Well, I agree with you that he is not in the top 100 (maybe the top 500, though), but most football fans have a favourite player.
A lot of Man Utd GLORY http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/frown.gif supporters get asked who they like best, and they just think of a well-known player: "..oh, erm...Beckham. Yeah, I like Beckham...He does still play for United, doesn't he?"
However, I like Quinton Fortune because he is a very good player who is forcing his way into being a Man Utd regular, when 1. he isn't famous, and 2. he didn't cost £36 million.

PS. I also like Scholes.

Well, ive had a look and it seems you are right - I did put Sporting and Benfica, but what I meant was:

1 - Sporting Club de Portugal
2 - SL Benfica

And by the way my knowledge of Portuguese football may not be great, but I still think that Porto won't finish in the top two.
