Real Soceidad winger and Portuguese international striker Sa Pinto could be on his way over to Newcastle if they come up with up with the money. Coach Bobby Robson is very familiar with Sa Pinto since Sa Pinto used to play for Sporting Lisbon. Newcastle appear to be the front runners for Sa Pinto ahead of the likes of Valencia, Rangers, FC Porto and Sporting Lisbon. Sa Pinto has already rejected his final contract offer from Real Soceidad so its not a matter of if he moves but rather when and where too. Newcastle will be more exciting to watch with Sa Pinto in their starting 11.

Newcastle are skint, we will have to sell before we can buy and I expect a first team clear out in the summer. Predictions: Duncan Ferguson sold abroad, Ketsbaia to go to West Ham, Nobby Solano sold to Real Madrid, Liverpool to buy Didier Domi. Robson to bring in a new pacey striker to liven things up front, an attacking midfielder, (although I think this is where Kieron Dyer will end up), an out and out winger who takes people on and gets to the by-line and a commanding centre back, (we have a surplus of defenders but they can't organise themselves out of a wet paper bag). I don't think Newcastle will win the league but if Bobby stays in charge then I predict a top six finish next term.
