Hey guys i'm fairly new to this. I have bought this game of ebay which was a stupid idea. seeing that i ended up with a spanish version of the game. I have downloaded a frenc patch (as french is closer to english than spanish) which contained a eng.db file in it. Which told me to extract to ...\EA Sports\FIFA 08\data\cmn\fe which i have done without any success. Can anybody help me fix this problem or have any other ideas, so i can atleast read the main menu?

I reckon you will still get Spanish commentary, but trying creating a text file called USER.INI in your FIFA 08 folder and add the following line:

AVAILABLE_LANGS = eng,spa

(I'm not certain of the 'spa', it might need to be 'esp', so check the name of the .DB file in data\cmn\fe and use that)

Now when you start the game you should get a prompt for which language you'd like to use. If not, delete any existing 'A. Profiles' folder and try again.

Thank man, that woked as the english option came up on game start. The writing under ea logo turned to english, however all the main menu options are still unreadable lol. Would you be able to send me your eng.db files as i got mine from a french patch. (or would it be the same). Any other sujestions to help make the menu readable?
