the only music band from Finland I know is Amorphis... I like their "Tuomela" and other songs... Others -- I do not know... Scandinavians are good at heavy metal..

Yeah we have good heavy metal bads well know too. Then of coarse the Leningrad Cowboys , Bomfunk MC's which has been number one all over the world except the u.s., Darude makes great trance music.... his music has been number two in Britain.. and HIM who has been number 0 in Britain, number one in Austria and Germany........ I can't remember any Russian bands.. can u remind me of some .

Jari -- well, there is no Russian band ever existed that would be popular in the whole world. Part of that is language, and the accent Russians speak with when talking in English... During Soviet times, like 70's-80's, a couple of pop female singers were popular in Eastern Europe... But in the world...

Oh yeah, there was that band named Gorky Park that was playing pop music back in late 80's, but when the Soviet regime was gone, they moved here to California and began to play a hard rock music, without a terrible Russian accent... In Russia I liked to listen to them, but here, the only place I found their CD was the upper-far stand of the used-CD store http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif Oh yeah, also there is a Russian band in Toronto, they play..native-folk Russian songs with all the original-Russian instruments, but also add electric-guitars to it... they sound like fun, you know, and their concerts pile up a lot of people... they are popular, a lot of people know them, but not everybody likes them.. *EVERY* single team that has ever played Olympiakos have commented on the crowd. WE ARE CRAZY. Players can't talk to each other because of the noise. Not just when we score, but the whole 90 minutes. Real, Valencia etc... Their players have ALL commented on it and were amazed... I am not being naive here, it's the truth. Our crowds probably make 15x the noise the "North" makes...


Did u know the Man U-Pana game their were about 5,000 Greeks their. They were yelling THE WHOLE TIME. NEVER STOPED. The English were looking at them like they were crazy, but they love their team. Thats how it is in Greece.


PS Those 5,000 Greeks made more noise than 60,000 English fans...

Nice pics.... You have at least more supporters in Greece because we usually have only about 5,000 people at normal league matches but they are loud. In Finland flares aren't allowed in stadiums, if you light one or if many light them, the riot police will take them off u and give u a big fine and kick you out of the match. I hope they can make them legal soon. It is illegal here because of incidents in the past and we are trying to stop hooliganism from occuring.

Jari that's the difference between fans from the south and the North. Who said Flares are Legal in Greece? They are as much as iligal here as anywere else. But in Greece every fan is a die hard fan. Wait an see how many of the good old boys of GATE 7 show up in Anfield tommorow for the match against Liverpool.

As far as orginized. I followed Olympiakos through there European campain in the years of 92 and 93. I have been in Monaco and Madrid against Atletico. In the game in Athens H had a flare get into my Eye. Watch all the second half with one eye, there was no way I was gona miss the match. Went to the hospital later, all was alreight in the end.

I gotta take it from u that's pretty crazy! =)
I wouldn't dare light a flare at a match the police will probably hit me with a crobar!
