i have installed a new graphic card-nvidia fx 5200 pci 128mb. fifa08 demo runs fine but the full version is a problem. whenever i open it, it says
'fifa08.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close'. i donot knw the reason. my game is fine as my friend can run it perfectly. i have installed newest drivers for the new card.
my sys specs are:
p4 2.4 ghz
356 (effective) ram
nvidia fx 5200 128mb pci card
my sys is totally compatible wid the required specs for fifa08 after i bought the graphics card.
i have also installed directx 10.
please help me reagrding this.

Your graphics card is probably not powerful enough to run the game well. Try running on low settings. Since this is an older fx card, try using an older nvidia driver like the 66.93 driver. This card is also not directx 10 compatible, you may want to try directx 9. Also, your memory is mismatched in size. Can you list the memory specs? Brand/size/speed and what slots you have them installed.

pretty much the same 4 me. i launch the game and the screen blacks out and eventually i have 2 restart my PC. I've got the following conf.:

Celeron 2.8G
512 mb ram
NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 4000 with 128 mb video memory.

Anyone have any ideas? I'm all ears.

i have one 256 mb ram in ddr1 slot and one 128mb ram in ddr2 slot.
shall i go back to directx 9c? how do i start the game in low settings??

Hi, Sorry to say, your graphics card is a bit weaker or on par with the original poster. Have you tried using older drivers? I would recommend the 66.93 for G4 and FX cards. Try running on low settings.

ok im downloadoing that drivers but do i just install directly or first uninstall the present 1 n den install this one?
also how do i run the game in low settings??

Hi,

You need to uninstall the previous driver and then install the new one. Driver clean-up can become messy. I use "Driver cleaner 3" as well - google it, it's free. Here is what I do:

1) Go to add remove and Remove the nvidia display driver only - do not reboot

2) delete the c:/nvidia folder

3) empty recycle bin

4) run driver cleaner and select "nvidia" from drop down list and select "clean"

5) reboot into "safe mode" and disconnect from internet- hit f8 while loading - hit cancel when windows finds the new hardware-

6) run drivercleaner 1 more time (same as step 4)

7) emty recycle bin

8) run new driver executable

9 ) reboot and adjust your display settings

I think you can set your game to run in low settings by going through Myfifa and settings

i'll do it n see but on games low settings i cant even load the game how do i make it to low??

Hi,

Did you try uninstalling ane re-installing? You can also try to repair the installation by exploring the dvd and select "uninstall" - then select "Repair".

You may have corrupted the fifa08.exe.
