Help?

Anybody buying that album? He is my favourite rapper and i been listening to this for a whole straight week and probably will for a much longer time. This has got to be my favourite album i ever heard and definietly, in my opinion, finally something worth spending the money on. Every song is great, unlike other hip-hop artists that have like 4-5 decent songs and the rest are just skips. I am saying hip-hop artists because so many of them right now can't rap and therefore can't constitute as rappers (i'm referring to guys like Yung Joc, Young Jeezy, Rick Ross, Swizz Beats etc., not guys like Common, Talib or Lupe). Chamillionaire picks out superb productions from relatively known but not hugely succesful producers and turns songs into gold. He puts like 90% of the rap/hip-hop artists to shame and is definietly better than anybody from the south side of the States. And although i keep hearing a lot about people complaining that he is singing too much on his songs, i actually enjoy it much much more than somebody like Akon or T-pain, you can feel his true emotion when he sings, plus he has such a great voice as well.

So anybody else on here, shares my views and going to be in the store on September 18 getting that album?

It's not as good as Sound of Revenge. I would probably use your description of this album as my description of Sound of Revenge. Chamillionaire is dope though.

Sound of Revenge was definietly a killer as well, but you can just see how much he matured and progressed from his early days at swisha house, unlike his certain old buddy of white descent.

Actually, I'm a pretty big fan of "Get Your Mind Correct" too.

Oh i like his old mixtapes as well "Get Your Mind Correct", "Controversy Sells", "Mixtape Messiah" etc, its just that when i hear Chamillionaire i can see how he took what he learned over time and applied it to his talent to become an even better rapper. However, when i hear Paul Wall, i still don't hear much difference from when he was still with Cham. They were both really good at the time, but one improved while the other stayed back. I don't know maybe its because Chamillionaire used to write a lot of rhymes for himself as well as Paul, but there is no denying that they are on a totally different levels now.

Mixtape Messiah was great (Y). the remake of 'Ridin' (Ridin Overseas) featuring Akon is brilliant.

might get the album :p.

He's from Texas, so I have listened to most of his stuff. He's arguably the best rapper from here, besides maybe UGK. I think after Sound of Revenge he definitely showed his talent, then he put out Mixtape Messiah II and now III. But honestly I didn't really like Not A Criminal or Hip Hop Police, so I kinda lost interest. I might check it out, though.

Yeah, I see what you're saying. Cham definitely wrote a lot for Paul Wall, plus Paul was more on the production side when they were together and only rhymed a little bit.

Please don't purchase Controversy Sells. Cham left Swisha House under some real shady circumstances and they basically put out all of his stuff without his permission and released that album.

Treat people the way you expect to be treated. So don't try to make it look like i'm a jerk. If you gonna come in here and disrespect my opinion just like that, then i don't see a reason why i should respect yours.

You disrespect my opinion by the line "that's where i stopped reading", which implies that my opinion is soooo way off the mark that its not even worth reading the rest.

If you wonna show respect to people that don't agree with you, then either elaborate on the dissagreament or don't say anything at all. You don't see me going into your Lil' Wayne thread and laughing at everybody who thinks he is the best rapper alive, when truth is he is far from it, he isn't lyrical enough to be one, he isn't meaningful enough to be one and he most definietly not succesful enough to be one. But i wasn't doing that because i respected your opinion of Lil' Wayne, until you had to show up here and mess up the whole thread.
