i going to make an NASL league i need support in making the teams

like people to make kits, flags, numbers for the teams faces for players and stuff like that.

also to help with squad info. and pics of kits for these teams and stuff.
i can and will be making the teams themselves and making the players the emblems and banners for the teams.

its an old canadian/american soccer league founded in 1968 and ended in 1985

it had lots of legendary players who played in it pele, beckenbaur, george best, carlos alberto, harry redknapp, johan cruyff, sam allardyce, hugo sanchez, bobby robson etc etc. it was a really good league

I'm not sure about which collar is which, sorry, but its the one with a V and turned down like a stiff edge (kinda like a polo shirt but sharper)

minis can come later the kits themselves are the most important ATM and yes i noticed. good thing for you he has his real face :D some of the players like cruyff will be on multiple teams as i'm not making specific years i'm making best of versions of the teams. but again you can change the rosters as you want to later.

They're ok for a first attempt. Can they be modded though? Have you got the PSD files for them?

i used rinaldos KDM08 so no

just cut the shorts area part from the template i used and paste it over the shorts to fix them. (use opacity to place it correctly) and you should be able to edit fine.

only real problems i had is the shorts and socks. also the adidas emblem on the shorts and shirt couldn't find a old adiddas logo.

Please use my website to get player info, jersey info, and some pictures (although I haven't updated the website in a few years).

Out of the 20 teams that you had selected, there are a few that might be difficult. The Phil. Spartans only existed for 2 years, so a "best of" team won't have many players to pick from. Similar issue for KC Spurs, Det Express, and New England TeaMen.

Also, I had put together NASL alltime teams for a similar FIFA project that I had planned last year, but it never really got too far. I ended up combining some teams into a single team to make the teams more fair. Feel free to use these rosters, if you want. I made sure that each player only ended up on one team. So for example, George Best played for the LA Aztecs, SJ Earthquakes, and the Ft Lauderdale Strikers, but I only put him on the LA Aztecs.

I'll put a few teams in each post, so the posts don't get too long. Each team has 23 players and an appropriate number of D, M, and F. I've also listed the years that each player played for the team, in case that info is interesting.

I'll start with my favorite team, the Chicago Sting.

good idea but i plan on putting a player on multiple teams in the league and releasing it like that becvuase my goal is to make a NASL ALL-star league. for every team in it to have the best players to ever play on them.


as you said phili spartans was only 2 years than id have a squad of the best 23is players from those 2 years.

so in general a player might be on multiple teams.

but the only main players id like to have on multiple teams really is cruyff beckenauer best carlos alberto pele etc. basically the REALLY famous players. the rest i doesnt matter that much to me.

if you can create squads using the REALLY REALLY famous players multiple times and evryone else only once than thats cool with me

also plz make the squads based on the teams i listed

you can use players form all versions of that squad that share the same city name (example new york cosmos and new york dsfsdfsfs but say new york cosmos changed to new jersey ddd at some point Dont use the new jersey years players just all the new york years players.). get what i mean?


thast how i want it to be but again i want to work with everyyon and make 1 great NASL league cause if you want to use each player once new york cosmos would only have 1 of pele beckenbauer carlos alberto etc. and that would suck.

for now base your squads on using a player more than once (most most famous players more than once like pele best category famous).

after you read above i can make 2 versions of the league

Version 1.
Absolute best ever versions of the teams i listed (therefore players like best cruyff would be on multiple teams)

Version 2 (which i would make 1st)
All-star versions of the teams while using a player only once.


oh i know say like phili spartans turned into montreal manic but i wanted to represent as much different cities as i could and add as much canadian teams compared to american teams as i could. to give an wide as selection as i could.

so for now base your squads on same city names as the ones i listed. (like new york cosmos and new york sfdgsegsdg's) even if say phili only existed asphili for 2 years still make the best squad from those 2 years.

Great patch you are creating - I've been hoping for this patch for many years.

Looks like you've got all areas covered as far as info & graphics are concerned.

