Lupe FiascoYou're trippin'... Lupe is good but not anywhere near Wayne's status.. not to mention they're completely different. It's T.I. Weezy is too watered down because he's on EVERYTHING.Whaa??? T.I.'s new album does not compare to his older stuff.. If you think Weezy is watered down, it's cause you haven't been listening to his mainstream **** too much.

I'm guessing you haven't listened to any of his mix tapes. His CD was definitely nice, but his best comes from the mix tapes. Plus, besides from being the best lyricist right now, he doesn't have to rap about the normal hip-hop ****, he can actually rap about other stuff. Which in my opinion gives him much more depth than Wayne.

I'll admit Wayne is good, though. He definitely grew out of the horrible Hot Boyz crap-rap group and is holding his own solo. He has good lyrics, and raps some real stuff every once in a while, but I don't think you've listened to Lupe enough. He outdoes him in just about everything, freestyling, originality, fluidity, content, you name it.

Weezy is hot right now but he is not the best rapper alive. If you're looking at songs put out in the last 2 or 3 years then yeah maybe.

And no Lupe isn't better. Definitely not T.I. either. T.I. can make good songs, but so does Young Jeezy or Chamillion but there's really nothing that truly sets them apart from other rappers.

Nobody can hold a candle to Nas, even though his recent **** isn't nearly as good as it used to be. He's the only rapper who's allowed to compare himself with Biggie or Pac.

Nas is a living legend. He can't really be compared, at least not to any rapper currently alive. And I agree, Hip Hop Is Dead wasn't his best album, it was good, but not great. But no one can really come close to Illmatic or It Was Written, that's thug poetry.

I still think Lupe is, if not already, going to be something special. His lyrics and style are way different than any other rapper out there.

I'm not really that familiar with Lupe to be honest, other than his album. But it sounds like I might have to cop some more of his ****, whats a good mixtape?

But yeah man Nas is crazy.... Tracks like Rewind, I Gave You Power, etc. it is thug poetry indeed. On Illmatic I couldn't even pick out a favorite song.

Doesn't matter what you think about weezy either.

Nahh it actually does matter because I know what I'm talking about. You come in here saying you don't like Nas, what the hell do you say that for? Are you saying that because you don't like him Nas is a worthless rapper? Retard. You don't have to like him but if you can't appreciate Nas as a rapper you know nothing about hip hop. That's like if someone came out and said "oh yeah that guy Biggie was average"

And for the record I have more Lil Wayne mixtapes than you could imagine.

Nice reason for deleting your post too :| "******* black people"? Haha I like how you say that in a thread about rap :D

Fair enough. I definitely like I'm Serious, Trap Muzik, and King the best, and two of those were put out awhile ago. But I don't think the Carters and Like Father Like Son compare to those albums.

Oh dude, Cham is ******* sick. Cham is definitely better than Weezy. Just needs to build his catalog a little more. I think The Game is better than Weezy too.

EDIT: Ghostface is better than any of them. Even if you only count the past 2 years.

Cham is way underrated. Although I don't like any of his new stuff, his mixtapes are pretty damn good. Mixtape Messiah II is awesome... And most of it is freestyle, which is pretty impressive.

YES! I'm so pumped for that! I need another dope ass Raekwon album in my life.

Actually I haven't listened to Mixtape Messiah III, but I know what to expect, Cham is the greatest freestyler since the inception of freestyling. Sound of Revenge was sick and I KNOW his new album will be just as good. Once Cham has 4 albums out he is going to be the Godfather. He's going to be a total legend on par with Biggie.

In my opinion Elzhi is the best emcee right about now, other contenders would be Black Thought, One Be Lo, Phonte and Median. Talib also stepped it up for Eardrum, which was much better than Beautiful Struggle but obviously not touching Train of Thought or Blackstar.

One Be Lo is the man, but he needs to put out another real album. Stillborn and Fetus don't feel real, so all we really have is Sonogram and Masters of the Universe, which are great, but not much material over like 8 years.

U8wQIMHw8eADude I'm a big fan of Lupe man.. love his ****, his rhymes... but overall RIGHT NOW.. Weezy's stuff is better. He spits fire on every track, his rhymes are ridicilous, he's featured on every remix of every song.. see where I'm getting at? I see Lupe as more of a conscious rapper... his main single this year was about two skateboarders falling in love? He's in his own category.. he doesn't rap about "hip hop stuff" whatsoever cause thats not Lupe's style.

However Lil Wayne has a lot more going for him.. it's that New Orleans swagger and the way he handles himself when he spits and is in videos... everybody loves the dude for a reason.. Lupe doesn't do that. I watched a 12 minute interview with Lupe the other day; I got bored. Ever seen Wayne on MTV Cribs? **** is hilarious! Their attitude is reflected in their music... ya dig?Weezy is hot right now but he is not the best rapper alive.

He's the only rapper who's allowed to compare himself with Biggie or Pac.I'm not even talking about all-time... just currently. Like I said... "illest rapper out there right now" and that's Weezy.

Plus, besides him i dont do southern rap whatsoever.. I have a hatred of 3-6 Mafia and I have a low opinion of Chamillionaire, Ti, David Banner, etc.. It's just that I don't f*ck with Southern **** so much, so I can't listen to it all that much.. so don't be offended haha.

Nas shouldnt be even discussed in this thread. He's got his very special place in hip hop history... AND anyone who says they dont like nas.. I just cant understand that..Fair enough. I definitely like I'm Serious, Trap Muzik, and King the best, and two of those were put out awhile ago. But I don't think the Carters and Like Father Like Son compare to those albums.I totally disagree.. never been a big TI fan but I appreciate the albums you mentioned.. but both the Carter I and II are way above those albums in value.. at least for me. Like I said most of Wayne's best stuff is not of his commercially released albums..

Weezy F. Baby? That's a pretty cool name and was intrigued by it when I heard it (don't ask why; I don't know). I don't like rap/hip-hop, but felt compelled to check him out on YouTube anyway. I liked what I heard and tried searching for Weezyavelli (latest album?) online, but couldn't find it.

I think his latest album was "Like Father, Like Son" with Birdman, and his next one is "Tha Carter III". He puts out a new mixtape everyday, but those don't really count for me. If it's that good, you release it to the world, not just 300 heads.

When The Game released The Documentary he was still with G-Unit and that album became the first multi-platnium album by a West Coast artist since Dr. Dre's 2001 album which was released back in 1999.

When he released The Doctor's Advocate even though it wasn't as successful, there was still some crazy tracks on it such as One Blood, Let's Ride, Why You Hate The Game, Wouldn't Get Far (even though this one isn't really as ruthless as the other ones), Too Much.

I don't know how you can say he dissapeared and was only hot for a "month". Btw, he is still releasing, every now and then, tracks dissing 50 Cent & G-Unit. It's just a shame that he will retire after his third album.

Help?
