Am I missing something, or is it not possible to do a custom button configuration? Ever since FIFA 99 I have used the old style of triangle for sprint, circle shoot etc for all football games (well, I'll be honest, FIFA 08 is my first FIFA for a while so I don't know what the set up has been in the past).

But in FIFA 08 I can only seemingly choose between 4 presets and can't assign my own config? I hate using a shoulder button for sprinting.

Am I the only one that is bothered by this lack of funtionality?

i too am a big fifa fan but i traded in 07 2 weeks after buying it i too have a problem with the controls and dont see why they cant allow a custom button config which includes and this is my problem using the d pad instead of the analogue stick to move the players. why when there closest rival pes 08 can do this and not fifa but i have noticed in alot of EA'S newer games they seem to tell u what controls u can and cannot use. cmon ea get with the programme and allow gamers to do as the adverts say have control of the games
