My god the sports shops in this nation are screwed. They are poorly run and are run by a bunch of ****ing tossers.

Today I went to get the new Man Utd kit with Veron on it. So like all the previous times I meant to JJB, and got my size, and right as I was paying the cashier, her assistant came back and told me that they were out of 'V' so I said fair, and then I asked if they had any 'G' for giggs. Well the tossers at JJB said they had none, Or'B'.

She said that they only had the white numbers that the majority of the teams use. I left the store, wondering why the hell on the Day of the kits launch of the biggest club in the world how they could not have the numbers sorted.

So After leaving Drinky and Joe, I walked on a little further, found another JJB, and I got the same outcome, but different circumstances, they had equiped themselves with extra 'V' ion white only.

Discouraged I tried to find world of soccer, and it had closed down.

Time was 6:18 I remembered a shop called soccer scene in town. It closed at 6:30 I sprinted with backpack thorugh the commuting office workers about 2 KM and made it in right as the manager started the locking up process. Someone explain how the official store of the FA, cannot be eqipped with enough FA numbers, while a small family owned shop can.

Tell me how far you would go for your club, because total today I walkd over 15 km.

Please I want to add some fun stories to the forum
:)

Help?

How unlucky! I have a sore near my house and i am waiting till Auguast to buy an official Man U kit with my last name on the back and number 7, for 115$ canad. It's near 100$ us. I like the gold one and the good thing is that i have a card, that makes 10% discount! It's just niiiice. But i haven't got any interesting story like you are schmeichel01. Maybe i will think and tell one.

To get my team's shirt I get the bus from across the road from my house, get off outside the football ground as it's on a bus route, go to the club shop and bingo - brand spanking new jersey with name and number of your choice for nearly £40...

And it only took me four miles - further into town there's two JJB's and an allsports...!!!

Well 15 km is worth if you get what you want. :) What do fans do to get close to thier fav teams. I think the major stores need to think about this.

It wasn't for te shirt, there were thosands of them, but no one had any of the letters left for the players name I wanted.

Anyone that knows me will know 95% of my shirts have names in it.

You don't realise your luck really ...
Coz over here in France the sports stores are the worst i've ever seen anywhere else in Europe
Example I live in Bordeaux and the new kit is usually launched in July (like it x=was this year .. start of July) .. and you can't actually find the kit in any stores until something like Christmas ... and forget about printing names on the kits ... no one has the official numbers or letters. Anyway I don't really care i only buy EPL merchandise. And every time i go back to the home land i stock up on kits, and last time I went I bought new Leeds nike kit with Bowyer, and put Adams 6 on an old Arsenal kit i'd had for a few years, plus new Toon away with Dyer 8 on it.
But the best way to do it is to ordre via internet or the phone it works even better ... I am in touch quite often with the NUFC store and always order the Newcastle United kits when they come out with the Shearer 9 on it of course and i have never been disapointed by their services. And this year was no exeption as i got the new 2001/2003 home kit start of May only a few days after it had been released (1st May)
So I say the best way to do it is get contact with the club store and via the phone
coz JJB and JD 's printing are usually done by lousy teens ... just like me actually... who don't give a damn.

PS Soccer SCene (London) best football store i've ever been to !! :D

Jeez... Here in São Paulo, I take a bus to go to the Palmeiras club, there I can buy the official shirt for about $20. You can choose any number. And if I want to put a name on the back, it's $1 per letter!

Help?

All my kits have football players names in it too, that's why i decided to buy a gold kit for a new season with nothing on the back, so the shop will put my name on the back for 25$.

I have not seen a Newcastle shirt in any store in Melbourne for 3 years. I, however, bought a cheap "made in Thailand" toon shirt for $20 (£7). I have great pleasure in training in that. By the end of this year i will have bought a new toon shirt from www.nufc.com (http://www.nufc.com) . But not until my studies are over.
