robygr from evoweb sent these files; you'll have two more resolution options in the settings menu of PES2008 Demo...

for 1280x1024

for 1440x900

replace theese settings files with the original, and voila!

I hope the guy on evo-web also makes a 1680x1050 resolution patch.

Actually, that 1280x1024 file added 1680x1050 as well ;)

you can put it on high only, if your graphics card supports pixel shader 3.0.

Evo-web is making progress fast. The stadium effects (fireworks etc.) are off in the demo.. Ive also seen demo screens of controller select with 2 gamepads and Japan (allthough everyone is called "Dummy").

I can't seem to run the demo without major slo-mo kicking in almost immediately, on a 3.2GHz P4/Nvidia 7600GS/2GHz Ram running Vista.

Can anyone else run it decently with a similar spec?

This "Widescreen fix" fixes nothing.
It just adds the custom resolutions...

Imagine playing 1680x1050 (wich is 16:10) at 16:9.
Right, players are stretched to the fullest!

I'm playing with Samsung 206BW and 1680x1050 reso. Everything is perfect. Anything isn't stretched.

I've done for 1280x1024 using hexedit

And now i now a little about konami's coding in hexedit, thanks to dumbie
