Hi,
First a couple of questions for you;
What leagues do you have active, what was your last job, and what reputation do you have?

If you have a couple of leagues active it shouldn't take long for someone to get fired and you can apply - be realistic though, if you're reputation is bad, then you'll have to go to a lower league team.

Well, it also depends on where you started to play -- in the Premiership, or Conference. If you started in conference, and you got fired, it should be really hard to get a job. You must know that, especially in the beginning of the season, to find a team without manager is very uneasy. And, believe me, for example, you got fired in the conference, 3rd and higher division teams wouldn't like to see a manager from the conference, especially if you got fired in such lo division.
But if you are applying fot job in lower divisions, all you need is patience -- sometimes you will wait for a month just for a team to tell you whether they want you as manager, or not.

cheers,

Yes, Bure's right - it also depends on where you started, but I find that the game treats the Scottish 3rd at the same level as the conference - and there are some horrible teams there http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif I'm currently doing a double management thing with Celtic (I'm rocking Europe) and Huntly (where I'm 200,000 in debt, and play at 'Unknown Stadium) http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif

I have played half a season(my first)in Modena(italy) Serie C1A (I believe..)
Got fired ( even though I started to get better results and having a striker who was in second place in the scorers league(or what u call it in english).

There have been a lot of teams that have lost their managers, but they don't respond to my request of taking over the team..even the teams in the lower leagues..

Have waited for about 1,5 - 2 months now...

What other leagues do you have active? Try some of the lower German, English, Scottish or Spanish leagues - don't worry, an offer will come. Just wait till you get better and then teams OFFER YOU management jobs!

I got English, Swedish, Spanish active..(and Italy of course..)
Not so many cuz I believ it goes slow with a lot of leagues active, right?

For me to be a manager in Germany, do they have to ask me...?

Do you have the English conference and Spanish DivB active? If you have the german lower leagues in the 'background' - then yes, you can only manage teams there if you are offered. As for the game slowing down - I have a P3 450 (128mb RAM) and I can play 8 leagues active and it's still pretty fast.

you are the first who "translated" my nickname... http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif

I had the same problem once... But all I tried to do is not to get fired. I took over Gretna (english conference), got promoted to Premiership in 4-5 years. Couldn't do that without cheating, though. When I applied to some jobs in conference, the directors of Hednesford accepted my offer in 4 days -- maybe they thought I could promote them to the premiership too http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif
so, my advice: try so that directors do not fire you.

Yeah, Russian Rocket's correct - look for jobs where the Chairman of the club has a high patience level - like 13 or above.

Go on holiday, with the settings as

''apply for a job at higher rated teams''

leave it for 30mins and you should have a (lowly) job

Or...
Manager Menu > Job Information > click on any vacant clubs > apply for job
