to 049: 43: round, 44: old school+V, 46: V-neck, 48: old school, 49, rolled-up. Don't use 45 and 47, they are holes...) and deselect the sleeves you want to make disappear (000 and 002 long, 001 and 003, short)


well on the front you should reduce the height of Albinoleffe and alittle bit the height of BPU...I think the logos on the sleeves are good, just reduce it proportionnally

on the shorts, just put the Albinoleffe logo towards the blue design and reduce a bit the width...


for the GIMP, it's the image editor for Linux. Donwload this version (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=4GMOFK63), that's what I use...;)

well, it's not because we play only a few times with those teams that we must be careless about them...

so for this kits, you should move up your logos on the front...and take off the white outline of Arezzo logo...or change the logo...

the logos on the sleeves are way too big...

and those logos are always pixelised and the Serie A TIM logo on long sleeves is very very blurry...

you can use the GIMP on Windows XP, yes...;)


and for the green neck, although we can't see it in-game (wrong, because we can a bit see it), it's very ugly as BMP: when we arrive on this thread, your eyes are just attracted by this...

mantova is a very poor detailed kit but i think you made a good job.. i don't like the serie b logo on the left sleeve on top.. watch out the collar.. it's too pixelous ;) but i think you're improving very fast ;)

Hi Interista,
I suppose Mantova kit concerns the old template... now technical sponsor is new and the 2008 away kit is really different. If you need any photos feel free to ask for. It's not so easy to find out some templates...

Concerning the home kit (always 2008) you will realize that the diagonal stripe is not so red, but in the center colour decresing very much...this new approach seems not so appreciated by supporters :-) but anyway...

CopaX: Yes, you are right, Albinoleffe is from 2007 but I guarantee that Bari is 2008 beacuse I got pics of the 2008 kit straight from their website.

mate wait a second! stop making kits for a while and try to make your collar look better, also you can try to make a little bit of design putting a mesh on the sides of the kit.. then update every kit you've done before and they'll look great! it's the only thing that is needed to make your kits great works ;)

well, the big problem now is the logos, because I'm sure if the logos and their position were better, your kits would be great...without lots of details but great...also, the collar...you should listen to pit's advice, it's a good piece of advice, because your collar still look pixelous...

but your logos are a very little bit pixelous or blurry again but there are improvements...;) and I think the design of the shorts is too big...and don't you think there's Joma and Sevilla logos on the shorts (sevilla on right, Joma on the left) ?...and I think you should be more precise for the design: take a look at the top of the back: the red should go as far as the sleeves...


it's not great detailled but it's a very good attempt, you improved man !!

well, the V is a bit weird (distorded and pixelous)...your logos are always pixelous...you should take high resolution logos...

and please, please, please: change your template, it's very very blurry...and when you do an asics (or adidas, joma...) kit, don't put Nike-designed socks...


for the sevilla kit: it's good...but your logos once again...form the 888.com which has a bit of green to the jomas logos...they are terrible quality logos...a shame...

Lpayer: Man, this is getting on my nerves with the logos thing! I don't see how they are pixelous... Most of the logos I got have been from the website that Pit recommended me a while back in this thread! It has to be the PSP program I am using! I'm not trying to offend you, I am just getting frustrated that I don't know how to solve this logo problem! :(

Isn't the Brescia kit a much darker blue? remember you said you were going to make it darker.

10Ruud, yeah, I had some problems with brescia because when I had it done I forgot to save it under the proper file and so everything that I worked for got lost, I tried to remake it and that's what came out. i told you, i don't really like it, I admit the logos are a bit bad...chances are I'll redo it later in a few days.

My goal is to create the kits that people don't really bother with. I don't like creating the 500th Man Utd Pack or the 100th bayern pack. With small clubs, I have no (or little) competition, which allows me to improve ;)

Well...I certainly like the attitude...you know it's weird but not many people do the lower leagues or for some reason The Scottish Premier League kits (Except for Celtic and Rangers for the most part).

