View Full Version : Chairman accepting offers - Ruining the game.
Conan 20-10-2007, 09:29:PM I had a pretty good game going with Blackburn Rovers and I managed to sign Diego.
He was my top scorer and I was second in the league, then in January, Inter Milan bid 17 Million and my Chairman accepted and I couldn't do a thing about it.
This is a joke. I was really enjoying this game and now I don't see the point, I have lost interest. I'm thinking of starting a new game now. Pretty annoyed.
Zlatan 20-10-2007, 10:05:PM Lol, didn't even know that was possible. It does make the game more realistic, I suppose, but I'd get pretty annoyed too if it would strike me. :p
Johnny_Big 21-10-2007, 01:28:AM Then go play Fifa 2008. FM is for men.
(H)
Its not something new to FM... My suggestion? Get a new chairman - change team
Parra Power 21-10-2007, 06:29:AM Or just take the money, buy the world's three best 19 year olds and give them a few years.
proxnet 21-10-2007, 09:13:AM It usually depends on the 'interference' stat of a person. This is from FM07 but i'm sure even 08 has it.

non-coaching staff don't have viewable profiles
Zlatan 21-10-2007, 10:46:AM Not if you have FM Genie Scout installed. :)
proxnet 21-10-2007, 02:38:PM Not if you have FM Genie Scout installed. :)
Works really great for me. (Y)
Conan 21-10-2007, 02:42:PM Is there a new version for 2008? Where can i find it?
Dipanjan 21-10-2007, 02:59:PM you can find it at any Game store.....
Conan 21-10-2007, 03:09:PM I meant FM Genie....
Zlatan 21-10-2007, 03:30:PM They are making one at the moment. Not one available yet, I believe.
check the downloads page. there is a link to an editor. at least there you can find potential; ab. of the players you're looking at
maleato 22-10-2007, 12:44:AM In my Palermo game I lost Zaccardo and Cassani this way =/ Well, got 30M in other hand :p
Stotty 23-10-2007, 03:06:PM If your a lower league team and sign any cracking youths, as soon as they start to develop and the big teams catch wind, all your offers are pretty much accepted by your chairman.
I even had David Gill accepting 17m from inter for Vidic.
Nimreitz 29-10-2007, 11:48:AM This happened in FM 2007 too. Big deal. The key in FM 2007 when you got big was to prey on poor clubs who's chairmen accepted lowball offers for their stars. If you're small and pissed off about your chairman accepting offers, then you need to either make more money, quit your job, or buy a better player with the new cash.
this is stupid, i doesn't even want to sell him. i mean come on, he is a f*cking wonderkid, 20 years old and you just ruin one of your club hot prospect. this simply doesn't make any sense and the best thing is nothing i can do to prevent this transfer :s***:

rpvankasteren 30-10-2007, 01:49:PM Add a manager to Inter? If you have the Italian league active of course.
Dodgy in the ethics department, but that you could do to prevent the transfer. :P
Kibe Kru 30-10-2007, 02:45:PM This is something that should have a "turn off" option, as it can harm people's fun. Sure, turning it off may not be the most realistic stuff, but having your players taken away from you even if you are at a big club and not being able to do anything isn't exactly funny... Of course, people who want max realism would be able to have this turned on.
aszlance 16-11-2007, 06:38:AM I learn this from others forum and works fine with me.
Put the player sale value to 0 and then select 'reject all offers'
The big team will offer 0 for the player and you will reject the offers.
the chairman will not interfere for 0 offers.
Azrael 16-11-2007, 09:06:PM Won't the player feel undervalued?
Nimreitz 02-12-2007, 11:39:AM This is a month too late to help you, but you can always offer Pique a better contract than Inter offers. There's no law that says he has to accept their contract if you offer a better one.
TimmyP 16-12-2007, 02:28:PM Personally, I think 17 mil for a player is a lot, you could buy 5 or 6 up and coming youngsters in all areas with that, and create a future of superstars.
