There was an Englishman, a Scotsman, and an Irish man who were somehow stuck on a small island with nothing but sand.
Suddenly a genie popped up and said i'll grant you 1 wish each.
The Englishman said "I wish I was in Barbados" and he was immediately gone.
The Scotsman said "I wish i was back home"
He immediately went.
Then, the Irishman who was then alone on the island felt lonely and said "I really miss them 2 great guys I wish they were back here"
By Sunset the Irish man had 2 black eyes and a bust nose.

I would call these stereotypes more than anything else.

The same joke would be told in many parts of the world, putting different nationalities or regional variations in. In New York it would be a Spic, a Mick and a Polack, whereas in Scandinavia it would be a Dane, a Swede and a Norwegian. In Ireland, the joke would be told about three men from different counties, whereas in South Wales they would be from different valleys.

The one thing about these stereotypic jokes is that the people who are the butt of them find them funny as they can laugh at themselves (which is why the Englishman never does the silly thing) It's true! :D

People keep talking about racist jokes, I for one should be deeply offended coz of all the irish jokes, actually I rather like them and laugh at them, the irish jokes are fun....the reason why I like them? coz deep down inside, I know that I'm not stupid :rolleyes: :D
