I live in Australia and installed FIFA 08, however i noticed there are no patches allocated for the Australian or Oceanic region. Where can I find an up to date patch that will work and allow me to play online, please dont link me to european/american patches as they simply don't work at all.

Hello

When you boot up fifa, you'll be presented with a language selection screen. Take note of these languages, then head over to http://largedownloads.ea.com/pub/patches/Fifa/08/ to find out what region your FIFA08 is from. Then dowload the appropriate patch corresponding to your region. Hope this helps mate :)

I'm guessing that you have a locale.ini file located in your \Program Files\EA Sports\FIFA 08 directory. If so, temporarily move it so when you boot up, you'll be able to see the language selection screen.

try browsing to C:\Program Files\EA Sports\FIFA 08\data\cmn\fe and take note of the names of the .db files. hopefully then you'll be able to determine what region your fifa is from

edit: maybe you have the UK (english only) version?

I`ve got one big problem i cannot solve. I don`t know how to use two versions of FIFA08, one unpatched (which i use for championships with no patch) and one with nordic2 which i use to play over hamachi. I need to know how can i have them without uninstall and install FIFA08 over and over again for any patch.

Previously i installed FIFA08 with no patch. Copied the FIFA08 folder on another partition, applied there nordic1 and nordic2, but when i try to play with other users who have nordic2 i receive the error "Squads database is not the same with the player".

How can i have two versions of FIFA08, to launch them individually i need to play with different users.

Did you run the roster patch first?? If not then you need to. If you did, or it is that patch that is failing, then move the 'old file not found' dialog box out of the way (by clicking and dragging its title bar) and then let us know (or better yet, post a screen shot) the filename and percentage progress in the dialog underneath.

I've been having trouble running FIFA after installing the Fifa Superpatch 2008 - when I load up my tournaments (created AFTER installing the patch), everything's fine; however, when I try to play the first match, when I've selected the side and chosen the lineup, it crashes while trying to load the match. Has anyone else had this type of problem? What can I do?
