PerthGlory 06-11-2000, 11:20:AM Basically no (in my opinion) The graphics are incredible but the gameplays nothing that couldnt have been fixed with a patch - dont expect any major improvements. If youve got team and stadium updates for 99 then its probably not worth your while, they said theyve taken alot more motion capture since last version but I cant see any improvements. If all you want is gloss then yes but if you want a game to play aswell then no. iceboy83 06-11-2000, 11:47:AM d/l the demo first, it's free anyway. Different ppl has different opinions. ------------ iceboy meffer 06-11-2000, 07:53:PM I swear if they stuck with FIFA 99, and put all the graphic improvements ontop of the existing gameplay, then slowed it down a little. Then that would be an ultimate game. Hey PerthGlory dude, you go to all the home games right? How much does Wherman suck!? I was yelling my lungs at at Bernd Stange to take him off at the Sydney Olympic match. will75 06-11-2000, 08:02:PM Originally posted by PerthGlory: Basically no (in my opinion) The graphics are incredible but the gameplays nothing that couldnt have been fixed with a patch - dont expect any major improvements. Don't you just love being a loser and sitting back and playing the cpu all day? In all seriousness the internet play is worth the $40 unless you just SUCK. Which i'd have to assume you do since you never mentioned the greatest improvement ever to the fifa series. So keep having fun with the cpu/AI. Your just too cool. Why the hell is there a small bunch of you who take any FIFA criticism personally? Multiplayer is always the best way to play, and fifa also sucks severely here aswell. Ok theyve got internet play but who cares if the game is no fun to play, fouls outside the box are called but as soon as you get in the penalty area it turns into ice hockey. EA obviously knows this because youd have a dozen penalties a match. The best multiplayer football is in ISS(insert flame here) when you have a few people and select all of the teams in a cup. It shines here because each of the national teams have their distinct styles and you have to adapt your play to their style. Where in fifa every bloody team is the same and whoever can pull of the most Street Fighter "skill" moves wins. Its the AI of your team mates that is important and in FIFA its absolutely shocking, watch as your team mates stand in the same spot while you run round in circles waiting for movement. Okay you can tell them to run forward but once they reach this forward point they just stand there instead, there is only ONE tactic in FIFA and thats counter attacking because the AI doesnt know what to do when you hold the ball up. If you need this much "fun" to prep up your ego via the net then just sit there and do that. |