I totally agree... and I'm not a good customer for EASports... I'm still playing with Fifa 2005 ! So double efforts for me: convert your 07 kits into 06 with one kitmaster and repeat this operation through the second 526 kit converter...
To be honest, since I play by PC, I'm not so convinced that FIFA 2005 (updated by good patches) is so worst than the ones more recent...

I really like the fact your doing the Aberdeen the SPL as I mentioned before usually doesnt get done except for Celtic and Rangers...only thing I noticed is the Aberdeen logo on the kits is white not red like you have it, and black on the away kit...not a big deal, but I just noticed that....anyways thanks....Link below with the logo color.

It's hard now because I've just started school, and it's not such an easy ride...I have to balance schoolwork with everything else...but I'll update them...

I'm also having a few problems because I'm switching programs, so I need some time to get used to the new program, so please wait...

Juve GK kits....Great!....Pete made a good one but after converting from 05 the logos were kind of blurry.

No "swift" on the socks....on the socks theirs just a logo of the white bird they use as part of their logo.

Mate, let me congratulate you first of all!! I have to say, you have very keen eyes!! I never thought someone would pick out those mistakes on my kit, but mate, you proved me wrong!! I have to say, you scrutinize very well! :D

Yes, I knew about all those things, and frankly, when I posted it, I hoped nobody could pick those flaws out. I guess I was a bit lazy. However, I have a problem. As you can see, the Main sponsor logo is horrible, so could somebody find me a good logo of the "Easy Fit Conservatories" please?

If somebody can get me that logo, I'll update the kits. :p

Btw, what did you guys think of the Juve kits?

Yes sure...I was able to send you a link...the logo I have is the same minus the bottom part...
as for the Juve...Yes I like them....I noticed (maybe just me)..but the Juve Logo should look more like an egg...yours looks like a circle...and I believe there's a gold star on the left upper sleeve of the GK and 2 gold stars on the home and away kits.
Anyway all and all you make some good kits!

I took a break from Serie B because I spotted some easy kits in other leagues, and decided to do them, but I should be finishing up Serie B soon!

Yes...the Hereford kits are really good...you have indeed improved.
Only thing i noticed was...the Hereford team logo should be on the shorts too...the right side of the shorts have the logo....I also noticed in the past the Nike swish on the away shirt was blue, but revently its black like you have it....the socks are not stripes, but I can't explain what they look like...but once agin real good job and thanks for making the lower league kits.

No...the Home has black socks while the away has white socks and the GK is a fantasy which looks much better than the real GK kit.

They should be right since I downloaded the team's 2008 catalog and saw the kits there...

Hello guys, I’m back!!! :D

Sorry for this delay, but I’ve had MAJOR difficulties in getting accustomed to some new programs (Pit, mate, could we please talk this weekend? I still need some help…) Anyway, here is my FIRST kit, on a NEW program:

RKC Waalwik Away 2008 (Imo, the Home and GK have already been made)

I made that kit with one of 2 programs I intend to try out. This was made on Photoshop 5.5, an ANCIENT program, trust me. (it doesn’t even have different sized brushes!!!) Anyway, because this program is old, very few tutorials can help me on these forums. I would much appreciate if you guys can give me ideas and advice on how to make certain basic effects so my kits look better. It would really help!! (P.S. the Sundsvall’s tutorials don’t really help either)

P.S. Milan white/red, I’ll update the kits soon! Which teams from serie B do I have left?

apparently you missed Brescia away (but also home should be improved, since right now you achieve better quality). For the rest, Serie B is quite incomplete...Chievo, Messina, Ascoli, Triestina, Avellino, Cesena, Grosseto and Albinoleffe (you posted the old kits)...

But do not be worried...we know your school just started, so we will wait for your next kit patiently...

I like the Bristol Rovers...I would only suggest you should use transparency with the logos...both the Cowlin and the coca cola logos...they're good though..and I appreciate you making them alot.

More English Kits...Great!!!.....
I mean for example...the cowlin Logo doesn't have a white background/box behind it,,,,the letters are individually placed on the kit..when I do it with Photoshop I use the magic wand then delete all the white or whatever the background color is behind the logos..the background is then transparent...it makes them look much cleaner.
