Right then, so many people have asked why portugal r not in the game and i have answered this question about 6 times, so here it is:
Portugal are not in FIFA 2001 because EA have been refused permission by the Portugese FA to use thier contries, or their club's names, it was the same with Galatasaray, who were not in FIFA 2000.
I hope this will clear the matter up for good now.

AND WHY THE HELL Portuguese league won't let EA put portuguese teams in the game?!?!? Can't they see that is a better way of showing portugues football getting everyone to know its teams?

i agree man, it would deffinetly boost Portugal's footballing reputation, but they want money, not recognition

Having your name in a video game doesn't do anything for your reputation, that's done by winning in real life....not having Portuguese teams in Fifa2001 really doesn't bother me at all since we can easily edit teams and soon there will be patches and updates available. As long as fifa2001 is a great game and more realistic then previous editions, nothing else really matters that much.

kill4benfica - i agree with you, it's only winning in real life that comes reputation and that doesn't matter if the portuguese is there cause you can patch them and what it really matters it's the gameplay.Of course you're right,but it's more like a symbolic thing,tas a ver?lol

It would be nice to have those teams included for those of us who will be playing FIFA2001 on PS2...we dont have the luxury of easily applying patches.
