Hey, the other day i tried changing my game to have the 1024 resolution to see if it would work. It's fine on the menu's and stuff but automatically closes when i start a match. So i tried changing it back to 800x600 but everytime i go to save it with that resolution, the game crashes. Does anyone know why this might be? and how i can fix it?
Thanks alot for the help.

how old is your video card?

Fairly old. It's a GeForce 5600GT or something along those lines
I think that's besides the point though, it worked fine at 800x600 until i tried putting it back to that after switching to the next one up. I tried re-installing the game and nothing happened, i also uninstalled CM08 so everything's the way it was when it did work.. i really dont understand why it keeps crashing.

Try uninstalling fifa and removing all the extra files including the ones from My Documents, and also try updating your vid card drivers before you reinstall.
(If they are already up to date try previous driver versions)
I had that same problem with Fifa 07 but i cant remember how I fixed it...

If you bought the DVD, the ENG.DB should not be altered.
If you bought it via direct download and you're having issues, contact EA tech support.
Something smells fishy to me though. Are you using a pirate copy?
