I think internet play is great, however, how are we going to know whether or not the person we are playing against has not altered their stats? The rule should be that all players are only allowed to play against each other if they have the same config or installing fifa '01 on a separate drive or directory! I think roster updates are ok as it makes the game more realistic, but then again this opens the way for cheaters right up although I don't mind any graphical patches they are ok, however everything else... well I just don't know whether or not some of the results are going to be genuine. Lets look at Quake 3 Arena with the timescale cheat that quickened the individual players speed around the maps and heaven knows what else happened there! Lets hope it does not degenerate into Fifa Cheat City, I would loathe that, after having to wait so long for Internet gameplay! Lets hope everyone and I mean everyone has a ethical and moral approach and we gamers will prevail!

Cheers Guys!! http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Eleftherios,
is there any way to know if someone is cheating? Or is the problem you can't tell? If there is a way to know if someone is cheating maybe we can police ourselves and post cheaters in the forum. (kind of like on a site like ebay where they police themselves by giving negative comments)

just a thought.