My only suggestion - please make sure the Tea Men are the New England version & not Jacksonville. I saw quite a few games in New England back in the day & was so disappointed when they relocated to Jacksonville.

im busy with school now so i have reduced time it also depends on how quickly ppl create the kits. when all kits are created and i create a rosters itll be release ad dont worry it is new england.

only thing we needs now is numbers for the teams to be made if not i will probably just use MLS numbers.

Well, I had them all saved, so a bit of a colour change here and there and viola. I've been avoiding it, but I'll give the Teamen a go. If you can give me mini advice I'll try them too (i.e. how do I get the lines not to overrun - look at my test Manic mini).

well save the minikit into a png document, then open it and copy the layer of the minikit template. put the template EXACTLY over the minikit and select with the magic wand the surrounding area of it, then, select the minikit layer and press delete, then delete the minikit template, and done ;) I think that's what you wanted to know, right?

well we have some bad news samuel has drastically reduced time for kitmakign and minikit making and we were depending on him for minikits. as he does really good minis. and released them quickly.

so we are going to need a new minikit maker.

also we need some fantasy numbers created for the league. (for now) and eventually release REAL numbers for all the teams. but for the numbersif no one can release fantasy numbers by time for release i will just use MLS numbers.

oh also im busy with school so i have reduced time in making the squads (in terms of the players everything else is done pretty much.) so im dong my best to get the squads done ASAP

yes we need more people to make kits/minikits for the league cause Sam has very limited time now. so minis will be released alot slower.

we only got 2 teams left for FULL kits and 3 teams with missing GK kits (of the teams that kits were already made).
but the kits shouldnt be a problem. as we got ashman who isn't on limited time. but is open for you to make some of the remaining if you want. (we could always use 3rd kits lol though that is optional and can always come after patch is released)

so if you could help by making some minikits. thatll be great. the kits are all linked in first post. you probably need to talk to ashman about the pics he used to make the kits same with sam. if you needs pics to make the minis.

as they are the ones who made most of the kits (makispla and somene else made a couple).

if worse comes to worse you can use the fifa 08 kit model with o-edit and preview the kits to see what they look like and use that to make the minis.

so we defintely could use you for making minis. id prefer you use the template Sam used so all the minis are same template but if you cant make minis with that template use your long sleeve template. whatever suits you best.

again obviously whether you help or not is up to you.

Yeah I still can help you with your project.But as you know I am busy making the 90s right now and will soon start with the 80s.I dont have time to search for players who require faces from NASL.I have sent you the classic players patch it has faces for many.If you want more I can help you if you can get me the list.When I finish with la liga 90s I will send you faces of some European legends who are not there in the classic players.cmp.BTW you keep an eye on my projects as it will have faces that you might require.

We could also use some adbaords (1 generic for the whole league or mulltiple w/e) for the league and some flags.

What all is missing I have an Encyclopedia of the NASL that has a ton of info and the complete logo set on baseball cards from 1980 that I've scanned in.

Had to include my Team the Hurricane. My dad had Season Tickets one year and we went to a ton of games I barely remember the games a was so little.

So I figured out how to do the in game logos with CM08 but the Menu logo always gets distorted a bit (128x128 full). The GUI logo using 100x100 of the 128x128 looks fine. What's up with that? Is there a trick for doing the larger 128x128 so it looks better??? It gets compressed looking.

I don't understand. The logo is a 128x128 png. It looks just like the Menu image I made when imported. I then save and when I go back to it it has artifacts. This has nothing to do with my image does it??? It's whatever CM08 uses to convert it. What else can I do to the image???

oh firefan if you can/know can you give exact positions for the rosters (that are remaining) for the players you know or if you want create exact positions for them or w/e cause i dont know much about the league so when making the rosters im not sure what exact position to make them. (other than gk and striker obviously)

oh i only plan on having 4 subs a team

oh i also plan on making 3 NASL all stars teams

2 of them are based off overall all-star selection numbers 3 pts for 1st team 2 pts for 2nd team 1 pt for honorable mention.

so theres 3 essential all-star teams im making the 1st ad 2nd one based off the list given at a site

and third overall all stars based on all peoples opinions.

o it'll be nice to have kits for the 3 all star teams.
