I think what EA are lacking is passion for the game. Go check out ISS Pro Evolution by a some humble Konami team. They might not have the authentic license, the great commentators, the cool music but the game beats FIFA anyday, hands down - or more like feet cut off.
So my question to FIFA is that instead of concentrating on more teams and more stadiums why don't they take care of the fun part of the game like through balls, one-two breakways, lobbed breakaways, goalie one on ones? There are so many areas that FIFA unecessarily lacks in. The realism of it all is really taken away when (for example) Beckham takes a free kick with his left foot or when Owen beats Campbell in an aerial challenge. I think FIFA is a good game that can be great with some polishing. So start polishin' already!
