Just remember this is a game and not a simulation. If you want a real simulation go in a field and play yourself a real game, Fifa 2001 is just for fun. Sure the spin move is ridiculous just dont use it if you dont like it. I dont use it and I do fine. If other people use it against you learn how to time it.
People complain about goalies... I dont know why.. sure they might be better than real life counterparts.. but well.. I have managed to scored quite a few goals from outside the box, so it can be done.. even in world class mode.. you cant play world class like you play rookie.. you actually have to pass the ball and look for the open spaces.. geez... and by the way YES my midfielders score goals and the wings make the crosses to the forwards and follow the play.

STOP COMPLAINING SO DAMN MUCH ABOUT MINOR DETAILS, LIKE CELEBRATIONS OR THE ADS DONT ROTATE.. THATS JUST RIDICULOUS

Very well said, although there is always room for improvement (otherwise EA would not release a new FIFA every year) if you do have something you would like to see in a future version of FIFA visit my site at www.fifa2002.gq.nu (http://www.fifa2002.gq.nu) and post it in th forum or e-mail me.

Is complainig about leaving out Portugal a minor detail? How does this not bother people? What if you felt like replaying the Euro 2000 tournament or at least the semifinals you can't do it. Luis Figo is the most expensive player in the world and they don't even have his counrty. that sux.

have you thought about license problems.. and I wasnt talking about leaving teams out because I agree that they should include portugal in.

Do I care about license problems? No. If they really wanted to get the license they could they are just laaaaaaaazzzzzy. What pisses me off is when they say "this game has the worlds best teams." Portugal is one of the top ten countries in soccer and their not even in the game. Thats a freakin joke. Im not blaming you for the problem. So why do you get offended when people give EA their come-up-ins. They make a poor game they get a poor rap thats all. And about that thing you said about actually playing soccer this game has nothing to do with it. I will never be on the Portuguese national team and neither will anyone on this forum so playing a video game is as close as will ever get. Its sad but true. I was called to the Sporting Braga try out but was cut, and the only great player I've ever played with is Rui Barros (former Juventus and Porto player) last month. So it has nothing to do with playing real soccer so please don't ever say something that ridiculous again.

Agreed. Some people that complains has no brains at all. Nobody force you to buy fifa 2001 did they? You go to that game stall and did you buy every game even that you don't like?

maybe Portugal demanded too much money. And I repeat I wasnt talking about teams being left off. EA does its best and if they leave someone out they do. Like iceboy says no one forces you to buy the damn game anyway.
I was just talking about people with complaints about rotating ads, or no snow, or the celebrations. They also have a time limit in which to put the game out and the have datelines and needs to get done in time or everyone complains that is late or what not. If they didnt put a game next yr and took an extra yr to develop a great game I wouldnt mind, but a lot of people would complain. And also, people complain about the game, and say well in NBA they did this or NHL, the difference is for those games they dont have to spend as much memory for teams because there is only like 30 teams and not 200

Yup, EA may have left out your team, name me another game which has more teams than fifa.
Including all the leagues.

Valioso - Agreed the whinging about teams not being included is annoying, just wait for a patch or add it yourself.
But I think youll find that people are mainly complaining about gameplay flaws that have been around since fifa99, also about it not being a sim - EA are continuously saying its the most realistic football videogame available which is plain bollocks.
FIFA is unfortunately more like Virtual Striker now, aiming at the Tekken/arcade game fans.
MrKnowitall - do you mean theyve left out the portugese league or the national team?
If its the national team then I agree, thats plain stupid on EAs part.
