Hey, had the game since last Wednesday for the 360 and I'm loving it. Having problems winning 50:50 headers in my opponents (human and CPU) 18 yard area though. I very rarely can win a header on goal or to clear it in my own area.

What's the secret to winning headers?

There is no secret. It's simply pretty much impossible to win headers in the box.

jostle for position (L2 on classic on the ps3), then go for the header.

yeh you just gotta use the left stick to try and get your player in the best possie then i find if you use the pass button to clear headers you get the highest chance of winning them, it doesnt clear them very far out of the box, but at least it stops the show on goal

im tired of this...ive scored off one corner were i put a short corner on and elano ran up and kicked it in from near post... 9/10 headers i lose...the one i get my blokes go no were near scoring the goal...the ball goes flying way over the bar or wwwaaaaayyyy wide...ive given up trying 2 put a corner in the middle of the box...i now just lob the ball out to the guys at the top of the box and try 2 hit a long shot...i no i said ive only scored one...wat i ment by that was one that was in the box...coz i think ive scored nearly 20 were the defender clears with header...it lands on 1 of my guys out side the box...chest down...one bounce and BANG! top corner stunner!
im not thinking its 2 hard 2 win...im thinking were all just still used 2 07 were u could win any ball no matter wat ur positioning was with the guy

The jostle function works well as you can get into a better position to head the ball.

But, if the opponent has better upper body strength and heading ability then they have a better chance of winning the jostle.

As in real life it's a battle for the ball.

Yep, the jostling definitely is the answer. Now I can win more than 50% of the headers, defensively or offensively.

The game's just about perfect for me now.

would that be L2 and the left stick on PS3? i thought you just moved it with the left stick, also on goal kicks look down at the mini map and move your striker in the space between CB thats in for the close GK and in between the midfielder thats on half way line, this means that if you win the header on the long GK then you have an open striker to head it too, its such a good trick!
