So you all remember how Ronaldo's weight was always an issue and always a matter of ridicule....well it turns out that Ronaldo's weight issues were due to a pituitary gland deficiency which makes his body gain considerable weight. Milas has identified this and they are saying he has already lost close to 10 pounds, in a short span...

I think it is an apology that at least half of Spain if not half of Brazil owe this man. It was outside of his control, yet he got crucified for it....IMO him and Zidane the two Great players of the past generation to be counted amongst the best ever

Good for Ronaldo.

This shows the quality of Milan's medical team.

My gripe with his weight is not exactly the fact that he's overweight, but his (and the Brazilian FA's) failure to admit it. I don't think people owe any apology to him. He was fat, due to illness, pies or whatever, and he was playing crap because of it.

Don't be surprised if you'll hear that Ronaldinho and Adriano also have a pituitary gland deficiency.

I don't get it, if it's that, then he's had it all his life, and how does one go through his entire life without finding that out? Especially an athlete. That aside, he wasn't always fat, it was a more recent thing, and I think that's what had people complaining.

Maybe Ronaldinho. As for Adriano, his problems are or will be more related to his liver...

interesting.....most likely has something to do with all the 'roids that the PSV staff pumped him up with as a youth to pack on the muscles necessary to withstand the physicality of the European game.....

If I remember reading somewhere correctly, it was this pill that he was taking that was causing him the weight problems.

So hopefully now it's all settled and we'll see again the best striker ever strut his stuff for Milan (Y)
