Hi all,

Anybody got any issues with Fifa 2001 stalling with Geforce cards? I've just upgraded my system (from 333MHz K62 to 1.2Ghz T'bird) and I've slung out my old voodoo card and replaced it with a Geforce 2 MX 400. Sometimes Fifa runs, other times it stalls. I can't get NHL 2001 to run at all. I've downloaded the latest NVidea drivers and DirectX 8. I know these games are very reliant on direct 3D.
Appreciation in advance for any suggestions.

You are not the only one. Geforce 2 technology for some reason or the other sometimes crash with some very new computers. I work at Best Buy and i have had a couple of complains from customers with video cards using the Geforce 2 technology. I also heard that the problem dosen't exist in Geforce 3, but for 400 bucks, it's still a problem.

I know why yer pc is screwing up. I have a GF2MX and the stuff you mentioned. DX 8a and 2k. Its not the Geforce or the games. The problem is the via chipset that you people have. I had the same prob but then when i had to replace the mobo i got a Intel one and i was so extatic to see those games run. I suggest you dl patches for AGP somewhere which are needed for amd mobos. Imo if you have a chipset that is Via. Its TROUBLE.
