Hi guys.
I worked with Esterry in CEP chants addon but because it isn´t released yet and for some reason i can´t contact Esterry i decided to start installing and releasing the chants that i have in my PC.

I have already done a couple of leagues and i will start realeasing them soon.
My patches will be in .smp format so it will be quick and easy to install.

But makes a .smp takes much time and because i have lots of chants to do i think i will need some help.
If someone is interested in help me i can upload the chants in .wav and them that person install them manually and make a .smp.
If i have this help the patches will be realeased much more quicker and everyone can start playing with them.

This will be compatible with fifa 08 too. We just have to wait for the SM08.

I would like some help in find some chants in the net too specially for the follwoing leagues/coutries:
- 2nd divsion teams (Spain, England...)
- Israel teams
- Romanian teams
- Serbia and Slovenia teams.
- Cyprus teams
- Hungarian teams
- Czech and Slovak teams

You can search in google for their supporters sites or just search in youtube.
Make sure the chants are long enough (not less that 10s) and good quality (without noise or background music and a good volume).
For recording from youtube and to cut the diferent chants present in a video you can use Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/)


Before installing my chants i recommend you to install the Italian mega patch made by billy that will add the Italian chants to the game

Warning1: Before install a chant pack make sure you backup the audio.big located in fifa07/data/audio.

Warning2: SM is a little instable and can corrupt your audio.big very easy so i recommend you to :
1)install a pack,
2)save,
3)exit SM,
4)test in game and see if you listen the chants or if there are other crashes
5)If everything works fine make a backup of audio.big and re-open SM to install another pack. If it crashes restore your previous audio.big and do it again.


All my packs are open source so you can copy or edit it and release it.
You can use my sound packs in any patches you want.
I just ask if you do any changes to the packs to put my name in the credits and to put the new link for the updated pack in this thread.
I encourage everyone that thinks that he can make my patches better to do it.(Y)

This pack is optimized for the bulgaria league in CEP.
If you don´t have CEP you will have probably need to change the linked team inside SM.
Or if you prefer to install the chants manually just rename the .smp file into bulgaria.zip for example and open the zip file. You should find the chant files in .asf inside.


Next packs will be dedicated to greece and russian leagues.
I have already started working in French Ligue 1 chant packs and after that i will made Belguim, Holland, Portugal and England packs.

20 Gb + here :) Download the Italian Mega Patch it's worth it, it installs 20 chants average per team for all Italian teams from Serie A and B as well as the National Team. Just make sure you install it prior to Bruno's packs as it is an exe patch that modifies the audio config too.

Hmm, everytime I install these, my game crashes when I load up a match. I followed your instructions that if it crashes, then put the copied audio.big back into the audio folder and then trying again. It still crashes...

As i said in 1st post chants editing cause lots of crashes. When i made the packs i have to restore the audio.big lots of times too until it works.
Sometimes i don´t listen the commentaries,other my game crashes at the start and other times i can´t exit the game so you just have to be patient.:p
It´s a SM problem i think.

About the other english teams chants i found 6 chants of reading in my PC but i don´t have any chants for the other teams like Blackburn etc.
If someone could find a couple i can join everything and make an addon for English leagues.

I need help too finding chants for Eastern European teams from Romania, Hungary, Serbia etc.
I know i can find the chants in youtube easy but with the start of the school i dont have many time to finish the packs that i am creating and to search and convert at the same time new chants so if someone can record chants from youtube in wav format and them send to me i could join them in a pack when i have time.


About Germany leagues chants, i want to look to the F4F Sound pack first.
If they are good i will make a smp for myself. For the obvious reasons i won´t release them but i can send it by PM if someone is intersested.

This week i will release Holland, Russia and maybe belguim leagues addon.
After that i will probably do Argentina and Portugal. (Portugal it´s almost done i just need to add the new season chants).
I have some chants for teams from Countries like Poland, Croatia that are easy to make so i might make them soon too.

About the crashing, sound master has problems when importing too many chants at once and/or when saving with the menu save function during edition and can corrupt the audio.big file with missing commentary, sound, chants (or everythig combined) with crashes as a result. The crash likely happens when after the match you want to return to the regular Fifa menu and get booted to the desktop instead, sometimes also a BOD (blue screen of death) or freezing (you'll have to reboot the PC) as a result.

This behaviour occurred also in Sound Master 06 and is a result of importing too many sound files at once and/or saving during edition and then resuming edition without leaving the program and restarting it.

I wrote Rinaldo several times about this problem but unfortunately he couldn't reproduce the problem on his machine to try and solve it. Yet several people are affected judging the bunch of mails I received asking for help on my sound packs, if it's any comfort I'm affected also lol.

Safest thing to do is to import every chant manualy, but that is a long job as you have to assign every chant to every team and event manualy.

Besides the hard manual labor you can also try the following but in any case always make two different backups of the audio.big file (one prior to import and one after) :

Import one smp file, do not save in sound master itself, but choose exit instead, a box will pop up asking to save your changes, answer yes and then be patient and let the program close itself, it will then save the audio.big properly. When using the in-program save from the sound master menu, most of the times (especialy on audio.big with many chants in it) the function will close itself down before having saved all changes leading to the corruption and crashes described in the first paragraph of this post.

Go check ingame if the chants and commentary work, if yes, close Fifa, take a backup of audio.big and do the same for the next smp as described above. If no, it's audio.big restore time and you'll have to try again until it works.

Also, NEVER close sound master using the "x" on the upper right of the program window, this can cause corruption also, instead chose exit in the menu, choose yes on save changes and let it close itself, this can take several minutes on Fifa's with many imported chants, sometimes you even believe SM has frozen/is blocked but this is not the case, let it do it's job and go grab a coffee in the meantime.

Hope this helped.

P.S. : To know how to import chants manualy in sound master go read my old sound pack readme's at breamster for fifa2005 or 06, the procedure is still valid for 07 and I bet it will be for 08 also.

The infamous crashing bug is the only reason I made my mega italian pack as an .exe patch instead of smp patches, the audio.big that gets installed with my .exe file is guaranteed crash-free, and will prevent many people from pulling their hair out due to missing audio. If ever Rinaldo manges to squash that nasty bug I'll switch to smp immediatly to preserve compatibility with the other sound editors from the Fifa scene.
