Yeah, that goal would be good IF only it wasn't in the Turkish league. We can all agree on that.

I think Obafemi Martins has scored better bicycle kicks than that one. It's just that it wasn't posted.

just in case u still thinks that turkish league sucks.

oh ok fine, wc2002 3rd placing.

* actually i also hate the turkish league since most users here (esp. the turkish one always try & tend to show "hey check out this man, he's the next ronnie blablablala".it's annoying. but still i do respect the quality of the league tho.:hump:
it's not the best league in europe (& i'd love to say it's far from being one of the best)but it still does have their own quality

so ppls stop posting bulsh*t "ah it's in the turkish league" whatsoever ;)

Another top class goal by the same man (Umit Karan).

So it's not about the quality of Turkish league, it's about the high quality of Umit Karan.

seriously it was NICE goal, but i still dont see the big fuss about it. Good team play though as the little spinning move, nobody was on him, any decent soccer player could do that. He's scored much better. Nothing to cream your pants over Rui Costa in that goal, IMO

Hmm, that's a little bit to much, but it's your opinion, i think it's a fantastic goal, but i may be suspect, whatever...

diroix, great goals you've shown there, i like the second one better!

It was a very nice goal. Its just that all the hype that surrounded this goal really made me expect something different and all i saw was that. To compare i do not know if you remember the Domigos goal 7-8 years ago. where he beats a defender and then pulls that same move on the goalie and scores. Rui did it on nobody, it probably wasnt even necessary. still GREAT TEAM GOAL, nothing specacu;ar on Rui's part

Filipower
26-09-2007, 02:04:PM
it was necessary, because the pass was made to a spot a little bit behind him, so he turned to catch it with his right foot, so it wasn't unnecessary, but it wasn't his best goal ever either

I knew you could have said something like this as an answer, but i also assumed you were much smarter, therefore you would have chosen to give me a smarter answer. "It wasnt a joke" is such a random reply. I am really dissapointed.

I will make sure Ahmadinejad knows about you.

Ok, nice to see all the SG conventions have been respected in this thread. Stlightly surprising though that it took until page 2 for things to spiral into unrelated randomness.

PS: Baptista's goal vs Betis was pretty cool too!

I didn't think that goal was that great. The defence just played really slow and slugish. It was very amateur like. (and not the good kind)
