I need your help. All I get is a black screen when I start the game and I can't do anything about it. Does anyone know what is the problem and how to solve it. My configuration is Athlonxp 3200+, 1gb ddr ram, gforce 6800gs...and win xp sp2

Is your game legit?

Yes, It's legit. The weird thing is I tried to install it on some of my friends computers and two friends could play it and I and other friend could not. I updated the gpu drivers and still no clue why the problem exists...other ideas??

It's obvious it's a video problem. Same thing happened to me with FIFA 08. the demo would go blank and just stop there. It worked fine on my bro's pc though.

i'm not sure whether the resolution of the screen makes a diference, i doubt it though....

I maybe found something...when I tried to start editor it said Could not load database! and I found out that the game was only 220mb big while on the computers that it worked on was about 700mb. my database directory is only 88mb. During installation no errors were reported, it said installation completed succesfuly. I think that something is wrong with installation but dont know what and why...

Couldn't it just be the drivers on the graphics card need updating?

Use windows update, download everything and also get new gfx and sound drivers. new chipset drivers cant do bad in your situation.
Maybe also try the windows 2000 compatibility mode.

Well if the game doesn't install properly, I don't think it has something to do with a malfunctioning graphics card. I think it's your CD indeed.
