i've problems with fifa 08 when entering ingame at the loading screen fifa 08 crashes anyone can help me?
My spec Asus p5b deluxe Intel core duo 2.6 ghz geforce Gt 7950 audio soundmax integrated 2gb ram
Lastest nvidia graphics driver 169.04. Cleaned into safe mode with driver remover Nvidia Beta drivers with Whql 163.75 same errors..

No i've not modified nothing.. the same game fifa07 runs correctly on my second pc a p4 3.2 with gf6600 256mb..

I've also had this problem. Just incase anyone else has this problem, the way I fixed it was to remove the D. My Squads folder in the My Documents\FIFA 08 directory. :)

Okay im facing this problem as well. I created a tournament and when i tried to play my first game(with arsenal v/s fenerbahce), fifa crashed at the loading screen. Then i quick simulate the game and onto my next game (v/s celtic). Now fifa wont crash. The match started perfectly with no problems whatsoever.
I have imported many faces, but no kits, no boots. So does it have something to do with the faces? And how can i solve this problem..

delete FIFA08 in my document file whenever you make changes with creation master08.Always make a backup of fifa08 before making any changes OK FRIENDS

Hi I have this problem too.
I tried to modify FIFA with the different boots and balls and now all my old profiles don't work anymore. Whenever I try to use it it crashes and comes up with the error report thing.
I deleted the D. My Squads but that doesn't help either.
I made a new profile and it works but I want my old one with the stuff I had unlocked and things like that.

Hey, I loaded up the disk and I did repair, and it all went back to normal, and had all of my manager modes, profiles fan shop stuff and replays.

Well, my fifa also crashes on loading. it's a stupid thing. i've already installed several patches (mega update from FIFA KOREA, Russian League, Uruguay League, Greek League and 3 argentinian teams from a patch with Asia, OCeania and America Competions)) and the game allways worked fine. However, now, allways that i add a team or a league in Creation Master the game crashes. I can import the players and, no problem. but if i create ou import a team it's all messed up. Can someone help me??

Thing that i did and that didn't work:
- delete FIFA2008 folder on My DOcuments
- Reinstall CM 2008
- Reinstall Fifa 2008
- Import patch (close) and than open again CM 2008, do a simple modification and save
- Replace old teams (form Rest of the world) by new ones
- Create a League and impor new teams to there

I installed many patches, balls,boots,gloves,armbands,faces... masses of them and the game always funtioned but after continually patching, the game eventually broke. Ill list some of the reasons i found for the break and how I fixed them below. Hopefully they may help someone :

1. Custom Adboards used on ID# 99 - reverted to defaults
2. Teams after custom transfers reaching over 30 players - laborious league check of teams
3. Incorrect default Santiago Bernabéu stadium set to real madrid. - delete and reinstall stadium
4. Files not installed correctly/missing - detected and fixed with FAT master from rinaldo.
5. attempting to use a career since editing the player database - restart career (i found manager master to be fine with the career in question but caused issues with new ones)
6. Incorrect far/near shaders used on custom balls patches. - redo balls
7. corrupt fifa.fat - rebuild with FAT Master from Rinaldo
8. custom font files - delete and replace with originals in data\gui


Generally player database/team additions will not stop the game from loading but will crash when the team is attempted to be accessed in the game. So its likely your "load-in" crash is a result of a menu/fat gfx error.
All in all id generally advise anyone modifying fifa to make constant backups before patches and to try to break down patches and install them manually.
Unfortunately tho patchers try their best many hidden bugs can come to surface after long playtimes. So stay in control and individually add things to your game :}

things like moving all the folders in your data/gui folder out to a temp folder to see if it works and/or changing the .ttf files in your data/gui directory back to the original ones (found on the fifa cd). Also use rinaldo's fat master to rebuild the fifa.fat.

Normally, to backup my files, i copy the folders gui and cmn, plus all individual files (including zadata) inside the folder data. And then I continue editing. if there's any problem i restore those folders and files. Is this a worng way to backup?

sorry about my ignorance but i started working with Creation Master some weeks ago and i still don't understand very well how it works and how it implicates in Fifa performance.

one other thing you may want to look into is that after your fifa.fat file reaches a certain file size the original .exe and the popular cracked .exe will no longer run the game. There is however a modified version of the fifa08.exe available at http://fifasoccer.ru/en/files/?info=10298 which allows an almost unlimited size fifa.fat.

well, that seems a good solution but i really don't know if it will work for me. Like i've told before, if i install a new logo for just one team (ex: v.guimaraes, in portuguese league) it already crashes, so i doubt that it is caused by a "oversized" fifa.fat file. but i'll test all your tips and i tell something here later.

Can anyone help me? I've a similar problem - except it's to do with faces. I installed some new faces and made sure they matched the players' ID numbers, but then my game crashed when I tried to quit a game. Here's what happened.

- Make new faces on CM08, save onto Fifa.db.
- Delete all original files inside FIFA 08 folder (not the one in program files - the one with 'D. My Squads', etc.
- Start a game with Arsenal FC (first on the list, and there were players whose faces I had edited).
- Subbed on 3 players straight away, with new faces, to see if it would crash (Gael Clichy, Abou Diaby, Eduardo).
- Conceded throw in, subs came on.
- Play continued as normal.
- Tried to quit game, game froze and crashed.

Can anyone please help?

seems like its not the faces causing the issue if they are loading up and visible in the game, though it may be worth exporting the ones you imported in cm08 to an image file and checking that what u put in is what has come out :}
its commonplace for subs to cause current texture corruption... aka current on the field players going bright white and even game crashing on exit.

No, when I finished a game. That problem was fixed.

But now, I've got a worse problem. Screen doesn't even load, and it has the 'Don't send' thing - the Error Report thing. Don't know why. All I've done is import quite a few players (a few hundred at least) and a new team and a few patches. What's wrong - and how can I fix this?

PS I've also tried using FAT Master to regenerate Fat and Bh files - and I've tried to expand database using CM08 and I've also tried regenerating FAT files on CM08 too...

Also, the Russian site's update for unlimited FAT size doesnt work. It has a virus and the exe doesnt work.

I've got a problem - I expanded the database, added the clubs I wanted to add, and got everything working well; the game loads, and I've even managed to play several friendly matches. However, when I try to load a tournament, the game crashes. Here's the error message:
