I thought I saw somewhere a kit that said it had numbers on the front of the jerseys? [may well have been England].

Is this possible and how?

yeah it would be possible, its just a matter of making a new number image and assigning it to the shirt or shorts in the correct place or something like that (its roughly like that for NFS with lisence plates and so on)
i should think one of the whizz kids 'round here could make a program for stuff like that.
